Clady, Manning and Miller Named PFWA All-Pros

January 10th, 2013 - 2:17pm by Stuart Zaas

Another round of postseason accolades were awarded to the Broncos on Thursday with Pro Football Weekly/Professional Football Writers of America naming tackle Ryan Clady, quarterback Peyton Manning and linebacker Von Miller to its All-Pro team.

Denver’s three selections to the team tied for second-most among all clubs.

Here is what PFW/PFWA had to say about the three Broncos selections:

Tackle Ryan Clady
“Clady had his best season statistically, and he did it in his contract year. Selected to his third career Pro Bowl, he allowed the fewest sacks (one) among tackles who started every game for their team this season. Clady has yet to miss a game in his pro career.”

Quarterback Peyton Manning
“Tightening his lock on a first-ballot ticket to Canton, the 36-year-old Manning was brilliant in his first season in Denver. Directing his team to at least 12 wins for the eighth time in his last nine seasons with the Colts and Broncos, he tied for the league lead with 10 100-plus passer ratings, tied for second in completion percentage (68.6) and became only the second player in league history (Steve Young, 1998) to throw for at least 300 yards and three touchdowns in four consecutive games.”

Linebacker Von Miller
“The first player in team history to earn a Pro Bowl berth in each of his first two seasons, Miller has wasted no time becoming one of the league’s most dominant defenders, ranking in the top five in sacks (18½, third in the league), QB knockdowns, QB hurries, tackles for loss (28), run stuffs and forced fumbles (six). In 2012, the second overall pick in the 2011 draft became only the league’s second player since 1994 to record at least 15 sacks, 25 tackles for loss and five forced fumbles in a single season.”

13 seconds in, enjoyed Von Introducing him and Doom as Doom and Gloom. A popular name on these blogs since Millers acquisition. Dunno if he got it from here but they used to use batman and robin more. We are gonna need Von Doom to show up in the playoffs. loved watching him sack Brady … oh yea … and dance LOL

Wish I could attend the game. Place will be rocking! I’ll be sporting my #58jersey at home in SoCal, cheering for our boys to kick some Raven arses. Let’s send off Lewis to his retirement early.

  13. OTbroncos says:

Good for Clady. He took a risk not signing our first offer, and playing this year out. we need to pay up now..

    Ummm…. Anybody see this… I wouldn’t mind giving him a shot next year…

  23. still1972 says:

RH: You got to be happy for Milsaps, he rode good and your right TC41 was right there he will win one this year. RV1 will also come around. Was JS7 injury serious or will he race Phoenix?

  24. strandoftds82 says:

No Denver Broncos made the 15 finalist for the HOF. Bonkers

  25. strandoftds82 says:

And the 5 to seven who are finally picked that make the HOF won’t be chosen for quite some time.

  26. 1nOnlyTRB says:

    Congratulations all round.

Feel bad for Porter. He was my fave offseason acquisition. We needed a solid number 2 desperately and we got one. And he started off the season hot. But these concussions will get you. Gotta look after your health. Hopefully he is available for what is looking like Broncos V Patriots (if we do our part which i dont doubt). Because we will need all hands on Deck to cover that pass attack. Can’t wait for tomorrow.

  27. RH709 says:

I’m sure RV1 will come around. He was lightning in the heat. There hasn’t been anything saying that JS7 tore anything in his knee so I am guessing he tweaked it pretty bad but no serious damage. I’m an RV fan. He shouldn’t have a problem putting it back together and slowly chipping away at the points he needs to be in it. I really think it is still his championship to lose. The class really is as deep as they say. This year, even tenth isn’t an easy feet.

  28. Crush Arizona says:

How the heck does Jerome Betis and Andre Reed get to be HOF FINALIST over Terrel Davis and Rod Smith? now I know for sure it is just a popularity contest! HOF COMMITTEE YOU GUYS SHUOLD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELFS. YOU HAVE NO INTEGRITY AND HAVE PROOVED ONCE AGAIN THAT ITS NOT THE GREATNESS YOU SHOWED ON THE FIELD BUT THE EGOS YOU STROKE OFF OFF IT TAT COUNTS FOR CANTON….LOL

  29. geeksrus says:

Fine, the Ravens (scavengers primarily) have Ray Lewis (who should be doing time) and we have Von Miller (among others). Let the games begin.

  30. OTbroncos says:

One day away.. Get a lead, control the ball, drain the clock, stay healthy, and move on to the next!

  31. 1nOnlyTRB says:

lol @ who should be doing time. I live in between DC and Bmore … and whenever i bring up Ray Ray being a murderer … doesn’t sit well around these parts lol

  32. raidrhadr says:

Well, I’m a little mad today. Found out my sisters got thier playoff tickets…and sold them. On Xmas day I told them to at least give me first right of refusal. Guess they wanted to make some cash. It is going to be cold. So I’m having a party instead!!!! I hope we completely physically dominate these guys again. Last time was just a pleasure to watch. Haven’t seen that from our boys since ’98. I still say Broncos win 34-24. Too much PFM for Lewis and co. Too much Miller for Flacco.
