The NFL Scouting Combine is a busy time for every NFL franchise, as coaching staffs, scouts, trainers and football operations staff members head to Indianapolis for the annual event.
It’s no different for the Broncos, and DenverBroncos.com will be there to cover every aspect of the pre-draft function.
Look for coverage all week long, including interviews with Head Coach John Fox and Executive Vice President of Football Operations John Elway, videos of some of the top prospects that step to the podium, live blogs every day and top stories recapping the news of the day.
Broncos TV’s Chris Hall and DenverBroncos.com Editor Gray Caldwell will also check in with BTV On Site video segments discussing each day’s events.
In addition, a new — yet familiar — voice will be added to DenverBroncos.com starting with this year’s combine.
Andrew Mason will add to the site as a contributing writer. Mason has previously written for the Broncos’ and Panthers’ team sites in addition to various other publications including The Sporting News and The New York Times. This year marks his 10th NFL Scouting Combine.
Look for Mason’s first article tomorrow.
Caldwell, Hall, Mason and DenverBroncos.com’s Stuart Zaas will post multiple items every day, so check back for new content throughout the combine.

The annual cattle call. Indy is stocking its shelves with beef.
Maybe ill throw in a PUM PUM PUM PUM!!! For good measure.
PUM PUM PUM!!!! (Nice Work RH!)
BRING ON THE BEEEEEEEEEEEF!!!
haha Had to.
Good stuff.
It will be nice to ooogle at the numbers these guys put up. I’m more into the on field play but drooling over numbers is still fun.
All the NFL Scouting Combine is is a beauty pageant for over sized men wanting to make a name for themselves heading into the NFL. The only difference is they are weighed, measured, 40 yard dashes, running around cones, lifting weights, and wonderlic tests.
LOL
Yep its poke, prod, grab, ask, weigh, measure, perform, etc and as long as this process has taken place and had time to be perfected, Chris Harris still went undrafted. Take it all with a grain of salt guys!!
I really hope we dont pick manti teo. anyone but teo. not because of the catfish thing but because he is an average linebacker at best. the most you’ll get out of him is a linebacker just good enough to start but not dominate anywhere. of course i could be wrong…
I seriously doubt we draft Teo. If we select a MLB I’ll be happy with Minter.
Tony Carter was also undrafted.
Teo is a classic, old style MLB. That isn’t a bad thing and he is very good but with less teams using FBs and more using two TE sets, he is less of a commodity then years past. Denver seems to want faster cover guys at LB.
Ya RH he is that. Old style. He would get smoked by offenses these days. He gets beat one on one and has poor coverage skills. That’s too pivotal a position to have someone that is limited like he is. He could bog down the d at MLB for a long time and we need to excel there asap. Of course I gotta add ‘in my opinion’ to all that cuz I’ve been wrong about players before!
I bet we trade back like last yr and lose out on an impact player. If the front office took Doug Martin at 30 last yr we wouldn’t have had an issue at back in the playoffs and for yrs to come. I keep thinking that’s why the FO and Xanders parted ways. If somehow we can land Minter I would be happy. No way we take a DT in the 1st. We trade out of the 1st and acquire picks to move up somewhere in the 2nd or 3rd. I just hope we don’t reach.
To think that Xanders and the Broncos parted ways because of us not taking Martin is ignorance. Xanders wanted more say and he wasnt going to get it. Thats why the parting happened.
While last year if we took Martin we wouldnt have had our issues at RB we would have them on the DL instead. Also at the time of the draft last year our issues on the DL were more important than the issues at RB.
Manti Te’o looked like such a good MLB during the season then when he faced one of the most NFL like offenses he got exposed in a very bad way which caused a big drop. All the other issues and what not just continued his drop. A lot of talk of him being the 32 pick to the Ravens. Id prefer Minter or even Brown to Te’o at this point.
At this point of the long process, I think it will be a DT or MLB in the 1st round. But of course there is still a long long time til the draft and a lot can change. I mean FA hasnt even happened yet. If we sign one and not the other to me that says we will be drafting the position we dont address in FA.

I thought this to be a nice article of speculation on cap casualties. McGhee and Moreno listed as surprise cuts. Royal is listed as a potential cut from SD…..As I said just speculation.
Billy Graham was returning to Charlotte after a speaking engagement and when his plane arrived there was a limousine there to transport him to his home. As he prepared to get into the limo, he stopped and spoke to the driver.
‘You know’ he said, ‘I am 87 years old and I have never
Driven a limousine. Would you mind if I drove it for a while?’
The driver said, ‘No problem. Have at it.’
Billy gets into the driver’s seat and they head off down the highway. A short distance away sat a rookie State Trooper operating his first speed trap.
The long black limo went by him doing 70 in a 55 mph zone.
The trooper pulled out and easily caught the limo then got out of his patrol car to begin the procedure. The young trooper walked up to the driver’s door and when the glass was rolled down, he was surprised to see who was driving.
He immediately excused himself and went back to his car and called his supervisor. ‘I know we are supposed to enforce the law…. but I also know that important people are given certain courtesies. I need to know what I should do because I have stopped a very important person.’
The supervisor asked, ‘Is it the governor?’
The young trooper said, ‘No, he’s more important than that.’
The supervisor said, ‘Oh, so it’s the president.’
The young trooper said, ‘No, he’s even more Important than that.’
After a moment, the supervisor finally asked, ‘Well then, who is it?’
The young trooper said, ‘I think it’s Jesus, because he’s got Billy Graham for a chauffeur!’
haha! That’s funny DB!
10 Points!!!
Love it Daddy!
Peyton is actively seeking out Dwight Freeney it sounds like. I like that. He knows what he can add to a defense and if he’s the leadership we need I hope he comes. All I know, more than anything from that loss is that we need a guy who is going to be able to motivate the defense and as much as I love Champ I do not think he is that guy. He’s more of a quiet motivator.
strand – I see walterfootball now has the Broncos selecting Eddie Lacy in the 1st rd. Of course all just speculation but it would nice to have some young strong fresh legs in the backfield.
Good one DB!!
Thats classic DB! LOL LOL LOL!!
Yes Royal, I saw that. HaHa!
We got pounded with snow Bro! I heard you got it worse up in Denver.
Not too bad strand about 4 inches in our area…..
We got about 6″
If you can call 6″ to 8 ” pounded. Well, maybe for this year so far. LOL
Truly hoping for Lacy in the first round this year, might not happen with needs on the defense but a big sized youthful runner is highly needed on our offense. I dont like hearing that we might get a slot receiver in FA, if it is not Welker than I love and would stick with Stokley
