Jim Johnson, the former defensive coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles, passed away on Tuesday. He was the coordinator from 1999-2008, a 10-year period in which Brian Dawkins played for the club.
The Broncos safety released a statement on the passing of Johnson on Tuesday.
“This is a sad, sad day for myself and my Philadelphia family. Jim was tailor-made to coach in Philadelphia. He was a tough coach who wasn’t afraid to let you know how he was feeling, but at the same time, he cared about us deeply. He was an absolute blessing to me with the way he used me on the football field and allowed me to show my God-given ability. His confidence in me meant so much—he looked to create new defenses each week to utilize my talents. I have been praying for him every day, and those prayers won’t stop now. I’ll be praying for his family and their comfort during this difficult time.”

Jim Johnson was a great Defensive Coordinatoor… may he rest in peace.
My condolences to his family, the Eagles organization and those who’s life’s he touched……
Jim Johnson was one of the best Defensive Coordinatoor ever. He help B-Dawk get to where he is today as one of the Best FS in the game and my he R.I.P.
If Jim Johnson was as good as everyone says he is, there is no doubt that he’s going to heaven and will be happy. Perhaps he’ll be concocting defenses for many years to come with his celestial playbook. In any case, it’s good to have Dawk here in Bronco Country. If Dawk reads this, I just want him to be assured that Coach Johnson is happy because he has no regrets. In any case, let’s shock the world. GO BRONCOS!!!
God bless the Dawkins family and more importantly the Johnson family. He was a great talent as a D coordinator!
God bless the Johnson Family!!!

This link is funny as hell, Urlacher calls Cutler a funny name.

I love it, though its the rumor mill and was heard from a 3rd party source so you dont know how believable it is. If it is, expect the Bears to self destruct.
Sorry to hear about that, It always hurts to lose someone you are really close too. I wonder if the Eagles are gonna fall out of superbowl predictions cuz of that.
PS: dont think this is the right blog for our usual convos if u take the subject matter into consideration.
The cutler thing is funny but we dont know the truth to that. I wonder why he said it if he did. dont know cutler personally so its possible.
As a survivor of skin cancer I can tell you it is weird when I hear of someone tragically dying from the disease. I was never ill, had the melanoma on my shoulder cut out, and apart from 5 years of check-ups that was it. Not one moment of illness. Hearing of Coach Johnson I realise how lucky I have been.
Obviously Coach Johnson has earned a reputation as a phenomenal coach and leaves behind him a legacy within football that is hard to beat.
God Bless him and his family and friends. May they find solace in knowing that he is now in the arms of our Lord.
