The ONLY way Denver beats Indy is if they get to Manning constantly (as in he can feel Dumervil breathing down his neck and hear it too, every play) and we have a steady offense keeping Indy off the field. They'll need 2+ turnovers, too. Play solid, mistake-free football. And a couple of big plays on special teams would do wonders as well. To those who think that the Broncos will blow out Indy, it would be AWESOME, but it won't happen. The Colts just don't have bad days; they are too good. They come out with a winning mindset every game and will make every game a battle. I predict (if the Broncos manage to play perfectly) 24-21 Broncos. Otherwise (and I hate to say it, but more likely), Indy wins. I'm not trying to be down on the Broncos, but to expect them to beat Indy would be kind of unrealistic. The stupid Colts are just too good and too consistent.

@ baylin.... the reason i mentioned that indy was under more pressure than we are to win this only related to the undefeated season. if indy could care less, then its a moot point. denver doesnt HAVE to win this game, but if they do then that just makes our job that much easier for the last few games of the season. and personally i think we have a better chance of winning our last 4 games than the chargers. imo but we have all heard about the whole monkey on your back thing when teams are undefeated this late in the season. it adds another degree of pressure and add that to the fact that they are playing a good physical team in the broncos and im hopin it will just be too much for them! also, dont forget that the pats have sort of had the colts number over the last 5 yrs or so and guess what... we now have their old offensive mind as our head coach. hopefully something carries over from NE, some weakness or other, and we shock the colts!! just a thought.
Go Broncos

Congrats Ryan! You finally got what's well deserved.

If we pass over Indy, then we'll have a nice shot to win the AFC west. SD still has to play vs Dallas, and they're in a "must win" mode now to get into playoffs (tied with Eagles 8-4 and just 1 game over NYG with tie-factors favoring NYG). Cowboys play at home and they're healthier than SD. So, nice chance for a SD loss.

Then SD has to play vs Cincy, and IMO, if SD is still on top in the AFC west, the Bengals will be playing "must win" too for home field adv.

I know the first thing to do is your own job, so Denver must win first and let the world roll in its own way. But no one can deny it'd be nice if this week the Vikes beat Cincy, the Cowboys beat SD, and Miami beat Jaguars, too... then the Broncos at 9-4, tied with Cincy and SD, and with a 2 game cushion over the 2nd wildcard seed team (whichever it is), with 3 games left.

Go Broncooos!

I agree, we are in "must win" mode. We COULD play it out maybe have a loss or two and still get as a wild card if some other teams continue to lose. In my opinion if you're wishing for teams to lose so you can make the playoffs, you don't deserve the playoffs to begin with. We need to take it for ourselves, we need to win every single game to ensure that we make post season play. Winning the division would be nice but honestly, SD is playin' well right now and they have somewhat of slack schedule remaining...but you never know right.

I totally agree baylinor. We are in must win mode the rest of the way first if we have any chance of winning the AFC West. Wouldn't it be sweet if we returned the favor to SD after the fade the we had last year to have it be the Chargers that fade this year and we become AFC West champs? Yes if we hope to accomplish this, we do have a MUST win game coming up. I would rather host a wildcard game than have to go on the road, probably to NE and win one there. Hopefully we win the rest and SD loses two.

I believe we have a shot this week, not a very blatant one, but one none the less, mainly because now the Colts are finding themselves just one win away from clinching the home field advantage throughout the playoffs. If the game doesn't present itself as a fairly easy win, I think they will just play it close to the vest, not take any unnecessary risks, not wanting to sustain serious injuries, I mean, they are not gonna put it all out on the line. If they don't win this one, they can get their home field advantage throughout in one of their last three games, at Jacksonville, against the Jets at home or at Buffalo, all doable, even so some will be fighting for their lives, maybe all, but the Jets might even be eliminated by then, and certainly Buffalo should. That looks like a good game for the Colts to clinch everything, at Buffalo, last game of the season, last rehearsal for the playoffs, a game no playoff team wants to lose.

And I don't buy the Colts are under more pressure to win this game Sunday than we are, like someone posted here earlier, are you kidding me? We are still trying to win the division, all the Colts are under pressure for is basically a meaningless record, the longest winning streak in regular season, I don't buy that being a major factor, same with the unbeaten season record, you know Manning rather lose at some point in the regular season to get it out of the way, just like we did. You better lose in the regular season, as the odds of winning the superbowl without a loss are 1 to whatever number superbowl last year was. And the Dolphins did it in a 14 game season, so it has just never been done in a 16 game season, ask the Pats how good it was to go undefeated all the way to the big dance. LOL.

Now that we lost that SD game at home we must win this one on the road to retain a valid shot at the division title, which last I heard is the first goal of the season, right? Wildcard is ok, but there is no glory in it unless you at least win the AFC championship, correct? I mean, if as a wildcard you lose in the first or second round of the playoffs, you were just a wildcard and no one will remember you, but if you are a division champion and lose the same way, you will always be a division champion for that year and everyone will remember it. That's a major difference, and that is why the home SD game was a must win game and it's a shame only Dawkins saw it that way and he waited for the following week to have the big talk with the team to straighten them out. I am still upset at McD, most of the team, and even some of the article writers here who all said that wasn't a must win game, geeezzzzz... just because it mathematically wasn't... . Only a division title will erase that debacle completely, an AFC title would go a long way into helping my healing and a superbowl win would totally cure me. LOL.

I have a diehard Colts fan as a wife so this one is kinda tough for me. I think with the secondary problems the Colts have this year it should be easy for Orton to tear them up with passes to Marshall, Royal and even Gaffney. I think the keys to winning is protecting Orton and running the ball consistently (and not consistently bad!)

My prediction is:
Broncos 20
Colts 14

(Even if this means I have to sleep on the couch. LOL!)

On a side note...Marshall has back to back seasons of 100+ catches and 1000+ yards. Does anyone think he can get 3 in a row? right now he is at 65 catches and 808 yards...so he needs to average a little less than 9 catches a game for 48 yards a game?
