Final Score: Bills 40, Broncos 14

December 24th, 2011 - 2:11pm by Kenny Legan

The game has gone final in Buffalo with the Bills beating the Broncos 40-14.

The Broncos started off strong, going up 7-0 after a 1-yard touchdown run from quarterback Tim Tebow on the Broncos first drive. However, after a field goal and touchdown from Buffalo, Denver never could regain the lead.

Tebow threw a touchdown to Daniel Fells to conclude the first drive of the third quarter and bring Denver within three, 17-14. But the Broncos couldn’t overcome Tebow’s four interceptions, two of which were returned for touchdowns.

Check back soon for more coverage and reaction from the locker room.

    Pick 6 for Rivers

  2. shaztah says:

See 37-10, bad loss for them. So are they going to say Rivers cant play and should be maybe a running back. LMAO

Ty, why in God’s name would I want to lighten up? I’m simply speaking the truth. Come at me any way you want and I’ll tell you how it is. I’ve had enough money in the bank to buy anything I ever wanted in life and I’ve lived in a tent. As a former Gator, I watched every game Tebow ever played at Florida and I was a Bronco WAY before that. Love it or hate it…I’ll tell you like it is. The biggest problem that the Broncos have right now is John Fox. Second is McCoy; and third is our entire receiving core. Say whatever you want to about Tebow. He’s already FAR exceeded everyone’s expectations of him this year. Right now, the LOSERS are John Fox, Mike McCoy, John Elway (Tebow has far surpassed ALL 0f his statistics except for Superbowl wins) and last, but not least, billionaire owner, Pat Bowlen. Only time will tell whether or not Bowlen is smart enough to right the ship. Once the Jags leave Jacksonville, there is still Nine West Shoes. Bowlen might not be so lucky. The tides are changing pretty rapidly.

its called the patriot effect. loss after loss to patriots. happens to most.

  5. Bronco_Turtle says:

Guys… No worries! Tebow had a rough one, so did the D in terms of stopping ball movement… Finally a little TE love…

Big Picture… If Oakland loses to SD then Den is in the Playoffs!!!

LOL… O’yeah, they control their own destiny still… :o ) Win and your in… Lose and Oakland lose and we’re in… not time to panic yet in Bronco Country!

Von TEBOW FOOTBALL… Von gets downgraded to not all caps because he has 2 tackles in the last 3 games… (1 of which he was inactive)…

We need to force turnovers for this team to be real affective! again, No worries… :o ) We are going to the playoffs!!!

  6. FLBroncoGator says:

Yeah. Because Miami almost beat the Patriots today. You get the genius of the year award.

  7. FLBroncoGator says:

Turtle, I agree with you. Turnovers are the KEY! Unfortunately, Fox has yet to teach his team how to hold onto the football. Today, they were in the air. Last week, they were on the ground. Either way, if you can’t hold onto the football, you don’t win games. With the amount of turnovers we’ve had in the last two weeks, my players wouldn’t even be able to beat off because they’d have a football glued to both hands all week.

Tim will be fine but tho I haven’t seen the post game interview it would be great if he showed he cared more about the loss. But I do not doubt his passiong for the game.

Plain and simple, our offensive scheme sucks. We either run too much or pass too much. Never balanced. We are always exclusively one thing. The play clling rarely calls for slants. All we do is go deep and they know it. But I also feel tebow tries to make the big play instead of take the underneath route as well. Whenever we get to far away from the run and become 1 dimensional. We lose plain and simple.

Second, this is for those who believed our defense ws so awesome and the reason we were winning. In the tebow stretch we have faceds only 3 count em 3 potent offenses. Pats, lions nd buff which is when our d has shown their colors, However in this past 2 weeks we haven’t helped the situation on offense by turning it over. 4 Ints … so untebow like but that’s what happens when u only go deep.

Special teams, they took it to the house and we need to use royal more on returns. Its clear … are we the only ones who see it?

Play calling is poor but the guys don’t execute either. Especially on defense. We need so much defense help we get gashed. Recievers could be better. But don’t get it wrong either tebow has a long way to go. We have been working around his deficiencies but they have been exposed recently thx to bad game plns.

    BALANCED OFFENSE. ITS SIMPLE.

Either way if we don’t make playoffs its fine. We are not proving ourself to be good enough. We are still the same bad team with sparks from von and tebow. But we need to execute period and we aint. Its that simple.

TRB, I have to say, that’s the smartest post I’ve read of yours yet. I agree with everything except that we need to play Royal more. What we need to do is draft some guys with good hands. Right now, we don’t have any.

  10. thecladybunch says:

Honestly cant say I’m surprised we lost but i didnt see any sence of urgency in this game. We clearly miss DAWKINS as i stated last game. FINALLY they benched Q Carter but it’s still to little 2 late. Once again the secondary played bad and wish we had a replacement for Moore. Bruton played well tho. Clearly the hand is hurting Miller, hope he gets the cast off soon.

  11. thecladybunch says:

they are saying it was ahamstring injury for Q Carter, none the less it was better when he wasnt playing….

  12. OrangeTsunami says:

TRB – well said, you nailed it.. Not sure if it’s the play calling or Tebow’s reads, but someone needs to right themselves – and quick.. Willis needs to be WR and Royal is full time returner and maybe out of the backfield, on the option.

For the record, this is why I say we need another pass rusher.. It’s been weeks since we’ve brought the wood… And that’s what we,need for this to be successful. Typically pass rushers are scarce which is why we go that route round one.. Then best available CB and seriously contemplate maybe moving Champ to safety..

  13. webwork says:

my god you people are dumb

  14. OrangeTsunami says:

    Attn Coaching Staff:

Know your players, even if you did not draft them.. Seems like we need a return guy, and seeing that we run the option at times, I guess we could also use a guy who’s a good outlet in the option…… Just saying..

  15. thecladybunch says:

we obviously need to add more “speed” to the offense thru draft….

  16. OrangeTsunami says:

We need to add a free agent safety or we move Champ, but we need experience at the safety postion next year.. Dawk might not have another year in him and it’s tough to ask to rookies to step up down the strech on a playoff run w/o an offseason… The last thing we need is another rookie there, and we already need a CB and DT, plus serious pass rusher anywhere in the front 7

  17. OrangeTsunami says:

    *two

  18. tnalen66 says:

i said this was a scary game for us. Another late season colaps. The only way we will make the playoffs is by everyone else losing. Now i have to be a Charger fan next week. We really need a true #1 WR, and a catching TE. Oh yeah we had those.Well here is my pic for next week KC 41- Denver 13. The Chefs will run all over us and Orton will get his revenge with a couple of TDs

  19. tnalen66 says:

Oh yeah another lose for Christmas!

  20. 3rdGeneration says:

Lost in every phase of the game. I’m not sure what’s going on with Miller. He is a rookie, so maybe he’s wearing down. He’s essentially disappeared the last two weeks. Poor job of contain multiple times today from multiple people. Having Dawk out really seems to affect our D. Bruton played ok, but Carter and Moore continue to struggle, ecspecially Moore. Does Mays still play on our team? He’s been largely absent the last two weeks along with Miller. Agree with many that our play calling is questionable at best. I don’t see McCoy with us much longer, but hate that our young O will have to learn a new system if he is gone. Also, I like how he’s adjusted our offense to suit Tebow, but overall he’s not calling good games. Our receivers struggle to get open, but question if it’s the route combinations or them. Royal should be our return man….it’s not like he’s contributing to the offense much as of now. Tebow played ok…many of 3 of them i would argue wouldn’t have changed the outcome. It was already out of reach. Overall the loss gave me a reality check more then the others. We have some work to do to be a legitimate force. Hopefully we squeak in the playoffs. Once there, anything can happen. It would also be great experience for our young teams future.

  21. thecladybunch says:

True, i dont think we can go with Dawk next season and just hope he is healthy all year, i think will be ok as long as we dont go down like 10 points against KC and dont lose the turnover battle. BTW not usre if it would have made a huge difference but was anybody else saying WTF on the Royal return that was called back?? that was a bush league call once again…

  22. FLBroncoGator says:

On a bright note, with less than a minute to play, we actually went for it, once, on 4th down.

I haven’t read much of the previous posts’. I just want to rant, so forgive me if I am about to repeat things already posted on this blog.

Today: No run stop D, rookies in the backfield not even set when the ball gets snapped, on one play Champ wasn’t even set, trying to tell the rookies where to setup. I mean WTF, and can somebody please tackle in the open field? When Harris, a DB, is one of your leading tacklers, there is obviously something wrong. Now Harris may be out next week with a neck injury adding to a dearth of a passing defense. Also, if the backfield can play the ball rather than the receiver we would be stacking up INTs and winning the t/o battle, which once again proved to be the coup de grâce.

Tebow needs to learn how to look off his receivers’ to hold the safety especially when throwing down the seam—if you lock on you target, the safety just needs to play center field, resulting in an easy INT. Tebow also needs to sell the play action way better! And he needs to keep the ball more (percentage wise) on options to keep the D honest.

TEs are a young QBs best friend. I, for the life of me don’t understand how McCoy cannot see this, HELLO! People on this blog have been saying that since Tebow took his first snap. I mean come the frick on! If you want your TE to block let him chip and then sneak out to help Tebow.

We need to right this wrong. This team needs to FIGHT and start knocking heads off. We control our own destiny a win and we’re in. We cannot let this run crumble as we have in the past.

For those of you who say Tebow is out, or needs to be. You need to get your head checked. Last I checked if it wasn’t for TT and a healthy D we wouldn’t even have a shot at the playoffs.

TEBOW WILL PROVE WHY WE BENCHED ORTON FOR HIM NEXT WEEK!

GO BRONCOS — NEVER SAY NEVER!!!!

One Last rhetorical question before I go celebrate X-mas Eve with the fam. If I would have told you at the beginning of the year that we just need to win our last game of the season to get into the playoffs, wouldn’t you be all over it after the season we had last year?

    Just Believe!

    Merry Christmas!

When I said use royal more I meant on returns … is it just me or has he darn near taken it to the house EVERY TIME he returns the ball.

Willis does more as a reciever. Royal is better returner AND YET … willis is returning and royal is playing offense … its ridiculous … im not saying give up on royal as a receiver but clearly his focus needs to be more on KR

And we keep getting bad penalties … that KR for a TD coulda given us momentum back
