The Broncos have signed wide receiver D’Andre Goodwin to the practice squad, the team announced on Wednesday. Goodwin fills a position that opened when the New York Jets signed wide receiver Eron Riley to their active roster.
Goodwin spent training camp with the Broncos and finished the preseason with four receptions for 61 yards and contributed on special teams.
He attended the University of Washington, where he played 49 career games (21 starts) and totaled 124 receptions for 1,478 yards (11.9 avg.) with five touchdowns.
Riley, who had been on the Broncos practice squad since Week 7 of the 2010 season, led the team with 187 receiving yards in the 2011 preseason.

I just hope Fox doesn’t do to Tebow what Dan Reeves used to do to Elway early in his career. (Not saying Elway and Tebow are the same) This is the point. Dan used to make John play it Dan’s way. Then when it’s not working. They go to the 4th qt and let John play it his way to make a comeback. If you look back at it. That’s why John had some many come back win. Tim is a QB for sure. What type is on him. In FL he had to run the ball especially in the redzone cuz they had no real RB. Percy is playing WR in this league. If anyone tells me they would give Percy the ball on the goal line within 5 yards. the only way he gets in is if the line make a hole. He is not moving the pile. That’s mostly why Meyer ran Tebow. People talk about all his rushing TD. They were mostly on goal line plays.
I am so tired of being farm team for the rest of the league. For the last 5 or 6 years it seems like all we are doing is losing our young talent. The Giants for instance have a receiver Victor Cruz that they have been developing and now he is paying results. Dallas is always doing the same, along with most other good teams. We lose Gaffney, Lloyd, and now Riley.. I mean are they crazy ??? The leagues rules are geared towards the vertical game, doesn’t EFX realize that??? This is the NFL, and you need to develop players at every position. Some guys take a couple of years to grow, but here in D-town if you don’t show up fast you gone….And how has this been working so far?? Pretty darn poorly. We need a strong GM with a vision on the teams future. We are in big trouble as long as ELLIS-XANDERS is running the show. FIRE ELLIS-XANDERS NOW!!!
Hey, first backing up I’ve had about our GM Xanders and I’ve grilled him on three different blogs stating we need to move on from him, and it took armadillo to do it, guess most everyone else think Xanders is doing just fine, wow.

armadillo Joe Ellis does nothing but PR for the Broncos if you really look at it. In that job he is doing a masterful job. X is the root problem. People are not as mad at X in particular cuz we thought McD was really making those moves. Now they think Elway is looking over X’s shoulder on moves. I don’t think that’s the case right now. Thses moves look like the old McD moves. For that X should not get a pass.
Tebow was out 4 weeks with the little bone in the back of the leg Broken.
I cannot believe we let riley go to the jets … wehad the space to make it happen … unfreaking believable … the guy is way better than good win and deserving of a start spot in my opinion … but on a team that doesn pass often or require 5 receivers … no point having him but im so salty. Xanders has been driving me crazy. I think it shows that ELLIS is not willing to shell out the cash for a proven GM. He wasn’t even willing to pony up the cash for Harbaugh (stanford boy). If Elway had any real financial influence, we would have been all over him. We are 20 to 25 million under the cap, and we were unwilling to offer B. Lloyd an upfront cash signing bonus.. This is getting crazy. And we are allowing Xanders to run our team like a little kid. He’s like the loser Fantasy team guy that everyone crushes on trades and waiver picks. He is the Xanders at work, ” Rams: Hey we want Lloyd, what do you guys want?” “Xanders: I’m not sure, what do you guys want to offer up?”.. “Rams: Our hands are tied right now, we can only offer a 5 th or 6th..” “Xanders: DONE DEAL!!” “Xanders to Ellis: Man we just took St. Louis to the cleaners.. A Bay Vaughn is the fastest on the team. Now Willis was the fastest WR at camp.

In an unfortunate way as I mentioned in an earlier blog Bowlen painted himsel in a corner as far as being able to get a quality GM when he made Elway VP of Football Operations. No big shot GM in their right mind will ever take the job under Elway’s authority, so Xanders is not GM material and he is happy to keep the job, and we will suffer for it as much as we have the last two years under him. It’s a real shame, as much as I like Elway I would much rather have him in Ellis position so we can hire a legitimate GM, because neither Xanders or Elway are that.
The Only thing I din’t like about the Lloyd deal was X let Brandon’s agent go seek a deal. The Agent put out the Asking price nationwide. Making X look like a even more idiot. lmao Cuz if you release you want a 3 or a 5 before speaking to anyone for real. If I wanted Lloyd I would call and say I got a 6th. That’s what happened in retrospect.

If we’re gonna talk about money and the lack of it in Bowlen’s coffers that will just depress me to no end, it’s been painfully obvious that money or lack of it has been the driving force since Shanny’s departure and Ellis is in charge of handling Bowlen’s money because Pat’s capacities of running his own business have been diminished the last couple of years for health reasons. Bowlen has the money, Ellis is Bolwen’s right hand man and tells Xanders how much that is and it’s up to Xanders to make the best of it, and Xanders does not know how to do that, has no clue, no business sense whatsover and so that’s our major weak link at this point, because money doesn’t grow on tree but you certainly could get someone who is better at utilizing it, and trades are money, and Xanders is awful at all of that, just my humble reflection on what I have seen transpire since he has been promoted to GM.
Ok Bay-I have packed my “boo-plugs” just in case but agree with Greatness that if Tebow should ever go down I would prefer to see what Quinn has. And Royalbroncofan you have four exciting games ahead. See you there!

Champ runs a 4.44 now he ran that in camp. Royal had that injury so he didn’t run the 40 in camp this yr. But you are right. That why ?I said Willis was the fastest in camp. I know about Bay-Bay 4.38 but as we know he was hurt and didn’t un in camp.
