On a sunny, 65-degree day at Dove Valley, Head Coach John Fox was asked about the possibility of a Super Bowl coming to Sports Authority Field at Mile High.
“Just look at the weather,” Fox said. “We’re almost December here and I think it’s probably one of the best-kept secrets there are. We’ve got, if not the nicest, one of the nicest stadiums in the league. Denver’s a great town. It’s got great fans. There would be great enthusiasm, I know, if we were fortunate to get it. I think the NFL would be very happy with it.”
In August, Broncos President Joe Ellis officially submitted an application to the NFL’s Super Bowl Advisory Committee to bid on the 2018, ’19 and ’20 Super Bowls.
Next year, the NFL will name the cities eligible to submit an official bid to host the games.
“(Owner) Pat Bowlen has always maintained an interest in bringing the Super Bowl to this community and the great football fans of the Rocky Mountain Region,” Executive Director of Media Relations Patrick Smyth said in a statement. “He believes the city of Denver along with the Broncos would be excellent hosts.”
Denver’s hopes for a Super Bowl could hinge on the success of the 2014 event, which will be held at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., an outdoor stadium in a cold-weather city.
As far as cornerback Champ Bailey is concerned, regardless, Denver should be next in line.
“I think so,” he said. “if you’re going to play it in New York, Denver’s (weather is) probably better than New York in February. Yeah. Why not?”

TAT BE GOOD AND HAVING THE BRONCOS IN IT WOULD BE GREAT
Bring a SB to the MILE HIGH CITY!!
That would be the best if we hosted and played in it and can’t wait till Sunday we play my home team but i never liked the bucs always been a denver fan so this win would mean alot to me and crush these crazy bucs fans ego lol
ON NFL LIVE THEY SAID ITS GONNA BE A SHOOT OUT VJACK IS GOING TO PICK APART CAMP BAILEY BUT I KNOW OUR 4TH RANKED DEFESNE AINT LETTING THAT HAPPEN AND THE CHAMP HIMSELF WILL SHUT HIM DOWN
i like how these last few games are set up for the Broncos. they have Tampa at home and then they play the Raiders on Thursday. then they get a mini bye to get ready for a road game against the Ravens that will decide our playoff seeding. then we finish up at home against the Browns and Cheifs
*Chiefs
If we win that Ravens game, it would give our team a boost of confidence heading into the Playoffs. A tough road win against a tough team
Wow – when you throw 5 INT’s you should expect to lose by 30+ pts. NO is still a contender ~(though they laid an egg tonight)~ as they only lost by 10 pts – amazing – but somebody studied Brees fairly well this week!!!
No TD’s for Brees~
I’m gonna start saving some cash – allocated as Super Bowl Fund –
If the SB ever actually comes to Denver – I’m making the trip with at least one of my kids – and I’m paying for good seats!!!
Once in a lifetime event!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRAY!!!
Dressen and Tamme should be able to take advantage of Barber wheather they are Blocking or catching passes…
I also think Knowshon will show how He has matured, I was the first to say He wasn’t read for the NFL when He was drafted but I think He is ready now! Take it Down Knowshon!
The D really needs to make a statement this week and shut down Doug Martin and Gresham.
TIME OF POSSESSION ! ! !
GO BRONCOS ! ! !
Is that what they call man crush? LOL.
Before I look forward to a remotely possible SB in Denver, I’m looking at a more probable AFC Championship in Houston since I’m only a 3 hour drive away, hehe.
I couldn’t of said it any better Nasty. Lets take care of business in our own backyard. This is a decent team we’re playing.
Happy bidding Mr. Ellis!! Let’s bring the “Big Dance” to the Mile High City!!
We’d be the first to play a home super bowl game
packf1broncos… after your stupid comment about “deckers brother” you ought to be kicked off this site
