Another thrilling comeback, another Denver victory.
Make that four wins in a row for the Broncos as kicker Matt Prater drilled a 37-yard field goal in overtime to seal a 16-13 win over San Diego.
Chargers kicker Nick Novak missed a 53-yard attempt to give the Broncos the ball back with 2:31 remaining in overtime and the Broncos moved into field goal range thanks to runs from Tim Tebow and a 24-yard gash up the middle by Willis McGahee.
With the win in San Diego, the Broncos improve to 6-5 on the year and have now beaten all three AFC West rivals on the road.

If we still had Lloyd at WR we`d be much better off. The games would be much easier to pull away because Lloyd is sure handed.
Good for you alexanserg. Do you really think I care? The truth hurts. What that I said is untrue? NOTHING.
No respect for Royal. No respect for Willis. No respect for our D. Just no respect. I peg him as one of these Tebow-first, Broncos-coincidentally type fans.
I mean, honestly. What denver fan gives two … uh … stones about the gators?
If tebow were traded to – lets just say – tampa bay, FLBroncoGator would suddenly become FLBucsGator.
Just a guess.
Miller and Doom played great. They always do. McGahee played great. He usually does. If it weren’t for Decker and a missed kick, we lost the game. Tebow threw on the money all night. We dropped the ball. Without the missed kick by SD, we lost the game because of a punt on 4th and 6 inches. That’s reality. Fox has no balls. He’s an old man from NC that should go back to Carolina and drink his white liquor at a Nascar event. He’s not a winning football coach. He is NOT the future of the Broncos.
alex, assume all you want. I was a Bronco before I was EVER a Gator. Our give our D all the credit in the world where it’s due. I played defense. My son plays defense. The bottom line is…our D kept us in the game tonight but SD’s kicker WON the game for us. Our D can only do so much. At some point, our O has to step up. Tebow can’t do it all by himself. His throws were on target tonight and were DROPPED.
Ever Bronco fan needs to thank Norv Turner for the boneheaded call of the year. It’s 3rd down and you’re 4 yards closer for FG attempt than the new longest FG your kicker has ever made. It’s the perfect down to try the game winning FG. If anything is messed up, you fall on the ball and try on 4th down. NNNNOOOO!!!! Numbskullnorv runs and gets the Chargers dropped for a 4 yard loss. The FG attempt would have been good 4 tyardfs closer.
THANK YOU N ORV!!!
AND THANK YOU BRONCOS FANTASTIC DEFENSE!!!!!
Actually, as of right now Fox is a winning NFL coach. That is not opinion. That is fact.
Well … maybe your right. what do I know.
All I know is I am stoked about the Broncos right now. And on a 4 game winning streak there is not a single person in the organization that I am not happy with.
Tebow was among the first, if not THE first, to give credit to his teammates. This game had a bunch of MVPs. But the naysayers notwithstanding, Tebow has to have been one of them.
alex, you’re right. He’s barely over 50% right now which, technically, makes him a winning coach. If it weren’t for Tebow and his comback wins, he would, TECHNICALLY be a LOSING coach right now. That’s a statistical fact. John Fox SUCKS and needs to go. Even more than our receivers but not by much.
FLBroncoGator, how about giving some props to the Defense and quit giving all the Glory to Tebow,I like Tebow, but the Defense won this game!!!
Are you a Bronco fan or just a Tebow lover????
some people still dont learn. too many handles and still nothing to say.
new blog
Fox is the one who helped Elway draft our Defensive players,he is a great Defensive minded HC,Tebow is the real deal,I think we build our Defense up even more in next years draft, our Offense will get better with time, imo!
BFE, I already said our D is who kept us in this game. Our D is the best thing we’ve got. Doom and Miller are BEASTS. Tebow didn’t do anything spectacular tonight. He was just Tebow. He avoided sacks to gain a couple of yards, threw some good passes and some bad ones, and came out with the win. Decker won the game for us tonight. Him and SD’s kicker.
I still say the Defense won the game, you hold SD to 13 points at their house that is a great feat, imo!
Hate him or love him. Since he has taking over … we have gone 5-1 … 5 and freaking one. Thats amazing. Makes you wonder what the number woulda been if he started the beginign of the year … but like him, I believe there is a reason for everything and everything happens in its time, and it is right now.
The kid has willed this team to win. The same team. The same team that under orton many wanted to blame the run game and the defense … THE SAME TEAM is playing lightsout now and believing. An unselfish bunch too because this isn’t the most ideal way to get glory. But its effective, and I bet u the vets love it. They have played enough exciting games in their career, right now they just want it to get done.
What makes us so effective is we do the complete opposite of what others do. This is a passers league, everyone prepares for everyone the same because they all do the same thing with minor differences and different play makers, but we don’t even do it like that. So they gotta break out a whole knew game plan and though process. And its working. TT is the reason the run game is even for effective. Running gives us TOP. TOP gives defense rest. Tebow time keeps the team believing. And Tebow time happens because the team keeps it close. Its all a circle. THIS IS A TEAM. A VERY EFFECTIVE TEAM.
Simple gameplan. Keep it close, and snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.
And if you haven’t noticed his passing is getting better, his reads are better, and his pocket mobility is getting better, u are not watching the same game. Doesn’t happen overnight but i see it happening.
TRB
But it’s all good just glad we won…….GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!!!
in all the games we have won since TT took over … i believe the avg score of the opponent is like 16, so yes, the D is a major factor. Just like the year we started 6-0, the D is keeping the other teams scoring in check. And helping us win. No super stars here … just a great team relying on each other. TRB
TRB….your boy PP just ran back his 4th PR for a TD,which ties an NFL record, but Miller has 10.5 sacks and a crap load of TFL.
I do agree Tebow’s presence and his motivation has juiced up this team, and cudos to him for that…he is a leader of men!!!!
TT is DEFINITELY improving TRB. Our defense is as well. Our receivers, unfortunately, are not.
I agree our WRs are playing like crap, dropping passes, not getting open, they need to get better.
Imagine if we still had LLoyd and Gaffney!
Agreed BFE.
LOL….the new blog is the old blog!!!
Unfortunately, Lloyd HAD to go. He didn’t want to be a Bronco. Fortunately, we know what we need to do in the draft. Let’s just hope that management figures out that what we DON’T need is a QB. We need to build our O line and our receiving core. I have to wonder if anyone has even CONSIDERED what it would take to get Percy Harvin to head out West?
was d thomas playing. never see him any more.
Up is down and down is up. LOL
gator agreed. need to draft a rb, dt and cb. mainly d. but no qb. regardless barkley might not come to the nfl and luck aint coming to us.
I still say we need another Defense heavy draft.then worry about our Offense, maybe take an Olineman and a RB,but we need a CB first of all.
I hate drafting WRs never know if they’ll pan out,DT ring a bell?
We need another big body at RB to spell McGahee in the draft.
Isn’t Percy Harvin a former Gator?
C’mon now we don’t need all Gator players, lol.
If I had my say we would have a lot of UT players, but Colquitt and Ayers will do for now, lol.
Agreed strand…looks like Moreno is pretty much done,we need a good RB!!
McGahee is a great RB,but he needs another RB to compliment him,he ain’t getting any younger!
Alright guys I’m gone…Bronc on!!!!!!!
If the Titans let go of CJ at the end of the season, sign him. CJ will want to go to a run heavy O.
strand, titans are not going to let go of cj. didnt he just sign a new contract. although peyton hillis will probaly be available.
Yes, but CJ struggled all year until today.
what about forte. i dont think he got an extension. bears probally wouldnt let him go either.
As a CB myself, I agree that we need one desperately. Probably 1st. Our D is great on the line but our secondary could definitely use some help. Yes, Percy Harvin is a former Gator and one of the greatest receivers to ever play the game. He would complement Tebow very well. What’s he got to leave? The Vikings lol! We definitely need a RB to complement McGahee the beast. We also need a right OT. Orlando is only going to carry us so far. I WAS impressed by how much time TT had to throw the ball tonight. Again, he just had nobody that could get open and catch the ball.
isnt harvin the one who has migranes.
Is Forte a FA at the end of the year?
We`ll get some INT`s against Ponder next week.
hope so. it will be loud at minnesota. wonder if peterson will be out.
50/50 shot I bet. It may not matter. I don`t think the Vikes have a shot.
Peterson will not be 100%, we`ll stop him with the way are D is performing.
dont the raiders play gb next week. if not when?
Yes SoCal, he does. But he still catches balls like there’s no tomorrow.
yes he does when he plays. thats my concern. but he is a great player. we have a good core of wr. just a few tweeks are needed. wheater we add or change it up.
I wish I saw what you do Socal, all I’ve seen all season is our WR’s dropping balls that they have two hands on. How many passes hit their numbers tonight and were dropped?
