This season (and the next. and the next) is definitely going to take patience. We must allow Tebow to the play the rest of the season to see what his true potential is.
To play either Kyle Orton or Brady Quinn would be completely counterproductive at this point given that they both already peaked years ago. Yes, they are better QBs than Tebow is at the current time. True, they may have made us play a less disgustingly pathetic game against the Lions. However, overall they are at best just mediocre QBs (they suck!). Stick with Tebow the rest of the season and reevaluate if we should pursue QB options in the draft.

Finally, do not change the current coaching regime for at least five years Mr. B!! Nostalgically, I sometimes think "What if Shanahan was still our coach". Jesus, if only! We had all the pieces on offense (except maybe a great running back) and if over these past years Shanny could of got a chance to address the defense we would be serious contenders this season. Instead, we've wasted time hiring Josh McHitler, and then starting from the crap pile mess that he left behind.

The current regime will need time to build a successful football team. Its gonna take a couple drafts!

Ok so I better be nice because obviously they didn't like my comments that the media sucks, receivers need to do a better job and catch the balls, even go after the ball( its like the receivers need to be spoon fed the ball in their mouths) what ever happened to receivers coming back for the ball or getting more open and sitting on their duffs because they are being guarded by someone 6 inches to a foot shorter then them. Other thing, is get rid of "FOX" or get rid of his system. What has to happen here is that Tebow needs a chance to loosen up. Offense needs to do a better job of giving him more time to hit a receiver, and the Defense needs to stop letting other teams score so much. Like Dawkins Said... 3 n out! Get better Cornerbacks, except for Bailey. The fact of the matter is as fans we watch the games and we see lazyness all over the place. We see bad play calling from the OC and Fox... Let Tebow do what he does and call his own plays. I hope this comment doesnt get deleted like my last one because I said we need to get Bill Cowher as our coach, or better yet, go after Urban Meyer. If we want to get back to superbowl it will not be with John Fox. Statistics show that the superbowl winning coaches are not the ones that get fired from other teams, its the ones those that are the cream of the crop.. John Fox just isn't in the crop!!!!

Pretty sure the WR of the denver broncos who now are doubting Tebow's abilities as a QB would know if he will make it. They see him in practice every day. Any one who has seen him in practice know's he is in over his head. They only problem is fans like your self who think he's the greatest thing since sliced bread don't know either. Where the rest of the sporting world knows he just doesn't have what it takes at QB. He would be a good TE. He's had 15 years to learn control.

Luck727 - Tebow is fine.

Keeping your eyes on your QB is learned in pop warner as well and neither DT or Royal are looking at their QB before the pocket has collapsed on Tebow. Are you guys able to rewatch the game and stop-start it? I've tried to post my sources and the posts get deleted.

Not saying TT doesn't have issues - but they are fixable.

I'd be willing to bet my last meager dollar on Tebow - but ...can't count on the patience of the fans (you folks? - goes to the discussion about whether or not today's QB can be given time to develop like Elway and Young and Bradshaw were. This QB climate causes the merry-go-round. Likely, many greats never get a chance - don't know.) Also can't count on the patience of coaches and front offices. I'm willing to try to rally the fans for as long as possible to give Tebow maximum amount of time to mature. EFX knows they can't pull Tebow until the fans are satisfied that they have given him his chance. LOL

Daddybronc Tebow is not fine. learning to lead a reciever is something you learn in pop warner football. If he hasnt mastered it by now he never will. That is just fact.

The team was better with Orton but that amounts to little. The difference between Elway and tebow is Elway was the #1 pick and everyone knew he would be good. Tebow went 25th and should have been a 4th round pick at best

Ah... Bay / Weimin didn't expect you to like my take on Tebow's performance...

Do we need Tebow to be able to pass from the pocket? ...yes.
Did we see a pocket last for more than 2 or 3 seconds for Tebow to throw from?...rarely.
When we had a pocket did Tebow make good throws or bad? ...with time- every throw was good. Several were still dropped. That's timing-not talent. (I couldn't believe someone wrote that Tebow threw it too hard - that's fiction my friends - if the defense can watch the QB's eyes, his own team better learn how to as well.)

Will Tebow be able to fix the timing issues?----(would you forget the footwork and windup issues - he has already proven he can plant his feet and make good throws. He has also proven that under pressure he is capable of getting the football to playmakers, better than most, and out of trouble, better than most.)

One issue alone stands in Tebow's way: that is the amount of time between when center gets him the ball and that ball is on its way to the playmaker. (I'll grant that there are several skills needed to cause this time to lessen. Tebow's ability to see the open player is what is primarily on him - but when the pocket is collapsing in 2 seconds flat - rec. have got to be ready, watching for the pass, fighting to get a step on def.)

Tebow is gonna be fine.
