On Tuesday, the Broncos made a number of transactions, including placing fullback Spencer Larsen on injured reserve.
In his place, wide receiver D’Andre Goodwin was signed to the active roster from the practice squad.
Wide receiver Tim Toone, who will wear No. 82 with the Broncos, was signed to the practice squad.
Goodwin is a rookie who spent the majority of the 2011 season on Denver’s practice squad after signing with the team as a college free agent from the University of Washington.
He had four receptions for 61 yards in the preseason.
With the Huskies, Goodwin caught 124 career passes for 1,478 yards and five touchdowns.
Toone is a first-year player who spent time on practice squads with Buffalo (2011) and Detroit (2010) after being selected with the last overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft from Weber State University.

That makes sense, so no TO and no Moss, how sweet.
If only they signed Eron Riley to the active Roster before he was snagged. Doesn’t matter … we rarely go past 2 WRs any way … 3 tops and when we go empty backfield its often a Draw and TE’s and JJ fill in the spot.
Welcome Barker … I believe you guys are the first married couple on the blogs. Looks like not just the Broncos but the Broncos Blog setting new records lol. Hope you love it as much as Shaz has come to.
Later Days, TRB
Funny how depleted we end up the year in the backfield, no active FBs at all, unless they activate Sylvester this time, and just 3 RBs, that’s right down scary thin and Fox can take a look in the mirror on this one, it wasn’t like I didn’t scream murder in the off season over his lack of addressing it.
Another quality performer IMO. Will like to see what we can get out of him during this playoff run.
Maybe Fox originally thought like Urlacher, that Tebow was a good RB, LMAO!
Good day to everyone in Broncos Country.
Question for – dad13xbroncsfan:
I was just reading about D’Andre Goodwin and read that he played for Antelope Valley High School. (Didn’t mention the city).
Would that be the same school in Lancaster, Ca?
If so, you’ve got a hometown kid on the Team! (active roster).
welcome aboard Goodwin im sure you have Heart since you landed on this team.
Dern new blog. Will repost some replies if necessary.
I usually don’t say much.Been reading the blogs since shortly before the lockout ended.Though I’ve been a bronco fan for 23 years my “football” knowledge is in the process of getting better but is still very low.Keep my fingers under control and try to learn.Been a good place for it.
Welcome barker
I don’t think he thought that Fannin and Moreno would go on the IR, and we did go into the season with Orton as the QB with a more passing offense, but I agree, it was a bit short sighted..
My heavenly Father is AWESOME.
Terrible news for Larsen and I don’t know anything about Goodwin. All I can say is PLEASE catch and hold onto the ball when it comes your way.
Goodwin did real well in preseason at WR and is a very good ST player, better than Riley.
Another DB to help with the pass rush would be great! We’d develop the Orange Crush too easy, and demolish all who stand in our way. All we need to do is hit Brady once, doesn’t matter soft or hard, once he knows that he can be gotten to, his eyes are everywhere and not as focused down the field. He’s a pretty boy that needs his face messed up.
Easier said than done, the Pats have a great O line.
BTW, real good post by truecolors.
His first one on this blog I meant.
The one he actually said something football related in?Hahahaha
From a receiver standpoint I felt Eron Was taller faster and better. Both run 4.3s tho. Eron clearly Taller … from a receiver standpoint he did better than Goodwin (even tho he padded his stats with that short pass from weber that he turned into like 80yrds) in the preseason stats wise but goodwin is also a rook … dunno about ST tho.
Truecolor with a post on topic … interesting…
damSchefter Adam Schefter
Raiders fired Hue Jackson. More on ESPN.
WHOA
I’d take Hue Jackson as our OCoord … heres hoping that McCoy gets the HC job lol.

I don’t really know what kind of music you guys are into, but here’s a good remix to the original Black and Yellow.

that organization is so messed up……….I don’t think it can ever get straightened out.
Also heart goes out to the Philbin family. You hear alot about such things on TV and in the News but you never think u/family member will be the story. No Parent should ever have to bury their child. All I can offer are my prayers.
TRB
That’s what I meant, Goodwin is much more of a ST player than Riley, no arguing Riley had the edge at WR, but they were both good.
With the Raiders letting go of Hue Jackson, Green Bay assistant Winston Moss will get strong consideration to replace him
They already got a GM from Packs … Guess they wanna be Packers West
Maybe easier said than done, but they’re going to rely on Brady’s arm now more than ever. I’ll be surprised if the Law Firm catches a good ground game. Fold that pocket in as long as our DB’s can keep coverage long enough Brady will hit the turf.
Two good things already today.
Raiders fired another coach that looked to have a competitive team and we brought back D’Andre. I am really happy to see the move at wr; but concerned about the full back position. It appears that the Broncos are using their TE’s as full backs in some instances anyway.
It will be very interesting to see what kind offense we are gonna execute at New England. I am thinking we will see a lot of WLJ. Willis, Lance and Jeremiah…. over and over. And maybe some underneath routes.
I won’t be posting a score prediction again this week. Ever since I stopped, we have been winning games……
killerkod, obviously you missed the McKenzie hiring for the Raiders, he is starting to straighten things out, not that this is a good move, but he is going to bring his own people in and watch out! He was a stud personnel guru for the Packs and unfortunately for us will make a great GM for the Raiders now, taklked about that at length during his hire, but it will take time, we might as well enjoy the next two or three years against them, LOL.
It would be nice if some “fans” would quit making slanderous comments about the coaching staff, front office staff and players. With no off season they’ve hired a young coaching staff, two of them already being considered for head coaching positions. Accumulated players with talent and heart. Then they took a 4-12 team, completely changed philosophy after 5 games, got into the playoffs and won the Broncos first game in those playoffs after how many years of playoff drought. Against all odds, our players have proven the nay sayers wrong about out Denver Broncos and have won time and time again. A hell of an accomplishment and deserving of more than the constant redicule by some on these boards. If you all knew so much, you’d be coaching in the NFL dispite your obvious personality flaws. There are no perfect players, coaches or staff in the entire NFL. These guys have done a great job turning this team around, players and staff alike. Show them some love, they’ve earned it. Go Broncos!
I thought Hue Jackson showed promise.
If history has showed us something … getting people from a good franchise doesn’t ALWAYS equal success. I pray they have the McD effect. Get in there trade Darren McFadden and whatever stars they got. I would appreciate it. It could also go the extreme other way with them getting very good but so much change. Cable, Jackson, new guy in like 2 years span. I wouldn’t be surprised if Hue has some HC considerations.
TRB
Considering no legit GM will come to Denver with Elway running things, I’m content with the current staff in the organization, that’s as good as Bowlen could of done to recover from the McD error.

As a result of losing a bet (to the Denver Mayor I believe) … A pic of Pittsburgh’s Mayor Tebowing in a Tebow Jersey … LOL
TRB
Fumbles!!!!HATE um!!Gotta quit fumbling.Got half a mind to get a few bricks made to NFL football measurements and send um to Fox.While at practice the only time a player that fumbled a week before is allowed to set the brick down is during stretches and when a REAL football will be in his hands.
Personally I hope this staff stays put for at least another year. It would be nice to see just what they can do with our team with the off season in tact for a change.
Antelope Valley High School is just down the street from me so Goodwin would be a local boy for me. I don’t follow the local HS sports here cuz I haven’t coached or had kids in the school here – so I don’t remember him. Glad we can silence the TO / Moss noise!
Busy day for me so I’ll be out, but I’m caught up for now.
Welcome Barker! Glad you’re on.
It’s only Tuesday and that gameday anxiety is starting to build.
This week I needed the game to be on Sunday. Saturday I’m working at a Winter Camp for inner-city youths. I get to organize and referee a flag football tournament that has a 10 year tradition. It is a very dangerous job!!! LOL Probably miss some of the game. Urghhh!
I knew we would bring up Goodwin or Orton to the active roster, makes sense,no since wasting money on an over the hill prima donna!!!
Definitely got to give love to McCoy on the last game. Specially the last play. Not only did it catch the Steelers off guard but the Refs weren’t ready to throw their flags either. Not close enough to the end zone. LOL Pittsburg is history!!!!!!!
new blog.
Prediction Time:
Broncos 23
Pats 21
Also got to say that I am extremely disappointed in the offensive performance of LSU and will take any good natured ribbing anybody chooses to give me.
Thx dad13xbroncsfan, I did find it is Lancaster, Ca on his UW profile.
There you go…local kid on the Team.
Welcome barker to the Broncos blogsphere!
To bad we don’t have Enron Riley. but thats ok i bet he’ll do great
thank you to all who welcome me
I saw D’Andre Goodwind do really well in the preseason and was only cut because of the size of the team, well, him and Eron Riley and I’m glad Eron got picked up. Wish we had room for them both. But, D’Andre…welcome back and good luck! Your hard work in preseason paid off! This fan noticed you and am glad you are with us in the playoffs.
