Well, I won’t have any traffic jam here near Austin, but no Bronco game either, bummer this one isn’t on live tomorrow on the NFLNetwork, will have to wait for the replay Sunday at noon central time. I’ll make sure to get off the website before game time tomorrow and stay off the news until Sunday noon so I will be watching the game as live because I will know nothing about it. That’s the only way I can watch games, it has to be live without knowing the score or it flat out ruins it for me, even preseason. So if I won’t be on Sunday AM in my usual time slot, no need to call emergency, I’m just hiding, LOL.
same as live
The DP just reminded me we are going to play against Scheffler tomorrow, pretty weird, that will be fun to watch.
Glad to know Chicagoland isn’t the only area deadlocked by construction.
Baylin,or anyone else, have any idea what time the game airs?
GO BRONCOS 2K10!!!!!!!!!! Destroy Detroit
If you are in the viewing area, it’s at 7 pm tomorrow on CBS4, if outside the viewing area, have to wait until Sunday 11 am on NFLN.
For Chicago that would be noon central time Sunday I believe.
With all the new additions this week in Worrell Williams and Jason Hunter and the injuries we have. Go to the radio http://www.broncosradionetwork.com/main.html . Web or old school radio. Some options for the game!
GO BRONCOS
FTR
hope tebow plays sat
Does anyone knows the status of TT for the game??
No go for Tebow is my best educated bet, I mean what would be the point, they need to evaluate Quinn anyhow, give Tebow time to recover is the only smart thing to do in my opinion, look how many players have re-injured themselves coming back maybe prematurely from injuries so far, Decker, Thomas and Kuper that I can think of.
No one is going to like this Klis update on the running back situation, at least I didn’t:
Running back update.
Although starting tailback Knowshon Moreno initially was expected to be out three weeks with a hamstring injury suffered early in training camp, he likely will be given a fourth week to rehabilitate and not return to the practice field Monday.
It’s possible Moreno’s first competitive carry of the year won’t come until the season opener Sept. 12 at Jacksonville.
The Broncos hope LenDale White will return from his hamstring injury next week. It’s imperative White get in some kind of game shape before he starts serving his season-opening, four-game suspension.
The status of backup running back Correll Buckhalter remains unclear. He was thought to be out only a week with the back injury suffered on the first day of training camp, but he has yet to return.
Against the Detroit Lions tonight, the Broncos figure to give a long look at running backs Lance Ball and Justin Fargas.
And still Klis about new signee Worrell:
It’s likely too late for him to make the Broncos’ season-opening roster, but Worrell Williams could be a strong candidate for the practice squad.
Yeah, you usually have to have been on the practice squad when no other team wanted your services before you can take the next step.
When the official list of players who won’t be able to dress up for this game today comes out, it will just be overwhelming, not for the faint of heart, only good thing there is still three weeks to go to a real game, this game should officially be known as the M-A-S-H unit game and I won’t be surprise if Detroit hands it to us.
I mean the majority of our back ups are very sub par as we found out last week. Due to the injuries, this is one of the less deep team that I can remember, we are going to be hanging onto a very thin life line, nothing we can do about it this late in the season, about the best thing is knocking on wood for as many injured to come back and remain healthy for the rest of the season. Unfortunately at this point this is where our best hopes hang.
Amazing how quickly a season can take a different complexion, before it even starts, tough sport would be an understatement and tough luck doesn’t even start describing it. Oh well, here come the Lions into town, give it your all with what’s left of the troops and I’ll be fine with that, even if we start our 1st home game this season with a loss, we will still be 0-0 heading out to Jacksonville. I hear many of the Bronco fans who are attending the game are real miffed that they might not see Tebow, all these new #15 jerseys for naught, for now, bummer!
Thanks gents. Yeah this injury thing is a major bummer. I guess we gotta just hope for the best. Keep the faith sorta thing, like 07 Elway so eloquently states!
I wonder how many Orton jerseys are going to be sported this evening! Lmao. Yahoo has a pretty good article on TT this morning.
So who’s seen hot tub time machine? The “drive” never happened. It NEVER happened. That’s some funny stuff!
GO BRONCOS 2K10!!!!!!!!!!
to watch the game on saturday you can go to this website, I’m not from the area but I still watch it
http://atdhe.net/index.html
THANKS 24, I’ll check it out come 7pm.
Did you see Bernard Scott last night…. wow… stuck behind Benson… Please tell me the Broncos would consider trading for this guy considering all the injuries… He looks like a younger, faster, stronger Buckhalter…
Just watching the Pats against the Falcons right now, after the Pats mixed it up real well in their first drive between the pass and the run, Aikman said that the Pats intent this year is to ease up on the spread offense and balance it out with the running game, and boy did it show on that first drive. That is exactly what I have been asking of McD, specially this year, that if we are to be successful we must mix it up way more than McD had done in the past. It would be nice if he sees that game to realize that even his old mentor is agreable to change, can the pupil follow?
IT IS OF THE UPMOST IMPORTANCE THAT WE CONTROL THE TIME OF POSSESSION THIS YEAR with the running game, otherwise our aging D will fizzle out just like last year, period. Not to mention that no way immobile Orton can succeed without the threat of a running game, for once I say let’s go the Pats way!
I can’t agree with you more Bay. We need to have a run game to control time of possession. We all saw how our D got worn out last year because the offense kept giving the ball back to our opponents.
I’m still in shock over all of the injuries we have had. This injury curse is very, very uncool to say the least. All I can say is it will be a very interesting year. Let’s all hope that the football gods start smiling upon us and we can start getting some good new. lol Because this is getting down right ridiculous.
GO BRONCOS….
The player and the jersey…..
There is a little uncomfortable feeling with me as far as the team drafting a 1st rd QB. The last time, I ran out and bought a lot of jerseys. After a couple years he was gone. Now those jerseys are gone to.. negativo mucho denero! Very sad.. I’m not going to tell you about my long lost Griese jerseys..lol
Tebow has giged me for two already and now it looks like I should have gotten the Orton jersey?? Or, maybe not since those will be void after 2011?? I’m confused… And Broke!!
Oh, I bought the Dumervil jersey for my son and…. It’s going to be hanging in the closet for a while… He might outgrow it before he gets to see Doom play again.. “sigh”…We Still love ya Doom! Get well soon!!
I guess I’ll just have to do like I did last year and wear my Old Orange #7 throwback jersey on gameday’s…. Love Me Some JE!
I personally think If you got the hottest selling jersey in the NFL then that means the majority of fans see you are very tallented and believe you will win. It’s not because your pretty and the same religin..
There’s not a coach or anylist in the world of football that can gage the tallent of a player better than the mass consensus of the people who watch this game with the attention, intensity, enthusiasm and love like the American football fans do….
i.e. The guy with the hottest selling jersey should be playing, regardless of experience or the micromanagment of his mechanics or comparison to the incumbant or whatever else the coaching staff can detect under the magnifying glass…
It’s a risk the Coach must take since he moved up so high to draft him.. Thats a 2nd 3rd and 4th picks for that one QB, the one that sells the jerseys.. The tallented one..
Heck, we could have had Toby Gerhart and a couple of mean LB’s with those three picks.. Now that’s what would have really made Orton a lot better QB! Instead, we spend those three picks + a 5th and Hillis for sideline tools to push him through competition to get better.. humm???
I think the investment into the QQ has inadvertantly diminished possible resources from other parts of the team. Now we are thin in depth from mucho injuries and it really shows…
Anyways, I got my Old #7 on and I’m ready to see me some Denver Bronco football tonight!!! I hope Good Ol’e Orton plays well again and shows me some more of those quick and accurate passes… You can Get-er-Done Ort!!!
KEEP THE DRIVE ALIVE BRONCOS!!!!!
ILMSDB!!!!
Well put OC. I would have been very happy with that Toby Gerhart scenario, but here we are. I believe Tebow will be a dynamic player who WILL take us to the promise land. But we gave up an awful lot for competition. Lets all pray that it works out better than Phonzy.
amen, Big D 44…
Nice jersey comment, the jersey wallet pain sydrome, it’s like if i’m at the grocery store or any other line for that matter, I’m always going to pick the line that takes the longest, and if another line looks shorter and I switch line, you can be sure there will a couple of price checks ahead or something that will have me in the slowest line again…. Same with jerseys for you, haha, always getting the one that gets away or is out for the year, good thing you got the all reliable spare, the never out of style Elway jersey.
As you know I have a closet full of retired jerseys, can’t get myself to discard or burn any of them as you know, not even the Cutler jersey, it’s just because of my alliance to the Bronco colors but after spending all that money I ain’t no fool no more, my latest jersey acquisition is a personalized blue orange jersey #00 and “TWELFTH MAN” for name. Never out of style, always current, and I am the 12th Man. I wore it all last season and guess what it will be in style for many more to come, a stroke of genius I tell you, bummer for the jersey sales, but I’ve earned it, I spent my part already, I deserve the break. So all you young fans out here make sure you support your team by buying many jerseys every year and don’t do what I do or the NFL will go broke, haha.
Bottom line for McD, Tebow has to work out, he is McD’s lease on his Bronco life. You mortgage the house on a single investment, the investment fails and you lose the house is how I see it and I would imagine that’s how Bowlen sees it too.
Will W. Willams start tonight? like 3rd string or something!??!? i hope so that would be epic!! any one know what number he is?
ha ha bay… i did the same thing a few years ago! i got tired of buying a jersey with my favorite new players number and name and then 2 yrs later???? poof…. gone! jersey retirement! so i ordered up an alternate orange 00 with my name on the back cuz lets face it. im not going ANYWHERE! and that jersey is super easy to pick out too! i was on a clip from broncos TV when i went to the scrimmage a couple weeks ago. you couldnt miss me! those 00 really stand out!

on a sad note…. one of the guys i work with offered to give me a ticket to tonights game. great seats, and i could have rode up and back with him and his family. he said i would be able to drink as much beer as i wanted since he would be drivin. unfortunately im on call all weekend and cant find anyone to cover for me! how sad! kinda killed my excitement about watching the game tonight!
well, lets tame some lions tonight boys! stay strong.
Go Broncos
“THE BATTLE IS WON IN THE TRENCHES”
49
I hear you ray, but someone’s name is fairly common, 12th man is a bit different.
Bronco-Blaze, Worrel`s # is 49 bro. But I`m not sure if he`ll play. I wonder if he will make the team? If he doe`s I bet he will start out on ST, or perhaps make the practice sqaud. I`ll be rooting for him.
draft time for the broncos blog league, and hardly anyone is in the draft room, 3 mins to go.
denver rocks!!! Sorry I felt I had to write something positive.
60 MINUTES OF FOOTBALL GO BRONCOS!!!
Man,
It is a bummer when playing against a former player that you wish you still had. AKA scheff. Lets see if quinn can throw a pick to Bly, he can run it back for what should be a pick 6, but he will slow down and do a stupid dance before he reaches the endzone, and then get rocked by branson, and then…. Willis will pick up the fumble, and take it for 6 in the other direction. At least we won’t have to watch bly and wish we still had him under his monster contract.
Lets rock these cats!
Meow
Lol @ jazzy. Haha
their is on thing I want to know about everybody. Has anyone taken a look at our schedule, I believe in their are those games you have to win. Most of the teams we are playing are really bad teams. Just take a second and think if jaguars have a chance againts us. The schedule can give us an edge to get our players to recover, and make a run at the end of the season. That’s just my opinion!!!
60 MINUTES OF FOOTBALL GO BRONCOS!!!
yeah,
we do have a nice schedule. You gota figure we will lose a few easy ones, and wind a few hard ones. But if we can take advantage of our schedule, we could easily be a playoff team at 11-5 or 10-6
I don’t like that Jacksonville game at all because of the heat, I lived down in that neck of the woods for 16 years and in early September it will be minimum mid nineties with super high humidity. The way our guys are conditioned so far, McD just said last week how he was not pleased with how players weakened towards the end of the game like Walton and Beadles, and of course all of last year we struggled to finish games and the season, I am completely uneasy about this game and I’m just hoping the team doesn’t think of that game the way some of you guys do. This is the furthest thing from a gimme and it will take an all out 60 minute effort in a seering heat to get it done and I’m not sure we got that in the tank, Jacksonville players are used to it we are furthest thing from that, yeah it gets hot in Colorado, but it’s dry heat, it will be a sauna for them down there, just my opinion.
So in answer to your question manny, yeah I believe Jacksonville has a good chance against us, dont mean to startle you.
Anyway, the adage goes something like: One game at a time, and it’s about exactly 3 hours away from the Detroit one. Go Broncos!!!
Here is some great news, maybe not about us, but great news nonetheless:
San Diego’s veteran OT Tra Thomas retired on his own today, at peace with his decision. One fewer OT for the Chargers.
bay
I guess agree to disagree!!!
Sounds good, we can always re-visit it after the Jacksonville game.
Just watching some of the Bengals-Eagles game, and the commentators just made me feel bad when they said; to make it to the superbowl, you need to stay healthy and have a little bit of luck… Bummer, LOL.
