Broncfalls

I am sure that JMac was close to tears after the last game and the loss of a play off slot effected him badly. He is a passionate coach and I think some of his actions would have been tempered with more experience. However it is extremely difficult to manage millionaire players who lead a warrior like existence on the field but can then move to a decadent lifestyle off the field. That is why it is important to sign players with the right respectful attitude.

Thanks for including my proxy to OC and Baylin. I have great faith in them and can only see good things coming from this meeting. I would love to see a picture of OC and Baylin with Mr Bowlen and JMac published on this blog.

Actually it is not as far fetched as some would think. I know Manchester United's Chief Executive has close contact with the head of the supporters club and he answers questions from them on MUTV.

I know players answer questions on this site so maybe Mr Bowlen and JMac could answer questions from you all at the end of each season. That would be great.

ahah...funny enactment BroncoFalls..good one..

Baylin, oh mann, you should have your own blog on this website..a guru amidst us...lol

i would prefer we acquire a NT in FA. Taking NTs early in the draft havent been so affective, they need 2-3 years to break out...Instead we get a proven veteran and get our future NT in the mid rounds. I think we still have a BIG Chris Baker with us. Surely he'll get his reps soon. As for Cody, I have to wait and see how he performs tonight in the BCS. Some say he is not affective against spread offenses..

Peppers to Denver please...lol

Nice one DOOM. Hope the guys upstairs give him a nice fat contract.

I hope that someone else on the D steps it up in getting sacks. Not to take away from Dumervil's sack total, but it would help get people thinking about that other person instead of just where Dumervil is all the time. It would be even better if the whole D started sacking people.

I hope that we see Orton back next year at least. I don't know about you, but Simms isn't worth a starting job and I'd hate to see Brandstater Boo'd at during the season. The jump from College to the Pro's is ridiculous for QB's and just rookies in general. I can see eventually Orton serving as a Backup QB in the future, because we can all probably agree that He's deserving enough to be 2nd string and a safe start if our future franchise starter goes down, whoever that starter may be. I'll have to wait and see how next year plays out though. If he gets in a groove and starts trusting his arm to and all his recievers, we might be surprised. And I don't want to sound like a broken record, but If the Dallas Cowboys can have room to run 3 RB's dominantly (Marion Barber, Felix Jones, and Tashard Choice) why can't we? Payton Hillis, Correll Buckhalter, and Knowshon Moreno could be the 3 we can easily rotate.

That would definitely open up the passing game. Did anyone notice that when both Marion Barber and Felix Jones were hurt Romo wasn't doing all that good? and now that they're fully healthy Romo isn't feeling any pressure and is playing some great ball? Not saying we should be Dallas, but what works works, and we could definitely use what works to open up our passing game. Remember when we got Terrell Davis to do work? Elway had a much easier time and we won 2 SB's from it, almost 3. Our team can be that good again, we just have to go back to how it was before.

Brian, I understand and completely agree with you about the show me something first, but unfortunately there is a league formula for what draft picks are going to get come contract signings based on how soon and what round they are getting drafted in. The biggest variance is when calculating the true value w/ trades, draft picks, etc. It's almost as disappointing learning the details as to how the schedules are made, with the exception of the preseason, games are figured by a chart.

@baylinorcrush: You have my support to continue doing picks next season. I know I dropped off and that is my own fault. I started getting down after the bye week and stop predicting. Sometimes I feel that if I predict and then the team loses it is a real letdown. I'd predict every game next season if you're feeling up to it. If not that's ok too.

I go on the wall of shame for quitting.

OC, you go all out, in your picks and with your colorful commentaries, that's what we dig you for, man, but it did get you the overall wall of shame record for the year, not that I was going to mention it, but since you did... LOL. I have no complaints, once a while they will screen some of my comments, and it does happen that they just won't post it, but I try to keep the line of communication open and I really haven't had any problem with it other than sometimes the mediation process is frustrating as far as keeping discussions fluent. The head of the blog has been really nice to e-mail me a couple times to apologize over issues I have had, I can't ask for more. Cheerleading is obviously encouraged here and I can see why, they are running a business and need to keep things looking glass half full rather than half empty. I welcome the opportunity to voice my opinion here and I don't see why I shouldn't be able to do that as long as I'm up for it. I have noticed a few of the bad apples have gotten the axe, they are simply now absent from this website and I can't say I miss them.

bay...

You get 3x first and I get 3x worst? That makes you the big winner and I get the wall of shame? I should have never let my point spread get over 10, I suppose?

You can keep the Cutler blankie..eh, jersey...lol, but I'll do this. If we are both able to blog here next year? I'll put up a new Dumervil Jersey to the winner...

I had a great time blogging here this season. I like that there are not a lot of haters here to argue with but I think there is a silent requirement to do some cheerleading in these pages to keep from getting on blog probation?

I LOVE ME SOME DENVER BRONCOS!!!!!!!

I think it's going to be an exciting offseason again...

Hey guys/gals,

Just wanted to throw this out there. Did any of you feel the "humbleness" in JMac at his season ending press conferences?

We all have been critical on various aspects of this season. I'm just wondering if JMac finally got a little reality check.

It was the first time, I truely think he realized some things (not all but some) could have been different starting with him.

Also, I read into that press conference almost a "it had to be this way" mentality. Did any of you feel he was suggesting the "tough love" concept had to set the tone? Because he later mentioned that this next season shouldn't be like that because the team now knows what to expect?

Me personally, I have a feeling this is going to be even a more dangerous team next year. With the system entering it's 2nd year. The staff & players KNOW what has to happen.

Hometeam007, I am with you! This off season is going to be CRAZY! I bet the broncos make ANOTHER huge off season splash!

Lastly, Doominator (LOL) it is a privelage to have you wearing the Orange and Blue! Although I know individual achievements are second on your list behind team accomplishments but know this! We fans enjoy watching you on Sunday!!!!! Congratulations on being with such an elite bunch of players! You enjoy it and take a minute, pat yourself on the back for an outstanding year!

GO GET EM' BOYS!

Fantasy:
You know I think instead of rookies and young guys coming in and sayin' "show me the money", the franchises need to say in return, "show me some talent, show me some accountability, show me some dicipline, show me some team unity, and finally show me that you're a man."

Reality:
The players "I'll show you mine, but first show me yours."
The franchise "Ok"

@Broncfalls: LMFAO!!! Oh man now that some funny stuff right there. That's exactly how it would go too. I think our best bet would to probably get Elway and Rod on our side first. LOL!!

I think first of all our return blocking needs to improve. Royal's two TD returns had one thing in common....good blocking. Cibbs may be a better return man but Royal's good too. At the WR spot hopefully Royal will get more invovled. Cribbs will come with a hefty cost. I think we'd be better off investing that money into some D-lineman.
