Elway Access to Premiere Tuesday

September 10th, 2012 - 6:23pm by Tyler Everett

Broncos fans with questions for Executive Vice President of Football Operations John Elway have a chance to hear them answered on Elway Access.

The first episode of the new season of Elway Access, a 30-minute podcast hosted by Broncos TV’s Chris Hall, will be posted Tuesday afternoons throughout the season on DenverBroncos.com, starting Sept. 11.

Fans can submit questions for the show via Twitter using #ElwayAccess.

Elway broke down the Broncos’ 31-19 victory over the Steelers Monday at 6 p.m. on the Broncos’ partner station, 9 News KUSA-TV.

“First of all, that’s a huge game,” Elway said of the season-opening win. “Playing the Steelers, we were going to find out where we were right from the get-go, with the history that the Steelers have and the team that they are. It was a huge, huge win for us, especially when you look at our schedule and how tough it is these first six or seven weeks. It’s important to get these home games, especially to get that opener.”

The Broncos won despite facing a 19-14 fourth quarter deficit after Pittsburgh dominated possession throughout the third quarter.

“That was unbelievable,” Elway said. “And a lot of that credit goes to (Steelers quarterback) Ben Roethlisberger. He was moving around and making big throws and picking up third downs. So a lot of that credit goes to him. But we were able, when we did get our shots, we took advantage of the shots. When we had the ball and got going with the no-huddle in the second half, we were able to take advantage of the times we did have the ball.”

LMAO I wonder if BT posts just to feel good when he sees his own tag and makes it feel like someone actually cares about what he thinks.

Anyways i will be gone for a few days (Here you go BT another chance for you to talk bad about me like last time I had to leave for a bit) as I will be flying to Colorado to hopefully see my uncle before he passes on. PEYTON MANNING! I’m in love with that guy. Best ever.

He is my shining light of today. We have a fire on our little mountain here that is now at 10,000 acres and still going Sargon with the crazy wind. It’s been a bummer of a day. Sorry Colorado, the smoke is coming to you.

But I came home and watched Peyton highlights and I feel better.

  8. tlcat06 says:

*strong…. How did my iPad get Sargon out of that?

  9. Banned_inc says:

It goes without saying I think Payton is close to being—well Payton! This was the best game to watch on Sunday!! Being a fan or just loving a good football game! We shall see if Fox will give Manning the no huddle sooner than later as the season goes on!! Be warned all NFL teams we have both corners covered!! Champ and Porter! We have the rushers to change your game plan! Loved watching good football!!
    GO BRONCOS!!!

  14. Bronco_Turtle says:

Man… Burris is looking solid at LB for Oakland! Rookie out of San Diego State… and it’s tough to see Royal wearing a Chargers jersey, even if it is number 11

  15. Bronco_Turtle says:

FTR… who is Payton? are you talking about Sean Payton? or who, our Quarterback is PEYTON FREAKING MANNING bud!!! and yes, Peyton looked very much like his old self! which makes us all very happy!

  16. Bronco_Turtle says:

Rosario also playing for the Chargers! and really cool to see that the real UW (University of WYOMING) has at least one game changer repping us in the league… Malcom Floyd! man is a baller!

Uhhh… Hey Peyton! Back ups all day next week in Atlanta’s Secondary! Tear them up…. I’m predicting his first 300+ yard game in Orange and Blue!!!

  18. SWBronco says:

So apparently we just signed Brady’s old center. I’m not sure what to think of this. On the one hand I’m aware that Walton seems to be everyone’s least favorite center, but I feel like we didn’t need an upgrade after last night considering Walton and Manning are just getting comfortable you know? Anyone have an opinion?

  19. strandoftds82 says:

We signed a Center? Maybe just a backup with experience to give us some breathing room for depth.

  20. strandoftds82 says:

Wow, Atlanta is in bad shape then in the backfield, not good for them at all.

  21. strandoftds82 says:

What a trip. I just read the article in the DP and we did sign Koppen. WOW!!

  22. tlcat06 says:

Malcolm Floyd= beast… I know rivals but he will always be a Cowboy! #gowyo

I have decided I have got to get a sign that says “Home of Zane Beadles” somewhere right before you drive into Casper…

  23. strandoftds82 says:

    FAIDERS SUCK!!!!!!!!!

  24. DaddyBronc says:

Sorry I missed talking to you Cat – I wasn’t being rude. I had to be out of the office. I just got home at about 11:15 pm tonight.

Anyone know if Siliga has gone back to the practice squad?
Who is being cut to make room for the new center that was signed?
(or is Peyton paying him? LOL)

I would have preferred the SD game to be the blowout – but doesn’t it seem like half or more of the games were serious mismatches.

I think I’m a little surprise that the BeenGals got whomped on that bad. I kinda like their not so little red-headed QB, Dalton. He’s impressed me a bunch. I gotta go look at his stats.

KC and Oak already playing ‘Ketchup’. Hahahaha!!!!! Scalp the Chiefs!!! / Davy Jones the Raiders!!!! / Light up the Chargers!!!! Let’s go Bronnnccccoooossssss!!!!

  25. Orange27CRUSHER says:

The “O” looked unstoppable and the D played strong when it mattered most. I like the Tracy Porter addition opposite Bailey. Great first game! 8)

  26. killerkod says:

    Morning Broncos Country!

Well, I guess it’s back to work for our team today. A lot of preparation will be required to slow down Atlanta’s O at home in the dome. But I think Peyton will feel at home in the dome too, so it could be a real shoot-out. If we can put a lot of pressure on Ryan though, he will make mistakes. Just look at how the Giants made him look like a high school QB in the playoffs last year.

It’s gonna be a huge test, and a tough game to win given Atlanta’s record at home……..but if we can start the season 2-0, we have a great chance of getting out of this tough 6 game sched at or above .500!

    GO BRONCOS!

Loved seeing the faiders suck…….and the chargers didn’t look at all dominate either. Great news for us!

  27. DaddyBronc says:

    Hey Kod,

I think you’re right. SD definitely didn’t win. They looked pretty bad.

    Raiders beat themselves.

I suppose Raiders are just genetically predisposed to penalties. It’s inexplicable if Dennis Allen can’t mature the team and make them play disciplined football.

  28. DaddyBronc says:

Bowling for D.Allen!!! LOL What was that???

  29. Bronco_Turtle says:

    New Blog

  30. Chazzo says:

Way to go Broncos! Was gettin a little worried watching Big Ben get all those 3rd down conversions, he played a heck of a game. I’ll be the first to say way to go Knowshon Moreno, my favorite Bronco. He scored a nice TD and had I do believe 2 first down pick-ups, one for sure on 3rd down. Many thought he would not be a Bronco this year, but I new that to be B.S! Now time to shoot the bird out of the sky-Falcons.

  31. Bronco_Turtle says:

Who would of thunk that losing your long snappeer could cost you 3 possessions in your own end of the field… The Raiders looked solid, giving up only 22 when Phylis had an average starting field position on the Raiders half of the field for two full quarters…

The Chargers looked good too, sporting two Broncos from last season (cough, traitors!) Royal and Rosario
