At the close of this weekend’s rookie minicamp, Head Coach John Fox met the media one final time to wrap up the event.
Below are some quick hits from his press session.
On how the rookie minicamp went:
“Very good. We have a good young bunch. I think they’ll definitely contribute and help the Denver Broncos be a better football team. They went about their business well and we had good focus and very good effort during the camp.”
On how CB Omar Bolden looked:
“I think he had a good camp. I thought he played well and he reacted to our install very well. He has good football awareness and football intelligence. It’s just a matter of learning to compete at this level at a consistent basis and I believe he can do that.”
On whether Bolden will return kicks:
“We’ll get those opportunities. We didn’t do much of that in this camp, but moving forward, we have time to help every one of these guys develop.”
On the addition of CB Drayton Florence:
“He’s another piece that will hopefully make us better. I don’t think you can ever have too many corners with a lot of the multiple receiver sets that you get—and we will get with the types of quarterbacks that we have on our schedule this year. That was problematic for us a year ago and hopefully with some good competition we can fix that.”
In addition, Fox will participate in an F-16 ride along with the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds on May 21.
Fox will take part in a three-hour training and briefing at Peterson Air Force base in Colorado Springs, Colo., before his opportunity to experience flight from a fighter pilot’s perspective during a one-hour ride along.
“I saw some video of that — I didn’t realize exactly it was that intense when I first signed up,” he laughed. “But I’m looking forward to it. I have great respect for our military and it’s a great opportunity to hang out with some of those guys.”
The Thunderbirds’ — the Air Force’s official demonstration team — purpose is to showcase the integrity, selfless service and excellence embodied by American Airmen. Each year, the Thunderbirds team performs the flyover for the Air Force Academy graduation ceremony, which brings the unit to Colorado.

First I had heard of Jarmon being cut for a second year
Ah Ok BT I didnt know that Beal switched from 79 and Jarmon was cut.
My 2:01pm post now has a tag attached saying that it is awaiting moderation. Several had responded to that post so I know it was visible before. Just wondering if it is visible to you now?
DB No there is no 2:01 post from you.
Thanks AB – no wonder you didn’t know what I was talking about when I made the comment about needing to take care of your girlfriend. Ill see if I can post that thing in pieces in figure out what cause the problem.

My soon-to-be #2 son-in-law had the privilege of riding in an F-16. He got the red carpet treatment all set up by the Make-A-Wish foundation including a 30′ banner welcoming him to the base. He had major cancer with surgery and chemo as a teen. I think I’d rather not – thank you very much!
Gentlemen – treat the mothers special!!!
Mommy at our house received 13 notes or poems with handmade artwork. Breakfast in bed was cinnamon rolls with scrambled eggs. The girls are taking care of putting together a salad lunch. Mommy got a complete new outfit – skirt and blouse w/ corsage – from Daddy. We are heading to the lake to swim after lunch. Lord knows I love that woman!!! Can’t ever give back what she means to me – but we try to express it.

I have no idea what is being moderated – crazy.

This is a test of the moderation system – this is only a test.
Still testing:
In reference to the young man marrying my daughter. He was able to get a ride in an F-16. If your page looks like daddy lost his mind and is repeating himself – well mine is worse cuz a half dozen of my posts say that they are awaiting moderation. I don’t know but I suppose I posted something with too much hyphenated. That’s all I can figure.
Dead!Dead!Dead!Dead!Dead!Dead!Dead!Dead!
and dad killed it! Haha
Hi DB… I’m in and out doing laundry… I saw your post from earlier when you were talking to AB, I don’t have any idea why any of those comments would cause a problem…
Killer out— not dead just a little crazy.
I just wish they’d post a list of what cues that moderation.
I have to go tuck everyone in. Daddy out.
we should sign London Fletcher to a 2-year deal.. yea hes old but this guy can read and react fast and most of all, he can tackle and bring toughness.. he could be the voice of our defense..
We cant sign London Fletcher lol hes with the Redskins.
Now everything is un-moderated but the original post. LOL
Nope Bnasty – no matter what you do you can’t have Old Cardiac Fletcher from Shanny. He’s 36!!! What do we need more old players for? If we wanted good old players they should have kept Dawk.
DB,Dawk retired,his choice.
How goes it BFE??
Feltcher resigned with the Redskins before the draft. He isnt available.
Hey AB,how you doing,I didn’t say Fletcher was available,Bronconasty did,I was just telling DB that Dawk retired.
Morning Broncos Country………..
Well, I had a scan through all the weekend posts. A lot of it was pretty comical to read. So much arguing! haha
AB………I’ll have to agree to disagree about our no-playoff prediction. I believe we win the west this year in a close race with the chargers and our division game wins against them will be the difference.
As for Turtle………where ever you are………it’s one thing to reserve judgement until you watch the games, but you’re essentially writing this team off from the get-go and seem quite confident that manning will automatically go down to injury on the first snap. Jeez man, have a little faith in our team.
OT………congrats to your rangers man. They proved to be the better team and pretty much owned the caps in game 7, except for the 2nd period where Lunquist saved the day. I still can’t get over how horrible that caps PP was in the third when they had a chance to tie things up. Gonna be a rough and tumble series with the Devils…………both teams forecheck like mad men.
and welcome to the blog cat……………..
BFE I know. I was just clarifying my statement last night about him not being available.
Morning, Broncos Country. After catching up somewhat on the blog for the past few days, one of my favorite quotes came to mind….again. Seems as though every year there’s a divided contingent on the future season for the Denver Broncos, and the truth is, it’s all based on hopes, dreams, and beliefs….or disbelief. Until they take the field, well…we won’t know for sure how the season will end.
At any rate, you guys have fun battling wits, but ponder these words of wisdom from George Bernard Shaw:
“The moment we want to believe something, we suddenly see all the arguments for it, and become blind to the arguments against it.”
I’m really excited about this season, it seems The Broncos are making a lot of good moves.
Although I didn’t agree with some of the Draft moves, and I have some concerns about losing Dawkins to retirement I can’t wait to see how the rookies pan out. Thanks for the post Gray.
To me the Saftey position is the biggest question mark on the board. I know you can’t replace a player like Dawkins, even though He lost a step His knowledge and communication skill’s are above all others, just look at how the D played when He went down.
I’m focused on one player right now who I hope can acheive the level of perfection that is needed to become The Leader of The Orange Crush Defense. No it’s not Champ. Champ play’s His best on an island in man to man coverage. No it’s not Elvis either, He is a great player but I don’t see Him as the Leader. I also think DJ is average, hopefully JDR can change that.
No the one player I think maybe on the cusp of breaking out a big season is … wait for it… David Bruton. Ya I know He had a less than spectacular year last year but I think He knows that, and with the position open to competition Mr. Bruton may just be ready to take on The Leader role on The Orange Chrush D. Communication is the key here.
TIME OF POSSESSION ! ! !
GO BRONCOS ! ! !
Oh ya thanks BroncWild for the link to that video…
good to hear from you monodono, been awhile since you posted regularly. i agree to a point with bruton. i think he does have the potential but i havent seen it come through yet. not even sure why. he just hasnt been what everyone says he can be. heres hoping that changes this year. would be a great year for it, lemme tell ya. we need safeties to step it up and quick. we also could use a big year from mays, because he has been very average so far.
so db that equation yesterday didnt need any kind of separation, such as a parenthesis? I thought it was a trick question that had different answers based on how you ‘looked’ at it. I thought it was one of those problems that the right answer is theres no answers because its not written right. so i actually approached it all wrong. but really if someones been out of school for more than 5 years i can see how they would forget the order of operations. unless you work with it or teach it. neither of which applies to me to be honest. or most people. but i along with most people are plenty smart enought to function well in society so the fact so many got it wrong isnt that big of a deal. at least thats how i justify my inablity to answer that correctly….
Heres another brain teaser. This one may be a bit easier.
A man is running across a field at night clutching something in his arms as several other men pursue him. He looks back and sees they’re getting closer. In a final burst of effort his pursuers catch up and bring him crashing to the ground. His pursuers stand over him but do not touch him or take what he was carrying. Why not? Who was the running man?
It’s not Moreno…………he would’ve fallen down on his own or dropped the ball long ago! hahaha
Kod you actually got the answer with your joke. Lol. Its a football player running with the ball.
kinda figured as much ab! lol
LBF with that equation there are two ways of doing in.
One way is to do it as you read it in which case the answer is zero.
OR
You do order of operations and get 13.
However there is only one correct answer going by whats mathematical correct which is to do order of operations to get 13. If it was on a Math test 0 would be wrong.
So you are correct that there are two answers about how you look at it and solve it. But only one is technically correct by mathematical principals.
Yea Kod. I was going to post its a bit more relevant to the blog but IMO that wouldve given it away real easy.
kod – I’m pretty excited for this series, should be a hard-fought, tough, and physical match up.. There is plenty of bad blood between these two teams, and I expect it be a long series. I remember my uncle took me to a Rangers vs. Devils game when I was a young buck, and a fight broke out between fans in the isle, right above our seats. My uncle was eating a hot dog at the time, and remained seated, holding his hot dog in one hand, and raising his other arm up to hold up the two guys from falling on us… Pretty funny moment!
Hey there Tide, hope you had a nice mother’s day! Good point on not knowing how our team will shape up, until we see everyone on the field together.. Injuries are also something that can make or break a teams season, and for the most part, are completely out of our control. I think we’ve more than sufficiently offered our sacrifices up to the injury Gods, and I really hope we can remain healthy this season!
Something about that equation has been bothering me. So I did some research.
0 is right and wrong
14 is right and wrong.
It’s a trick question.
If its computed in an algebraic sequence, then yes, the order of operations applies.
However, if it’s computed as its written. In an arithmetic function (left to right, like you would in a calculator), then the answer is zero.
But since this is the Bronco’s Blogsite, the answer is 7… anybody wanna argue with me on that?
Broncos Country Strong 2012!
Which reminds me of the 3 most common lies in life-
1) I promise it won’t happen again
2) Not me
3) You’ll use algebra in the real world
