Near the end of the first quarter, Broncos kicker Matt Prater missed a 49-yard field goal.
Miami took over on its own 39-yard line, and proceeded to drive down the field for a 38-yard Dan Carpenter field goal.
It was a 10-play, 36-yard drive culminated by Carpenter’s kick.
Highlights on the drive include a 14-yard completion to Brian Hartline and a 20-yard pass to Davone Bess.
The drive stalled when Ryan McBean drilled Daniel Thomas on a pass in the backfield for a 5-yard loss on first down. Second down brought an incompletion from Matt Moore, and on third down, Von Miller put a hit on Moore that forced another incompletion and the field goal.
