After Week 16, the AFC West title chase has been narrowed down to just Denver and the Oakland Raiders. San Diego and Kansas City were both eliminated from contention with their losses at Detroit and vs. Oakland, respectively.
The Broncos can clinch the AFC West crown with either a win versus Kansas City or an Oakland loss versus San Deigo. Denver would also clinch if it ties against Kansas City and the Raiders lose or tie against the Chargers.
Denver and Oakland are currently tied atop the division with 8-7 records, but Denver owns the relevant tiebreakers, meaning that the Raiders need to finish with a better record than the Broncos to win the division.

LBF… I don’t see anything difinitive there… those stats came from wins mostly with a bad team around him… That has all been said before really as well… where are the facts that show he can’t play? when you only get to throw 8 passes it is hardly a good indication of anything accept the run game is clicking…
I appreciate the effort but can’t give you credit for any new thoughts…
except* eesh, when I type fast the grammar and spelling go out the window!!! lol
Condescending, gambling farmer!!!
No problem whatsoever OC to each his own, same with Turtle…
LMAO!
OT I agree with you. It has been a nice change to NOT hear a Tebow story every 10 minutes. I like him a lot but it was overkill and just fueled the hatred. I sort of felt like the Buffolo game was one of those “trap” games (not that I really understand that word) but they were on a 7 game losing streak and maybe the team thought it would be easy. I am probably wrong in my thinking but I don’t think we were prepared enough and couldn’t keep up with the changes in the game. I think Tebow tried to force throws and make big plays and he failed big time. I thought it was great when Fox was asked if he considered pulling Tim when he started throwing INT and he said NO. He said with every snap it is a learning experience. I am glad he is keeping in mind that he has a young team and a young QB and is willing to suffer the lumps to let them learn.
And the most ardent Tebow disciples aren’t awake yet, LOL.
Wow! 2 weeks ago we lived Tebow. I know it doesn’t look pretty, and he had a really bad game. But we are still in line to make the playoffs after a 1-4 start. That’s a pretty good showing for a QB who was never gonna make it in the NFL. If we can get some hard running done and play some good defense, I think TT would give his left arm to deliver a win to his team mates. I sure hope we will have enough Mile High Magic left for one more home win to end the regular season and get us Into the playoffs.
But to save you all the time, I’m just A DUDE, that loves the Broncos!!!
See you all real soon!!!
I try not to take my self too seriously, so I hope you don’t either!!!
VON TEBOW FOOTBALL!!! Where were you when you heard we had a shot at the playoffs after a 1-4 start?

Same here, done my job for the morning, seems I got the blog going full swing, haha.
After reading all of these posts that have been posted during the game as well as after with all of the analysts doing their thing on here, I have to say that I agree with absolutely everybody. There, that should please everybody because no matter what has been said, I agree with it.
I would like to say/ask two things though that I did not read in all of this. No one has touched on the fact that when we lost one defensive man, our defense just completely fell apart, and, when we lost one offensive lineman (I think Franklin) our offense fell completely apart. I also have not read anything on answering the question—Why did our Special Teams players miss the plane to Buffalo? That surely wasn’t them on the field this game. We had to have hired a bunch of “replacements” in Buffalo because our Special Team guys didn’t make the trip.
BT – forgot about the reefer lol… Just messing with you bro, you’re not condescending at all IMO
One other thing, has anyone noticed that Carolina has gone to the ‘college style offense’ and has been winning games?
Not looking for any “new thoughts” credit turtle. Of course it’s all been said, because the bad stats are everywhere and so are the bad plays & passes. And that’s why the burden is not on me to provide reasons he won’t make it, because it’s everywhere, your just blinded by tebow infatuation and no matter how bad the real proof (which is stats) gets, you revert back to the truly unprovable “intangibles” and claim to lay waste to the arguments against tebow, and its crazy.
After the last two weeks this team has not given me any reason to think they can beat the chiefs.Orton will shred our defense get the ball in the endzone. We have no offense whatsoever our defense is nonexistent. How can anyone pick the Broncos to win? Do you really want to see this team in a playoff game against a quality NFL playoff team? Do you realize how demoralizing that would be? Chiefs roll the Broncos 31-10
The turnaround from the 1-4 start came from a few things- the defense started to play very well and the o line came together and helped make our run game the best in the NFL. The dirty little secret is tebow had very little to do with the turnaround, and his play never at any point was consistently any good. The d bailed us out of multiple offensive 3 qrt no shows. They kept us in it so we could pull games out late, which was when tebow did have really good and memorable moments. but that’s not near enough to be given all the credit for the turnaround or the starting qb position for the denver broncos.
KC 21
Den 18
GOOD BYE 2011
IF DENVER WINS ,
THE MEDIOCRITY IS IN PLAYOFFS
WE HAVE NOTHING
WITH TEBOW IS PATETIC
Agreed 1972. This team needs alota work, and I have full faith elway will do what needs to be done in the next couple of years.
Bay, I fully believe that when you say that Tebow is playing football part time so to speak, that that is only from your own perspective. Thats where you and I differ. Tim Tebow puts more hous into the game more than anybody, the first to arrive to Dove Valley and the last to leave. Just because he`s commit to other avenues doesn`t mean he isn`t fully commit to the Denver Broncos. Your a true Broncos fan and I respect your opinions but we are in this together. I believe Tim stays as our QB for 2012 and noone is going to CHANGE MY MIND.
Well, now that I think about it…….
Jesus and Christmas did get in the way of me remembering to make my score prediction last week…..LOL
I better make it now before the spirit of New Year’s Eve makes a fool out of me…ha
Broncos 15
Chiefs 8
ILMSDB!!!!
I`m not going to over react because of a horrible game played in ALL phases. Yes Tim Tebow had his worse game but SO WHAT! He`s still a young pup learning the NFL game. Where`s the grace and mercy for playing starting QB for his first real go around. Most work places give an employee a good period of time to learn before they can make a true evaluation, if not I sure wouldn`t want to work for someone who shows no grace whatsoever, I`d say SEE YA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Last night I posted Tebow’s stats compared to other good QBs of recent and past. I don’t see how you can use stats to argue against Tebow. He’s on par with other good QB’s. He has less attempts then many of the QBs on there, but that’s a coaching scheme. The attempts he has he has done well with. Like Ive said from the beginning, I’m not a Tebow fanatic. I am a Bronco fanatic. I assess him on what I see. Nothing more. I didn’t follow him in college and don’t follow him off the field now (other then what the Broncos put out on him). As I interrupt the facts I see a promising young QB who shows signs of greatness to go along with signs of dismal play. That is nothing new in the football world amount first year starters. You heard it here first. We resign Quinn as our back up and move forward with Tebow for 2012. Our draft focuses on defense and running backs. My wild card prediction is that behind the scenes we try to move up to get Luck in the draft but fail.
I`m PMS myself. LOL
Louisiana, Those early days of ac/dc with Bon Scott, priceless.
Prediction and last chance to get some points:
Broncos 17
Chiefs 13
Ya that’s true 3rd but coaching scheme keeps his attempts down because of his trouble playing as a drop back passer. I have seen his throws and i’m pretty sure that he doesnt throw alot because they can be so bad. He also tucks and runs quickly, and completely loses his cool in the pocket as soon as any pressure gets to him. Some of these things are correctable but some I don’t believe are. Obviously no one knows for sure but I’m pretty sure I’m right about most of it. Not that I don’t wish tebow would suddenly take off and prove me completely wrong, I definitely do. I hope I’m proven to be totally wrong in every way about him, but it’s not likely IMO. I have seen alot of qb’s in my day and when a rookie qb is struggling but has potential it looks completely different from the things I’ve seen watching tebow.
Yes strand that’s for dang sure. That concert was some serious a$@ kicking fun, especially with angus doin his thing. I could watch that 500 times. That good. I love the Brian Johnson yrs too but there’s just something about them rockin with Bon that will never get old!! Ac/dc is by far my favorite all time band so I am a bit partial tho!
This is one of the best blogs ive read in a while, a ton of arguing back and forth. Definitely gets the blood flowing. Don’t know what the future brings, and I hope Tebow is included in future plans. Defense must show up this week, I really don’t want to see Ortonary beat us, that would be so awful.
I mean are you kidding me, if we lose to Ortonary, that would create a seismic shif that would rip the very fabric our our meaningless existance….j/c
GO BRONCOS, LET’S SCALP THEM CHEFS…yes I meant to write chefs. reminds me of the old Snickers commercial.
A fully agree. I met them back stage one year in 1988. Brian Johnson has a cool sense of humor, likeable guy. Angus is about 5’6″ at the most. Great band. I prefer the Scott days.
Definitely agree on drafting majority for Defensive needs. Very discouraging how Moore is playing. And Julius Thomas, what ever happened to him?
We are lacking in depth at most positions too. That`ll be addressed in the offseason, rest assured, you bet. Whether we realize it or not, we need a sure handed WR. I like a WR set but need a big deep threat with excellent hands.
Yes, Moore is playing poorly. He needs to work on being in good position and really needs work on tackling BIG TIME.
anybody know how long ill be banned from posting on live gameday blog, haventbeen able to post for three weeks now
Broncos 13 – Chiefs 9
I`m definitely wanting Bruton as our FS at this point in the season. He`s a sure handed tackler. Got to love that. I`m a firm believer in that sure tackling can sometimes be better than an INT Safety player. INT`s are a great thing but great tackling and a nose for the ball are priceless.
What I just reffered to is a picture to what Dawk does. A SS in the box who tackles play after play and gets the job done. Three and outs are as good as a INT is what I`m saying.
Is it New years yet?!
While very disappointed in the outcome of the PATs and BILLs games, I’d hate to be in the shoes of the Chiefs. They aren’t going to know what hit them!!!
Shaz – you are right – folks are fickle.
(When I speak publicly that reading glasses problem has had me close to hurting myself! LOL)
Turtle/Strand/Bay and others have all provided great posts with varied nuances that have all been very thorough and valuable. Thank you very much!
Lou – you are out to lunch. (You have my permission to stay there this is nothing personal. LOL) One game proof – 1st San Diego game – The defense didn’t come out and turn around the team second half – Tebow did!!!
It is clear to me that Fox is trying to move Tebow into the pocket passer mode faster than what the Offensive line is capable of. I don’t put that on Tebow at all. Orton wasn’t able to pass behind this O-line either. Fox/McCoy need to utilize the uniqueness that is Tebow to get as deep into the playoffs as they are able. Figure out Tebow as a pocket passer during the off-season and beginning of 2012 season. That means #1. Let Tebow run! #2. Let Tebow throw outside the pocket on the run. #3. Let Tebow collision. He is inspired by his collisions.
I think that Tebow’s Christianity has everything to do with his accomplishments thus far. His Christianity has everything to do with why I still believe he will rewrite the manual on being a QB in the NFL. His Christianity has everything to do with why I think Bronco fans “HAVEN’T SEEN NOTHIN’ YET!” as compared to what’s coming. Tebow’s faith in the person and work of a living Jesus Christ (not that nebulous thing: I believe, forget the facts, it’s what is in my heart – nonsense!) is what will haul his mug-bust into the HOF in due time. LOL !!!(I will give credence to the fact that if Tebow is injured or has greater opportunity for influence elsewhere, he may forego his NFL career.)
Bruton did look good in the game but I wanna see him long term before I say put him in full time.
The Tebow Disciples have woke- Up!!!
There you go Bay!
We lose to the Chiefs 31-21….
But the Raiders will lose and we will back into the playoffs….I don’t have faith in our team to beat anyone, but I still love ‘em.
Daddy, Tebows living his dream since he was 6 years old, and nothing is going to get in his way, NOTHING!!
Strand – I agree that he is the type that if he had to figure out how to do it on a prosthesis – he would!
Greetings Broncos fans. I’ve been a long time Broncos fan (back to 1984-85)…time flies! I have been and always will be a loyal fan through thick and thin. This year’s team is special. We’ve seen a couple of tough weeks lately, but there is nothing more exciting than having the chance to beat KC in our house to go into the playoffs strong. I urge every Broncos fan to do something to support the team each day of this week leading up to the big game. Wear a Broncos shirt, hat or whatever every day this week. Even if it’s only wearing the Orange & Blue colors, let’s show the world that Broncos Country is alive and ready! The team will see the support and feed off of the positive energy. I’m excited where this team is headed. Happy Holidays!
I`m a Jesus desciple and I don`t give a care what the nay-sayers think. I like Tim tebow as our starting QB. tims career as a Denver Bronco are FAR FROM OVER. So you nay-sayers can get over it.
Put the points together between the Broncos score and the Chiefs score on saturday. Broncos still came out ahead 14-13. The Chiefs scored a meesily 13 points in their own backyardm while we scored 14 in a CHILLY Bufallo New York game. Our outcome will be a win this weekend. Orton will fail miserably, are you kidding me. It won`t even be close.
BTW – I’m still Enjoying the Ride!! Even the bumps in the road.
The only thing that has me upset is the officiating. I still can’t believe the 1st call on Rosario that brought back the Royal TD. (Do officials have to watch film???) that stuff gives me indigestion!! (Does the NFL employ undercover investigators to verify the cleanliness of games???) For several weeks now the calls have appeared very one-sided to me – forgive me if it is the rose colored glasses through which I view the Broncos.
I won`t be ashamed to be called a Tim Tebow desciple, not in the slightest. I was a Broncos fan starting in 1977 and I`ll be a Broncos fan until a take my very last gaping breath on this earth. I BLEED ORANGE through and through!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m out for awhile – I’ll check back in this evening. Have a great day! Can’t wait till Sunday!!!
