Election Day Has Arrived

November 6th, 2012 - 2:24pm by Stuart Zaas

As America sets to elect our country’s next president, there are plenty of other places to cast a vote today.

ESPN’s SportsNation asked fans who they would vote for if there was an election for the “President of American pro team sports?”

The majority of voters chose Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning over the other four candidates, Derek Jeter, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant and Tom Brady. The only states not to side with Manning, who received 53% of the 92,568 votes cast were Connecticut, which went with Jeter, and Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire and Massachusetts, which all chose Tom Brady.

As people have voting on their minds, ESPN has issued another poll, asking fans to weigh in on who has had the better comeback season, Manning or Vikings RB Adrian Peterson. To share your thoughts, use the hashtag #APvsPeyton.

And don’t forget, Pro Bowl voting remains open for fans with 27 Broncos players listed on the ballot. The fan vote counts as one-third of the final decision with player and coach voting making up the remaining two-thirds.

PFM should be named the MVP at the end of the year. He’s on pace for 40+ TD’s, 4000+ yards, and a league leding QB rating. To be able to come off those surgeries, miss an entire season, and come back to lead this team like he has leaves no question marks. He’s changed this team in so many positive ways and has just flat out made us better. We’re now a real contender.

I’m loving how this season is unfolding. That comeback win in SD was the tipping point in our season and now we’re starting to roll. It won’t be easy sledding the rest of the way……….it never is in the NFL. But we have a great chance to win the rest of our games. Just take care of business in the division and it’ll all work out.

    GO BRONCOS!

I said it after the SD game and Ill say it again. This is in reference to that comeback win.

“When the dust settles on th 2012/13 season, we will all look back on this moment and say ‘this is how the west was won’”

The season is young but it is hard to imagine PMFM not being this years MVP.

Was Kuper’s injury to the same leg he broke last season?

Brian, I found out it was the same ankle as before (left).

I hear ya RH709………still a half season to go……and anything can happen. But with The Neck playing behind what is arguably the best O-line in the league, he can only get better and better.

They’ve been searching for the identity of our O in the media……I believe we’ve formed it. Execution, Accountability and Resilience.

The Broncos haven’t allowed Manning to be sacked in 3 straight games. Keep up the good work O-Line!! Real Nice!!

  7. Broncos20 says:

Our O-Line is playing like football gods….they protect manning like there’s no tomorrow..I love it!!
I saw a post on YahooSports naming the ALL MIDSEASON TEAM.. and Joe Thomas was placed over Clady???those guys are on something..and just aint right!

against a banged up Carolina D, i cant imagine how much points we’ll put up on them..
