Final Score: Broncos 16, Cardinals 13

August 31st, 2012 - 12:11am by Tyler Everett

Denver’s offense came alive after halftime to erase a 10-0 deficit and squeak out a 16-13 victory over the Arizona Cardinals.

Arizona tied the game at 13 with just 52 seconds to play, but thanks to a 45-yard completion from quarterback Adam Weber to wide receiver Greg Orton, Denver found itself in field goal position with time winding down.

Kicker Matt Prater came on for the game-winner from 44 yards out and nailed it to give his team the victory as time expired. It was Prater’s third made field goal of the night.

After trailing 10-0 well into the third quarter, the Broncos came back to take a 13-10 fourth quarter lead. But a 35-yard field goal by Arizona’s Jay Feely tied it at 13-all with less than a minute remaining.

Running back Knowshon Moreno turned in a strong first-half performance, gaining 49 yards rushing on just seven carries. Moreno’s success highlighted a balanced rushing attack that included solid nights for rookie Ronnie Hillman, who picked up 68 yards on 14 carries, and Jeremiah Johnson, who picked up 31 yards on five carries.

Not only watched AB… went to one and watched it live. Ayers didn’t blow it up this preseason, but neither did many others that this team will depend on…

You don’t have to convince me, I’ve wathced enough film to form my own oppinion!!! :)

Not trying to convince you. Actually I would say a lot of who this team depends on did very well this preseason. The worst they did was decent. That is of course not including Ayers. As he has been awful. He wasnt even good at stopping the run which is where he has really excelled at. Well supposed to have excelled at.

No use debating with AB. In his mind only his opinion counts. I have the same feeling about Ayers, and yes AB, I also watched the games.

Well they are my opinions. Not yours or BTs. So why should my opinion really matter to you guys? Lol I state my opinion on here just like everyone else. And yes like everyone else I will defend my opinion. And the preseason performance actually backs my opinion up.

Must be blind to not see how Ayers has played awful this preseason or that Jackson has clearly outperformed him.

Like I said before I really dont think Ayers will be cut but to me he should be. As he has clearly been outperformed.
