Denver’s average low temperature in the month of January is 16 degrees according to the Weather Channel.
With the road to the Super Bowl in the AFC having to go through Denver, the Broncos are prepared to play through below freezing temperatures and possibly snow.
“We’ve been practicing in the cold for several weeks now,” tight end Jacob Tamme said. “We’ll probably have some cold games. Who knows? It could snow. You never know what’s going to come so we’ll just get ready to try to win no matter what happens.”
Depending on a player’s background or position, there are different feelings for the bitter cold temperatures that will inevitably inhabit Sports Authority Field at Mile High during the playoffs.
Some embrace it, like defensive tackle Kevin Vickerson, who said he won’t wear sleeves regardless of the weather.
Some have adjusted to the climate, like running back Ronnie Hillman, who hails from California.
Either way, the attitude is the same for every player. They won’t allow it to affect their game.
“I’ve been cold for the last two months,” Hillman said. “It’s really not going to matter. I’m just going to go out there and try to prepare as much as possible.”
The players don’t expect weather to be a problem, no matter how cold it gets. In the playoffs, adrenaline provides all the warmth needed.
“During the game, the excitement, you don’t really feel it,” safety David Bruton said. “Just being in the mode of the game.”

Hillman about being bench. Also has the report about Clady.
Can’t wait to know who our opponent will be. I’m thinking it will be the Bengals.
Congrats to Manning winning AFC Player of the month…
More to come?
GO BRONCOS!!!
ds tThis was the first year Manning won two Player of the Month awards in the same year.
I think that the divisional round will both be rematches in the AFC. Colts and Patriots and the Bengals and the Broncos.

P. Manning joins K. Warner (’01) as only players ever w/10 TDs, 1300 yds, 70% comp and 5 wins in December. #Broncos

Peyton Manning’s ridiculous December: 5 wins, highest comp % in NFL (by 7 pts), highest rating (by 18 pts), 6th POM award (ties record.)
From the sound of things Andy Reid will be with the Chiefs. According to multiple reports the Chiefs and he are closing in on a deal but he still wants to interview with the other teams he has interviews set up with.
Did anyone see Florida run the pitch option end around last night. It was a really cool play. I hadn’t seen anyone use that wrinkle before. Like any end around play, you have to have someone who is incredibly fast getting the pitch. If I was Shanny, I would find a way to run this play. Not sure who they have with incredible speed but it is an awesome play for a read option or option offense.
Do they vaccum up the snow or something? The grass looks so green and there isn’t any signs of snow on it..other than the piles of it.
slow blog day.
