After the Matt Prater missed field goal, Tampa Bay took over on its own 37-yard line. The Bucs crossed midfield on a 24-yard reception by wide receiver Vincent Jackson.
On the next play, linebacker Von Miller came off the edge and strip-sacked quarterback Josh Freeman. The Bucs recovered the loose ball, but lost 7 yards on the play. It was Miller’s 15th sack of the year.
Freeman hit tight end Dallas Clark a play later for 9 yards, bringing up a fourth down from the 37-yard line. Tampa Bay attempted a field goal, and Connor Barth converted on the 55-yarder to make it 31-16 Broncos with 3:28 remaining.
