Falcons Strike First

September 17th, 2012 - 6:54pm by Sam Davis

The Falcons took a 7-0 lead early in the first quarter following a Peyton Manning interception.

The interception came on a third-and-long situation, as Manning tried to hit tight end Jacob Tamme over the middle. Falcons safety William Moore jumped in front and intercepted it, returning it 33 yards to Denver’s 1-yard line.

After being stuffed twice, running back Michael Turner ran in the score from the 1-yard line on his third attempt.
