The Broncos on Saturday signed wide receiver Greg Orton, designating wide receiver Mark Dell as waived/injured to make room for the move.
He becomes the second Orton on the roster, joining Kyle — no relation, though both went to Purdue University.
Orton played four years for the Boilermakers and finished fifth in school history in career receptions — 203 — while ranking sixth in receiving yards with 2,356, tacking on 13 touchdowns. He played in all 50 possible games during his career.

For the record I agree with you bay, wateva I hear in practice is meaningless as well. Good to see but like we all know, Orton is a practice play. In the redzone, heat was on him and he had to move out of the pocket sometimes, and could do NOTHING with it. He is only good with the don’t touch me Jersey on. I do like how people at DP try to rationalize why Orton sucked and give him props in practice. Same Media that said he was way ahead of Tebow and Quinn … Ha. Maybe by knowledge of the play book but execution, they all looked about the same in Dallas except Orton has reached his cieling and Tebow and possibly Quinn haven’t yet.
They definitely need to work on tackling drill, I heard they did alot of work on tackling drill today. It killed us last year and this year if we don’t improve, it will kill us again. Rap em up. Champ needs to teach Rahim Moore how to tackle cuz his tackling on Thursday was autrocious.

If anyone should get Redzone practice with first team OL should be Tebow, he is a Redzone ace in my book. Dang. I was really rooting for Mark Dell to make the team. I played against him in high school out here in Michigan and he was a freak. I wish the best of luck to him…I have a feeling he can be a solid player so hopefully we sign him to the practice squad or something…anyways GOOO BRONCOS!
What I have learned is that Orton does nothing but wron, and Tebow does nothing but right…as far as this board is concerned. Tebow is “playing as hard as he can” and no one else is. Tebow is “doing what it takes to win” and no one else is. Orton…got in the Redzone was pressured and “did nothing”. The fade route was a mistimed jump by Lloyd, and the other two plays NO ONE WAS OPEN, so he did what was necessary and threw it away preserving the points. Real game, we RUN from the ONE, this was like a glorified practice. Tebow didn’t lead the team on any TD drives. AND if you watched the film, the man who got held on the play had Tebow dead to rights on the caled back TD. I want to win NOW. Tebow does not give us the chance to do that. However popular he may be, let him run for office, not lead my team. I watched him against the Cowboys THIRD string because remember, a lot of their starters didn’t dress leading to second stringers starting and being replaced by third stringers. he did not look head and shoulders better than them. If Brady plays against your third string you get torched. heck even if CUTLER plays your third string you do. The kid is not NFL ready and I for one do not want the team I love to suffer just because he is popular.
