The Broncos’ first mini-camp of the Josh McDaniels era wrapped up on Sunday, and it did nothing if not get the players and coaches even more excited for this year’s campaign.
“It was great,” McDaniels said. “You could see the energy that’s out here — the players are practicing hard, the coaches are coaching hard and everybody has the same goal in mind, which is to get better every day. We’re going to pay the price right now to try to win in September.”
Sunday’s practice was open to the media, so here are some quick hits from the session:
Coach McDaniels has certainly taken a hands-on approach for the first three practices. Not only has he rotated from position group to position group, he’s also gotten involved in some of the drills. He lined up as a defensive back to make sure the receivers were running crisp routes, and even tried to slap the ball away from running backs to stress ball control as they finished up a drill.
“He’s had some good offenses over the last few years in New England, and you don’t get that way by just sitting back in your chair and watching TV,” Chris Simms said. “I think he’s a pretty hands-on guy.”
Speaking of coaches being up-close-and-personal, Jabar Gaffney and Offensive Line Coach Rick Dennison got to know each other a little better Sunday morning. During 7-on-7 drills, Kyle Orton dropped back and launched a pass to Gaffney, who was streaking past his defender down the sideline. Players began to shout as Gaffney neared the offensive line position group, and the receiver made quite a catch over his shoulder before running right into the back of Dennison. The coach hopped right back up with a smile, and the offensive line applauded as Gaffney jogged back to the huddle, got a fist pound from Chad Jackson and a laugh and high five from Orton.
“I said ‘Great catch’ to Jabar and I’ll try not to do that again,” Orton said with a smile. “But it was a great play.”
Orton and Simms split the repetitions evenly throughout Sunday’s practice, and afterward the two were asked separately how to describe the process of learning McDaniels’ offensive system.
“Whatever you put into it is what you get out,” Orton said. “There are plenty of teams implementing new systems and plenty of quarterbacks that have to learn new systems, so it’s nothing overly challenging. Just come in and put the work in — it’s not rocket science.”
Simms agreed that it might not be rocket science, but he had another metaphor ready.
“It’s a new language,” he said. “Any time you’re learning a new language things are going to be hard, just trying to get everybody on the same page. There are some new routes for receivers that they haven’t run before, and there are routes that I haven’t thrown before, so it’s a matter of us all getting on the same page.”
The snow hasn’t melted from the team’s practice field, so once again they took to the “bubble,” an indoor field surrounded by a dome that looks like it’s made out of a Moon Bounce. But being forced indoors didn’t stop Matt Prater from practicing field goals. Lonie Paxton snapped the ball to Brett Kern, who held for Prater, and the kicker simply booted the ball against the side of the dome.
The quarterbacks were involved in an interesting drill during practice — fielding ground balls and tossing the baseball back toward the wall of the dome.
“Just trying to get quick feet, quick hands and get the ball out,” Orton explained.
Plenty of fans seem to be interested in how the linebacker corps is taking shape this offseason. Here’s one update — Wesley Woodyard said he’s been taking some repetitions at inside linebacker when the team runs a 3-4. He said it’s not much different from the role he played last season — “just flying around, making plays,” he said. It seems to be working out so far — during 7-on-7 drills he read a route the whole way, jumped it and returned an interception to the endzone, which resulted in plenty of shouting from the defensive sideline.
A few new faces took some snaps with the linebackers during 7-on-7 drills as well, including Elvis Dumervil and Tim Crowder.
“It was kind of shocking at first, but to see (Dumervil) drop out of there, him and Tim Crowder, to be able to drop back, they look like linebackers out there like they’ve been doing it for years,” Woodyard said. “So it’s been a pretty good fit for those guys.”
Now that this mini-camp is over, the team can look foward to the NFL Draft, which starts this Saturday.
“I think it’s always exciting when you get an opportunity to add good football players to your team, whether it be through free agency or the draft,” McDaniels said. “The draft offers a lot of good young players and we’re looking forward to the ones that are going to end up as Broncos here after seven or eight days.”

BroncosTV also put together a feature on the final day of camp.
The team’s next mini-camp takes place the weekend after the draft — May 1 – 3.

Well, evidently ESPN is reporting the Lions got a new logo. I give them credit, it looks cool! I guess Detroit can be excited about something now… lol
All these mock drafts seem ok, but the sad part is that it’s highly probable that in 1st round we’d be able to pick what we want only at 12th pick. Jackson, Maualuga, Raji and even Sanchez will surely be already gone at 18th. So, if it’s Maualuga for 12th, say goodbye to the others and better have a plan B.
Now, if dreams could become reality…
I have better expectations for 2nd. But who knows what McD and Xanders are thinking. It would be nice if they draft who we want, but it’d be still nicer if whoever they draft become stars (as with Ryan Clady and Eddie Royal last year).
And about drafting a QB, it seems that with this system any QB can be developed quite well. So if there would be a QB pick this year, it’d be a sleeper middle-rounder (as with Brady or Cassel), so you could get a reliable player with potential, for less money, less expectations and less pressure to “show-his-value” than the top 5 rated in this draft.
Go Broncooos!
I dont know about “ANY” QB being able to play in this system. The system is PART of the success equation BUT talent at QB is also part of it. It’s not all in the system. When you combine a great QB and a great SYSTEM you get the 16-0 Pats. Brady is better than Cassel and will do better in the same system. Unfortunately Cutler would have done great IMO in this system too (even McD said that).
Tom Brady is a GREAT QB and Matt Cassel could have easily won the starting job over Brady Quinn so it’s not as though Cassel was a bum he has QB gifted talent.
We still need at last a “very good” QB running the show and I’m not sure we have that yet. ..we’ll see. If McD is not so sure either don’t be surprised if you see something crazy on draft day!!
Brady and Cassel are NOW very good QBs. But they had to develop, and the system helped them to do that. Do we have the showman now? No. Sad, yeah, but that’s the truth. How many years took Brady to become a 16-0 QB? Well, probably we’re those years away to have one. In this era, the system is 1st, then the player to fit the system. So, it’s more probable to see a “boring” but efficient QB running this offense, than an awesome easy-to-give-away-the-ball showman.
But I do agree with you NY_BroncoMan that we could see something crazy on draft day (as we have this off season). I’d like that! I’d really like something to be surprised (positively) about when the season begins.
Go Broncooos!
If I’m not mistaking didn’t an ordinary Joe(as you say it) win superbowls. Lets see there was Brady(its true fans with the system make him great He couldn’t beat out Griese in college)Dillfer, Brad Johnson, Mark Rippen, and I could go on and on. All of the bitter I can’t believe we traded our guy fan fell in love with all the SportCenter highlights. I remember a time when you played a Mike Shannahan team. WE have players on the D-line to stop the run like Neil,Trevor,Traylor, Williams, and so on. The reason Ray Rhodes and Jim Bates left is that Mike drafted playes that would stop his offense not mesh with the scheme the D had at the time. For years Peyton was killing us so we let that big run stopping DEs and DTs go. Which made us start drafting small speed rushers. The thinking was our DB are getting beat because were not getting any pressure on him. Now look at the games when we play a team that has a since or play calling of a westcoast offense we shut them down. Now look at the team that run that old Jimmy Johnson type Dallas offense or Parcel’s Giant type of O we get hammered. Why is that? (I’ll see what comes down the pike before I post my answer. I’ll give some really tactical football head to drop there thoughts.)
Hey maybe we can trade Champ Bailey for a 3rd string CB somewhere. Seems to be the game plan to reach our 2-14 record this season.
Greatness007 – I agree with you. Defenses change to stop offensive schemes. Therefore, the offensive schemes are going to change to beat the defense. If you don’t keep changing, your gonna get stomped. Shanny didn’t change as quickly as he needed to. That cost the franchise a lot of money, time and heart ache. I think Shanny is a hall of fame coach, however, he was the GM and head coach. Blame ultimately fell into his lap. That is why he is no longer here.
It happens non stop. That is why the Pats have been so good over the last decade though, they change every game. That is the philosophy that McD is trying to implement. That is why McD wants to implement the 3-4, instead of running a 4-3 non stop. This will help our DB’s, and will help our front 7.
A 3 -4 is the way you want to go, if you have the talent to pull it off. But it requires a big nose and two fast huge DE’s. That of which we really do not have as of now. I think Doom could be a every play DE, however, we still need another one and a nose tackle.
I would like to see someone baited on draft day along with the #18 spot to get a higher pick for Raji. Jackson should fall to 12. We would be looking pretty good on D if that were to happen!
lol TFuse, don’t know if your being sarcastic about the Champ Baliey trade.
But it is possible that “someone” else might be traded come the draft..
hey, I noticed that some DB names have been fading in the draft like Victor Harris and Nic Harris, they could be steals in the draft I hope, like a Keenan Lewis…
You know… my wife and I (well, not really my wife) named our daughters middle name after Champ Bailey. We named her Bailey and I call her “Champ” as a nickname. Thats how much I love this guy!
However, Champ is getting old (for a CB in the NFL). We will soon need to be thinking of a replacement. He is starting to get more injuries (a sign of his body catching up to him).
I think in addition to a DE and Nose, we will need to look at CB’s and safeties… Dawkins, even though he is a GREAT safety, is towards the end of his career (probably another 3 seasons in him). We will need to start priming some young guns to fill the holes in the near future.
Keep in mind… these guys wont be around forever – their careers will eventually come to an end. Even though every team thinks short term (current season), they also must develop for the road ahead as well!
TFuse trade Champ Bailey for a 3rd string CB lol, this will make us 2-14 lol. Yeah your a Jay Cutler fan boy.
broncs55 I agree we need a CB/S hybred but we also need a C along with the DE. I’m really looking forward to the season starting I know we’ll go to the playoffs and hopefully to the SB.
I fell you on the DB and S position but Barret has to learn from Dawkins. The death of Darrent hurt us more than people realize. Champ was never the problem but I’ve seen only 2 true games when he got killed back in the day when Carson and Chad tourched us. Had Champ Questioning his greatness.(no pun intended with the name phrase lol) Also this year at chargers when it was clear he should not be out there but what could he do we had none else! Dre’ used to get tourched FREQUENTLY! In the Draft when we got Darrent we Drafted 2 more DBs who are not with us and Foxworth is the only one we got something for. Darrent was better that DRe’ and 9 years younger that hurt us dramaticly! If Champ stay healthy he got give (im not even gonna try and spell his name so the guy from the Raiders) lol Mike trid to switch but it was to late if you remember in the 2nd game of the season they had at times Doom at OLB in the 3-4 but thats how the Chargers came back( the Sproils screen play for example) He thought he had the time to do this we know now he didn’t. They don’t need any LBs They need 2 DEs and 1 big Ron Brace type (hint) of NT. The Broncos brass knows this so thats why they working out Sanchez because its only one DE worth the 1st rd pick.(Jackson)Fellas its sad to say but I think the Lions are not going to take Stafford so Sanchez is gonna drop. Jags are gonna keep there pick if Crabtree falls as well. (which I think he will)Stafford will go to San Fran And we’ll take SAnchez thats why MCd didn’t really go for real. HE gonna put that pick all on X and McCoy. So all ya get your hate ready cuz its gonna happen! Best player there type of pick! With the top 3 picks its all about economy their gonna be safe that sorry! We need to Beef up the D-Line. Jackson Well be there at 18. You need to look at need rather than the bright lights of name and college they went to. They put ownus on a QB comming out of the first mini camp. So after they finish pleasing all the Cutler fans they will do the D-line then back up DBs and Special team players. We need a Return guy to help out Eddie remember he’s a starting WR to and I think toward the end of the year he ran out of gas some. Thats why you see all those big plays but he get caught from behind later on in the season? Who was the return guy before? GOD REST HIS SOUL DARRENT WILLIAMS!
broncos55 i agree with you we need to get younger in the secondary.
I know every bronco fan want us to get Ron Brace in the second round but i would prefer Alphonso Smith. Also remember we still have Carlton Powell.
With our two 1st round picks we could get Tyson Jackson at 12 and Evander “Ziggy” Hood at 18. This should DRASTICALLY help our D-Line.”
As for the Safety position I have confident that Josh Barret will learn a lot from Dawkins and develop into a great Safety. I would still want us to draft a safety maybe with one of our 3rd round picks. Chip Vaughn sounds like a good pick to.
Cant Wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111
QB in the late rounds somewhere. I am on board for best Defensive players available with our first round picks.
831: I am looking forward to seeing what Powell can do.
831…i agree we need to take a cb but what about addressing the LB spot. There are a few good cbs out there that will make it in the later rounds cause of undeveloped skill sets not saying we should take them from there but to lose out on solid lb and dline help might not be a good idea. i do like woodyard and larson but are they the emotional verbal leaders we have been missing for so long?
I still say we make a move on a QB. We have a lot of picks. Take one of the 1st rounds and maybe a fifth and trade up to grab Sanchez. We have plenty of salary rm at QB to bring another in t compete. He has good potential. Did Denver call him for an interview today??
…Get another QB in the mix and use everything else on DEFENSE like we were supposed to before we had the Cutler fiasco.
We can trade up and pull Sanchez and Mellaluga in the 1st rnd and still have lots of picks left in 3rd rnd, 5th rd etc plus the #1 from chicago next yr.
Don’t forget we pulled Simms in as a “Back up” and all of you would have FLIPPED out had we made a trade for Ortin as our QB. I’m not saying it’s not possible that one could turn out to be a real good QB but i sure as heck ain’t bettin on it!!! Niether of these guys did great things yet for the teams they played on.
Simms was passed around like a hot patato (Gruden gave him a chance as did others) and Ortin..well the bears aren’t given everything away because they believe in Kyle boy so much. Forgive me for being realistic about this but last time i checked the QB position was the most important in the sport!!
We need another QB in the mix.
Who is feeling me on this??
123
First off, the Lions just should have scratched the old and did a complete redesign. New colors, logo the works. What a waste.
Speaking of colors, HOW MANY BRONOCOS FANS WOULD LIKE TO SEE DARK PANTS ON THE ROAD INSTEAD OF WHITE ON WHITE???? I would love to hear some of your thoughts on this Bronco Nation.
Second, this is just me, but after seeing McD’s press conference, reading between the lines, reading his body language and voice inflections, I don’t think he was impressed at all with Orton and Simms. Maybe that’s why he has a migraine??? The guy is under enormous pressure. Migraines are caused by stress. If he liked his QB’s then I think he would be feeling great.
I predict they will trade up with KC and draft Sanchez, or they might do a deal with Cleveland for Quinn still. Then they will use #18 and get a DE. We will all know a whole lot more about what is happening come Saturday.
http://www.milehighreport.com/2009/4/21/847814/is-brady-quinn-still-on-broncos
ok listen this is whats going to happen on saturday…we going to draft tyson jackson at 12 and james laurinaitis at 18 and ron brace in the second round. and if we could get patrick chung in the 3. lets go
NY_BroncoMan, I agree. We need another qb in the mix, but I don’t think we need to waste any pick on moving up to get sanchez. There are plenty of other qbs we can gab in later rounds. We need to focus on top notch young defensive talent. Besides, I just don’t think he will be worth it in the long run. USC plays a cupcake schedule in a weak conference (pac-10), and sanchez has never been truly tested.
you guys most believe in kyle orton..the guy is a proven winner…and anybody in are O is going to do great with the talent around them. kyle orton could have thrown just as much as jay if he didnt have a crapy O and got injured. look back on his purdue days. some what of the same O we will be running this year
My TV is praying we make a crazy move on Sat and add a QB to the mix. ..if not TV knows he’ll most likely have a short life span. Maybe week 3 or 4 if he’s lucky
..I like Sanchez or a trade with Cleveland..
It’d be worth it to grab a QB THIS YR and not next yr because they usually take longer to learn. DL’s, LB’s, CB’s Safties can many times jump in very quickly and be productive. We saw woodyard do it last yr.
If we want to make a SuperBowl run with in the next 3 yrs (like McD sold Dawkins on) we need a QB ASAP. I’m sure Champ would appreciate that also…considering we HAD a darn good one. Grab Sanchez and maybe in 2010 or 11 Bowlen can say..”This ones for Champ”. Mc D’s gonna have a LOT more migranes if he doesn’t win the division after the whole Cutler thing.
I feel you Rebel. ..but i like what i see in sanchez. I wouldn’t be disappointed at all if we did.
Mat Forte won the games for the bears last yr man.. he was like 60% of the offense. The bears defense got them to the superbowl BUT the good QB in Payten Manning and the horrible QB in Grossman (name deserving) ruined that for them that’s why they jumped on Cutler.
I am NOT sold on Ortin just because he had a decent record. BUT i sincerely hope i’m wrong…i’ve just been let down too many times…yeah i bought a Greise jersey, you can laugh!! Then i was stickeing up for plummer until the Steelers championship game and then i thought we found our man finally and now that’s flushed down the toilet!
orton was loved in chicago by fans and players and lovie smith.
ok i’ll give you that. plus chicago doesn’t have the receivers we do. So i’ll give him the potential. You’re giving me some more hope..thanks we’ll see what happens
Mark my words!
I was reading on ESPN Insider that the rumor mill is buzzing about the broncos trading there 12th pick of the draft to the KC Chiefs for either Tony Gonzalez or Larry Johnson! Not sure either one we really want we have a good tight end in Scheffler and we have PLENTY of Running Backs. The other article I read is that the Broncos are also in talks with the Carolina Panthers in trading the 12th pick of this years draft and two picks in next years draft for Julius Peppers!! I say take it Peppers is great and next years picks are next year and we can still build on this year with our other picks.
bntbroncos i dont think we need to adress the LB position in the early rounds because we have rookies that showed last year they have a lot of potential. Im talking about Woodyard and Larsen. Also we signed a veteren LB in Andra Davis so i have a feeling McD will not take a LB. I want the coaches to give larsen a shot at MLB instead of FB. He did great in college in that position. and woodyrad finished with more than half 100 tackles and he didint start every game but when given the chance he helped our D.
this is juct my oppinion
Most of the draft experts see us taking two DE with both picks, but hell now I’m not even sure if the Lions will draft Stafford. If they chose (Curry? not sure if its him or someone else) do you guys think that will affect 2-5 picks? 2-10 picks? Would Raji prehaps be there at the 12th pick? I only pay attention to the Broncos and the AFC west so not familiar with what the other teams need. But if some miracle Raji was there at 12…I would…I would….sing from the rooftops…not really. I just dont want Sanchez, dont get me wrong I think he’s a good QB, but we have Orton and Simms just take a QB in the later draft picks or take one from the FA after the drafts done. We need defense.
A friend of mine abd a Broncos fan sent me this in a email im just passing it along to all the other fans!(thinkin he did send me vids of it but I’m not tryna get in trouble for showing it) lol
I was at his workout today and when we got there he was in the coaches office with Xanders and McCoy watching tape. Mark came out around noon and warmed up it was about 85-90 degrees with a slight breeze. The Broncos had him primarily work on intermediate passing routes of about 25 yards between the 45 and 30 yard lines, throwing balls to various receivers one of which was Patrick Turner his #1 receiver at USC. Former NFL QB Rob Johnson and his father split the workout duties with the Broncos and McCoy. Sanchez worked some roll out drills as well as short out patterns. At one point they took a quick break, Sanchez passed out water to all the receivers showing his appreciation for them coming out and helping him out. Then for about 20-30 minutes they moved him back to around the 30-35 yard lines and had him throw some deep routes down the left sidelines (60-65 yards) which he made look effortless. The zip on his short passes were incredible, his footwork looked great and his movement was fluid as well. Anyone who says this guy doesn’t have “arm strength” is crazy! He’s in great shape and worked out with his shirt off most of the afternoon. The Broncos looked impressed with his overall skills. Around 1:15 pm they all gathered at the 50, shook hands and spoke for about 5 minutes. I spoke with Mark’s father after the workout and he said the Mark is really enjoying himself and is looking forward to this weekend. Additionally rumor has it that the Broncos brass were taking Sanchez to dinner and the Lakers’ playoff game tonight versus Utah. As a side note, Brian Cushing also was in attendance and began warming up as we were leaving. I am assuming that he came down to also hold an impromptu workout for the Broncos. He is a physical specimen to say the least and I for one left the field thinking that this could be the future of our franchise! I think we would be in good hands with Sanchez running the offense and Cushing running the defense for the next several years!
YES …i love the Sanchez stuff. I would love to see the lions pass on a QB as that would probably move sanchez later in the draft making it easier for Denver to grab him. I cant wait till this weekend to see how smart (or dumb) our new coach and GM are. This will be interesting. Please give us another QB in the mix!!! …and then build the darn defense
thanks for that post Greatness
great post greatness. i like sanchez the most out of all the qbs in this years draft, but i still think we shore up the d and special teams this year. remember ortin did very well with the bears and he had no weapons or a line. here he has both makes you wonder what he is really capable of doing with that. if there was one offensive guy id like to see us take in the first round would be maclin…he could provide the spark on special teams weve been missing for so long. also it would be a good replacement short term while marshal is out for suspension then also for when stolkey retires or someone gets a huge head and wants more then we are willing to give them. maybe the cb davis out of il he might workout as a returner as well then were still grabbing a dback that we need and addressing the special teams as well. dont know just a thought.
Personally, I think Sanchez is just a smoke screen.
Next year is supposed to be the “year of the quarterbacks”. I think we will focus on drafting one next year. Orton is a good QB – I watched him all the time as I live in Chicago.
He’s extremely smart, and knows how to manage the clock. His personality wont win any hearts, but who needs personality to play football anyways?!?
Bailey would be hard to move due to his age, if we want to get a quality pick or player(s) for him, and his recurring injuries don’t help either. Unless we go after a corner in the first round, like Jenkins or Smith, I don’t like Davis much, just hype if you ask me. If Jack Williams, Josh Barrett, Josh Bell, and the rest of our young DBs step it up, DB would not be a major need.
“I cant wait till this weekend to see how smart (or dumb) our new coach and GM are”…ha..everyones an expert…everyone needs to chill the freak out and see what happens…
The way i see it, this year needs to be defense, defense in the 1st round.. draft guys up the middle, hopefully Raji if he’s there at 12 and either Maualuga or Laurinitis (sp) at 18.. then next year use our 2 picks to trade up into the top 5 and grab Bradford Tebow or McCoy and let them sit a year behind Simms or Orton.. If any of those 3 were entering the draft this year they would be ranked as the #1 QB.. be patient
denverbro89 I disagree with your thoughts on Vontae Davis. He is a real hard hitting corner and I honestly don’t know too much about him but I have seen him play a couple times before and he is not afraid to light those receivers up. He is a tough hard hitting corner and I think that it would be a great idea if we picked him up.
Personally, I would not pick Vontae Davis. Granted, he does have the athleticism to become a great CB, however he has a lot of “off the field” problems. What good is a suspended player???
That is why he is not as high ranked in the draft as what he is now. Legal issues will really hurt a players success.
…yawn…
broncs55…i understand the off the field issues, but if that is honestly the case then youre saying marshal isnt worth it two out of 4 years in the league and were looming over a suspension at start again. as long as were taking him late 1st then it might be a good move. truth be told the system will make the player look at what royal did to hall last year. go broncos let saturday get here already.
To dnvabroncomaniac: I understand what your saying, but I just don’t see Davis being considered a hard hitter in the NFL after a couple years, I may be little bias being a Buckeye fan, but Malcolm Jenkins shows all around talent ,can play FS, excellent coverage skills, can hit as well. I think he is prototype Champ Bailey, imagine that.
I hope we don’t get Sanchez… it would not make any sense we trade away cutler for the picks and orton and we signed simm now we got those picks for cutler and use them on Sanchez its like trading cutler for sanchez how dumb is that… get defense… look where the chicago bear went with rex.. and the defense
RIP Thunder…….we all loved seeing you run on the field. Hope you are enjoying horsey heaven
To denverbro89: I haven’t seen Jenkins play so I really don’t know what hes all about and I hate the buckeyes. But if he is as good as you say he is I hope that we draft him because we definitely do need another corner. Champ can’t do it all by his self!
To DDENVER
I wanted us to draft Sanchez but after what you just said, makes alot of sense. If we drafted Sanchez than it would almost indefinitely be the equilivance of trading Cutler for Sanchez! So now Im thinking forget abour Sanchez because Orton isn’t that bad really and we should give him a chance (09 season). The bears will be going to the playoffs next year guaranteed with the easiest schedule and Cutler to help them. Meaning that the additional draft pick in which we have received from the bears has some value but it doesn’t guarantee us a great pick. Well whatever happens will happen and we will just have to wait and see.
Are you serious? Where did you get this information from?
DDENVER – You gotta understand the Broncos didn’t want to trade Cutler, he forced their hand. They have to put that behind them now and move forward regardless. They have to approach the draft looking at what will help us win now. If that is drafting Sanchez, then so be it.
After mini-camp McD’s raging migraine tells me he is under enormous pressure and that may be because he wasn’t impressed with either QB’s we have.
I heard the workout went well with Sanchez and they took him to dinner and the Jazz game last night. Sanchez made all the throws, including 65 yarders down the sideline, with precise accuracy.
Besides, we have already improved our D through FA with people who have proven they can play. Any draft coming out of college is always a gamble. You just never know who’s going to pan out in the NFL.
That’s what makes Sanchez so attractive. He’s already played in an NFL style system. I would not be surprised nor disappointed if they trade up with KC and draft this kid.
WILLIAMS55LB – You got a link or are you pulling our chain?
the only thing ive seen about a trade and quinn is that the browns are saying they will trade him and take sanchez with their first round pick. other then that looks like some chain pulling
The moderator should lock them out for a week for that nonsense.
asharp…who cares…still way better than all the regurgitated BS everyone else is saying..yeah..we all watch total access and PTTD…we know..we get it…theres pretty much nothing anyone can say that hasnt been beat to death already…well played williams55lb..

This is the link to the thunder story…not much said, but a piece of bronco history
