Following a coin toss Friday morning in Indianapolis, the Broncos – who hold the Bears first round pick – will have the 11th pick in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft. The Jacksonville Jaguars won the coin toss and will pick 10th.

Nice, saves us some cash.
Great spot right outside top ten money but still great players available
Fine..take it..we don’t care..we wanted #11 all along. LOL!
It only saves us money as long as we don’t trade up for #1, #2, or draft Dez Bryant. Any NT or OG will be a good pick!
I would take D. Bryant any time. The more playmakers who can catch the ball the better. We will do the defense alot more if we can keep them off the field. We will improve the defense if we can make more first downs. We improve the defense if we ca keep drives alive. Bring on Dez! B Marsh, D Bryant, E Royal, J Gaffney and the kid K Mckinley. That will help in all area mostly K Orton.
No to Dez, the guy is of questionable character, violated NCAA rules and is a prima dona in the making. Top it with the fact he is no taller than Gaffney, who is very capable of leading an offense in receiving if Marshall is let go, and is much more versatile than Dez and the fact that he his a high character guy, and add newcomers McKinley as a deep threat and Lloyd has plenty of experience and abilities, not to mention if McD finds a way to use Royal to his potential, we are not hurting in anyway shape or form to spend a first pick on a WR, just my opinion.
i say at pick 11 we take Rolando McClain if he is available. the guy is a beast….
also, most of you would disagree, but i would be okay if we took G Mike Iupati at number 11. this guy could be a solid star with clady and harris for years on our line
And the Bears just keep on losing.
bronc fan in Wa, you may be interested that Klis from the DP this morning completely by-passed the possibility of drafting McClain. Re-post:
Interesting statement by Klis this morning (it’s the last time I mention him today I promise, LOL, but you have to agree this guy is busier than most and seems to have the most insight on the Broncos), when listing possible first picks for us he doesn’t list a single ILB, could it be he knows more than we do? Here is what he says:
With their first round pick, the Broncos figure to take an interior defensive lineman (Jared Odrick, Dan Williams, Terence Cody, Brian Price); pass-rushing end/linebacker (Jason Pierre-Paull, Sergio Kindle, Sean Weatherspoon) to complement Elvis Dumervil; or quarterback (Jimmy Clausen); or receiver (Dez Bryant, Brandon LaFell).
So looking at that list would mean that 90% of all mock drafts that have us drafting McClain are dead wrong. I have to say I am a bit surprised about that, he puts all the failing to stop the run on the D line and thinks our ILB’s will be just fine. I wonder if it’s just a gut feeling he has or something the Broncos said or how they are acting that is leading him to think that way. Very interesting indeed. It would be fine with me because I think we should go with Dan Williams anyway.
Oh, Klis is being moderated, no not really, just joking, I think it’s just because I pasted something on real quick so the moderation process had no time to see what I was writing, at least I think that’s what it is, because there is nothing worthy of moderation in that post.
Yeah, that’s what it was, moderation part has been deleted now. I’m on here way too often, I know lots of you would agree, LOL. I am starting to know way too much about how things operate here, I think I’m ready for a job, LOL.
I do not agree with Klis. If someone can show me material of Klis’ last year mock draft (09), and he has us taking a RB at #12, then I’ll belive him.
Anyone?
Klis?
Not that his picks aren’t good, but IMO McClain would be better.
whitebronco#1, I don’t think anybody had us taking a RB with our first pick last year, McD did the opposite of what everybody thought we would do, and in that light as everybody is now saying McClain, it seems Klis learned a lesson and in essence says no way. I can see his reasonning.
At the very least Mc D will draft who he thinks is best for the team and I like the direction he has the Broncos going in. Despite what we think the Broncos need. There is a plus for a lot of positions and it will be super interesting to see who the pick becomes then will all hi “5″ and say, “Oh thats who I wanted, good pick Mc D”.I’m super excited to hear the words: WITH THE 11th PICK IN THE 2000 AND 10 DRAFT, THE DENVER BRONCOS SELECT……. Go Broncos!!!
Hey bay, nice opinion, but one could image. Mc D loves those 4 and 5 wides and to see Marshall, Gaffney, Royal, Bryant, McKinley and throw in a healthy Stokely or Lloyd or even a late rounder would go along way in helping out Orton who I think Mc D will stay with this season. Plus the benefit to the “D”, just saying…. Go Broncos!!!!
why draft a quarterback that can be a bust and stay with a pretty darn good 1 Kyle Orton for the Win
since we get the 11th pick in the 1st round does that mean we got the 10th pick in the 2nd round?
Cali, the 11th pick is the one we got from the Bears for Cutler, after that all our picks will be with our own, which is the 13th in each round, so in the second round we will pick with #45.
thanx baylin much appreciated
