Ouch, dislocated toes are worse than sprained ankles or even turf toe. If it was his big toe it causes pretty severe pain, but even worse is the instability as if your toe is loose and because the big toe carries 90% of your weight it realy feels like your about to fall over every step you take. The only dislocation on the lower body that might be worse would kneecap or maybe hip (if thats even possible ?). I know when I dislocate my kneecap it usually takes about 3-4 weeks to feel stable again, though admittedly I am in a more rounded shape than these guys (or maybe its pear shaped), hehe. All I can say is I hope he is better before they put him back in. Polumbus (spelling) has more than enough physical talent to do great in the meantime, its just a matter of him adjusting to the speed and flow of actuall gametime.

I only watched the game once and I was to channeled on making sure Orton would get out of there alive to notice exactly who was doing what on the O line considering the pass rush was coming from every angle, left, right and middle. But I did hear some people saying Polumbus looked like the rookie he is out there, of course McD praised his effort today, he has to throw him a bone, he ‘ll be back in Monday. But it was growing pains at best.

Hmm… I just noticed that Polumbus allowed 2 sacks. Maybe I should rephrase what I said- Polumbus didn’t look too shabby in the run game.

Dislocated toes is one of those injuries where you have to be ABSOLUTELY sure that it is better before going on the field (as is the case with most injuries, but especially with the foot and dislocations) because reaggravating it can make it worse and can make it occur even easier next time. On a side note, isn’t Polumbus a guard? His size would indicate that he is; 6’8″ and 310 lbs. Maybe it will turn out that he’s amazing. He certainly didn’t look too shabby subbing in against the Ravens- did you see his block on the first play he was in? Hopefully something good could come out of this.

rbf1, hope you’re right, remember when Deion Sanders had turf toe, he was out like forever… Man, it’s hard to believe that at the O lineman position, you don’t wear shoes stiff enough in the toe area to prevent such injury. I can see it at DB because you need super quickness out of your shoes to handle the position, but not on the O line, just a thought, or maybe he just got stepped on it real hard, LOL. I wonder what Coop would have to say about that.

The Bolts released Chambers due to the emergence of WR Macolm Floyd plus the need to p/u another LB (injuries). Your right though baylinor – Chambers has been in the league for some time now… 8 years. (Traded from the Fins to Bolts for 2nd rd pick in ’07).

He is not that old, 31, but this year he only had 9 receptions so far in 7 games for 122 yards. Obviously a huge drop off in production, he used to dominate at his position.

broncs20 – Harris had back surgery a few years back. Last year was his first as full-time starter at RT. He suffered two dislocated toes yesterday. DP says he should be out three weeks but could return earlier.
