Brian Griese’s Broncos career might have ended in 2002, but his involvement in Denver hasn’t stopped.
In 2002, Griese’s founded Judi’s House to help children and families grieving the death of a loved one find hope & healing within themselves.
His work with the organization, which he created in honor and in memory of his mother, who died when he was 12 years old, has earned him the 2011 Patterson Award for Excellence in Sports Philanthropy, presented annually by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
The award acknowledges professional sports organizations and individual sports philanthropies that have made an exceptional effort in deploying all their unique resources toward a mission that serves and improves the lives of others.
Judi’s House is located in Denver, and more than 2,600 children and their adult caregivers from the metro area have participated in groups since the organization began.
Griese is currently in his second full season working alongside Dave Logan in the 850-KOA radio booth during Broncos games.

That’s a great thing to provide for grieving families. I honestly didn’t know that Griese was in the 850-KOA radio booth. I guess I never listen to them on the radio and when I do it is some regional station that I can get in the Midwest.
Regarding the Palmer trade, I’m not by any mean a Raiders fan, but c’mon even Al Davis thinks that the Palmer trade is rediculous! Makes you wonder if Davis was the one still making the decisions with the Raiders if they continue to make crazy considerations like this Palmer trade talk.

now with the addition of carson palmer and aaron curry last week the raiders have a total of 13 first round draft picks. And still suck. Ha.
Hats off to you griese
Clearly I shouldnt go to sleep anymore … Palmer a raider, People wanting to trade for Forte, Asante Samuels on the trading block … etc … wow
Btw, raiders got raped in that trade … palmer is good but I think cutler is better and was younger when we got 2 1sts for him … and they essentially trade 2 firsts for Palmer? wow … no more first rounders in Oakland … I love it. They must believe they can win NOW. Id have rather drafted a QB but thats jsut me … this past draft they had no first round pick, and now next year and possibly in 2013 they have no first round pick as well … WOW … TRB
Again, I aint’ no Raiders fan but if they “suck” and they beat us..what does that make us????
Also, am I the only one who prays the Browns don’t sign Hillis so we can find a way to get him back? No knock to McGahee but i feel like we were jipped and Hillis the guy we drafted, and many fans saw potential is should be here. Just me tho … but I like McGahee for the record. TRB
Maybe we can trade Moreno for Hillis??
Griese seems to be a better man off the field than on.
Great to hear that Griese is doing things to help the less fortunate,I won’t put him down, but I had high expectations for him when he first arrived in Denver, but at least he is helping the community, great kid, just not that great QB I thought he might be!
Anyone hearing anything else about any trades???
Man I’d like to have Asante Samuels and Forte,we can afford them!!!
Props to Griese. I am really glad anytime to see someone do something for the children. They are the ones suffering the most in times of grief.
