When the Denver Broncos take the field in Miami on Sunday, they will play with five active receivers who each have no more than four years of NFL experience.
The Broncos traded their most senior receiver, Brandon Lloyd, Monday, but Executive Vice President of Football Operations John Elway spoke about his excitement for the young group of receivers to take the main stage on DenverBroncos.com’s live audio show ‘Elway Live‘ Tuesday.
“We felt it was an opportunity for us to get another draft pick and build, and also with the young guys we have at wide receiver, that they’ll be able to pick up the slack and continue to grow,” Elway said.
With receivers Demaryius Thomas and Eddie Royal, as well as tight end Julius Thomas, returning to practice in the last week, the Broncos are poised to have a relatively clean injury report heading into Sunday’s game.
Elway believes the bye last week came at a great time as it allowed players time to heal and prepare for the second half of the season.
“Coming back off this bye week, we should have everybody back,” Elway said. “We should be as healthy as we’ve been all year, including the receiving corps. We’re exciting about getting going again, and hopefully we can start the second half of the season, the next 11 games, and start winning some of those games.”

And another one … man … this HAS to be a blogging record lol. Good stuff. TRB
Is Dawk included in everybody?
Tebow prime will definitly be an upgrade for us. The Thomas twins will make some plays and our Defense wilk be solid. MARK MY WORDS!
MARK MY WORDS seems to be the flavor of the last two blogs, should I start a new file to see if we should really ever listen to those who make such proclamations? Bomber’s was mild but you should read the one at the end of the last blog, he has it all laid out for us, LOL.
I thought D.Thomas must be 100%,or they never would have let the one year wonder(LLoyd) get away!
trueonbfan says:
Mark my words. Tim Tebow will win at least one NFL MVP honor, at least one Superbowl AND he will be in the NFL Hall of Fame.
I thought that was worth a repeat for the ones who feed on this kind of stuff.
lol…just wishfull thinking..thats all
Yeah BFE I read somewhere DT says this is by far the best he has ever felt health wise as a pro, we’ll see if that can last. But I agree with some other bloggers that the bigger news about a Thomas being back is Julius, he should help Tebow out a lot more than DT.
In fact as Elway refers to, the whole team is now as healthy as it’s ever been and they have a great platform Sunday in the Dolphins to launch them onto better things, it’s all up to the team now, how bad do they want it, we’ll see.
Mark my words: Broncos – 68, Miami – 6! On second thought, I’ll just stick with guaranteeing that the sun will rise tomorrow. Safer bet, I think. However, if we DO win 68-6 on Sunday, I’ll officially predict our Super Bown victory in a blowout against the Pack. Mark my words!!!
Yeah that trueonbfan was funny, he probably doesn’t know it but he described about only a third of Elway’s accomplishments, LOL.
I hope everybody is this hyped up after we play Detroit!
This is definitely not a test, it will come next week, specially if Detroit loses against Atalnta for two losses in a row, we will know much more come two weeks from now.
We will be hyped when Fox shakes Schwartz’s hand after we win!
I can see it now, Tebow sets a record for every type of player and runs for 769 yards and scores 11 touch downs. They can’t find him after the game, he’s still running and is halfway through Georgia when the plane leaves for Denver. Mark my words………
I predict “mark my words”will be said at least 3 more time during this blog alone.
D.Thomas,Royal,Decker,J.Thomas,Fells,Moreno outta the backfield,Tebow should have plenty of check downs,I just hope McCoy calls a gameplan to fit Tebows skills,(rollouts, bootlegs,QB keepers, etc)if he does we should come out smelling like a rose!!!
How in the Hell did you get so many letters to show up in your handle?
Aren’t your words marked when you type them and submit them via the world wide web?
lol..j/k

So I inquire again! What’s Dawk’s neck’s status?
Really I just wanted to see how many apostrophes I could string together in a sentence.
Doesn’t sound like Dawk will be playing with the addition of Bush.
Anyhow here is hoping that Sunday’s game against the Dolphins won’t be a trap game for us.
LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyone here like NBA?
I just realized the raiders traded for 5 years worth approx of washed up first round talent and gave up on average 8 years worthy of first round fresh talent twice over.. Really bad trade good for Denver
“May the Schwartz’s (Jim) be with you” when you have to shake his hand in two weeks Fox!!! LOL = broncsbomber66
Perhaps he should be working our post game hand shake for this week with the Dolphins “INTEREM” coach!!! Has he been fired yet???
GO BRONCOS!!!
broncsbomber66,
The NBA sucks!!! LMAO
All of those bogus moves and they are still better than us. That is sad.
NBA does suck, ever since MJ retired.

Bomber pretty much summed it up, we are in no place to make fun of how the Raider’s organization has been ran, at least not in the last three years, just saying.
5 dollar foot long,, any any
hope we stay healthy… No turning back now… I say we win this sunday. 30-20 the dolphins are not looking good at all. Miller is going to get some more sacks this weekend.
Kind of confused with the Lloyd trade. A 6th round pick???? Are you kidding me? He is a pro bowl receiver who lead the league last year!!! Just because DT is back, we are deep enough to let a guy like Lloyd go? What has DT done? We don’t even know if he can play in the NFL, let alone be our #1 WR. He is made of glass as is Royal. Then we have JT a rookie TE that has played 2 games and has caught maybe 3 passes and is already compared to Gates. Come on Denver!!!! Wake the F up…. This is insanity.
We have no talent and no vision coming from the front office. Seems like the front office is setting Tebow up to fail. Even Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers would struggle to win with this team. Might as well trade Clady since he is a LT, Xanders could probably get a 4th round for him.
Now thats a rant!
Bay I think we are in a perfect place to make fun of the how the Raiders have been ran because:
A) FTN
B) None of us have personally run the Broncos organization (Carnage applied but they told him he was overqualified) so it isn’t on us anyway.
WTF???
No new blog, man this one is so old!!!
Just listened to Demaryius podcast…. sounds like the kid is ready. Lloyd’s trade definitely opening the door for him.
There’s no doubt his physical presence will create matchup concerns for opponent. If he’s good to go, he shouldn’t have a problem going up for the jump ball. (Yes, he also played basketball..lol)
The ‘fins are strong vs the run but weak against the pass.
Broncos – 24
Dolphins – 13
Can’t overlook any game especially this week on the road. We have a new QB coming in who hasn’t gotten a lot of snaps or off season so lets just hope for a W to build his confidence and move on. Not to mention we just traded our #1 wr. But I am happy with all these moves obviously! Remember we only have one win this season so it’s not like we’re that much better than Miami..
I wasn’t serious about not bad mouthing the Raiders, obviously a rivalry of ours for life but bomber made an excellent point.
Its easier to get value before the season starts … they have already not used him for 6 games. mix that will the fact he is 30 plus and will be a free agent at the end of this year and voila … he doesn’t trade for much. At least the pick can turn into a 5th. Woulda been happier if it coulda turned into a 4th or a 3rd … just me tho. But we got something. Good enough.
I agree Bay, Our first true test is Detroit … and they are good … but they arent that good … I called the loss against san fran cuz quite frankly before san fran they had played no one of worth. But they are still better than us so to beat them would be an accomplishment … I will not be surprised if they lose to ATL … that would be the 2nd good team they have played. I aint sleeping on the lions but I just don’t think they are all that … and if we can beat em and sen dem into their bye week 5-3 from a 5-0 start … would bring me great pleasure lol.
TRB
I predicted 45 – 10 in Broncos favor. I tend to be a bit passionate and you are welcome to chide after the game, but I like my prediction.
I like it because Miami is weak on their run defense and I think McGahee is going to have a break-out game.
I like it because MIA is expecting Tebow to run – and the Broncos game plan is going to focus on pass.
I like it because DEN is KKB and taking numbers on special teams and Cosby is likely as not to pop one for six.
I like it because Tebow is gonna have homefield advantage for this away game.
and I finally like it because Moore is gonna give DEN defense a better than average opportunity to score.
no disrespect to MIA is intended though they aren’t playing like they have respect for the game (last night against the Jets was a disgrace) with the exception of the monster for whom I wish many dropped passes and much ‘Champ’ in his face!
Still haven’t seen any confirmation that Dawk is IR?
IR? I haven’t heard anything even remotely close to that, but with a neck injury anything is possible, ask Peyton Manning.
IDK TRB? the DET / SF game was one of the best games so far this year and I thought it could have easily gone either way. It certainly wasn’t dominance.
I think ATL loses and – though I’m disappointed that DEN doesn’t get to be the first at taking them down – I agree that Lions will be a good test. I don’t predict a win – but I am hoping that DEN gives them a heck of a game.
Raiders will be the bigger test!
Bronco TE Nate Jackson talking Fox, Tebow and Orton, good read from a football player, you should check it out:
Forgot the link, haha:

bay – were you saying that you think Bush is beating Dawk out for the start? Or were you saying that Bush will start over the injured Dawk?
Not looking to take you to task, just figuring you have more time to look around and investigate.
I can’t figure why folks are baggin’ on Dawk when up until the SD game Dawk has been flyin’ around like a rookie with veteran reads.
Too bad they released FB Sylvester from the PS, I guess the new FB we just acquired was his death bed, that and the new DT addition to the PS, a DT, finally:
The Broncos only action today was to sign defensive tackle Sealver Siliga to the practice squad. Siligia, a 6-foot-2, 305 pound rookie from Utah, spent training camp with the 49ers. The team released fullback Austin Sylvester from the practice squad to make room for Siligia.
That article pretty much sums it up.
