Broncos vs. Texans: Quotables

September 23rd, 2012 - 9:19pm by Stuart Zaas

Head Coach John Fox

On injuries
“Update on the injuries: [CB] Tracy Porter, knee. [WR Matthew] Willis, hamstring. [SLB] Nate Irving, concussion. [RB] Willis McGahee, rib. [TE] Jacob Tamme, groin. He did come back to the game.”

On being one third-down stop away from getting the ball back for the second week in a row
“It was the second week in a row we lost by six points. It’s the second week in a row we started very slowly – different side of the ball this time.”

On it being frustrating that the Broncos still had a chance to win
“It’s just frustrating losing. I think you work too hard. You put too much into these games. Those players in that locker room, all the staff, coaches… We just have to put 60 minutes together and I don’t know that we… The closest we got was in our opener (vs. Pittsburgh). Those are two good football teams. That was a very good football game today as witnessed by their record. You can’t dig yourself that deep in the hole in the case of the last two games.”

Quarterback Peyton Manning

On his comfort level“Well, I think you try to learn something from each game. You know, it is hard to look past a loss, but you certainly study yourself during the week. And at least we get back to a little bit of a normal routine, from a week’s standpoint—[we’ll] be able to study this tape and study what it is we are doing wrong and study anything we are doing well and try to build off that. I think it is still probably a process. But it is hard to think about anything really besides losing two games in a row in a tough fashion.”

On what went wrong in the first half
“Yeah, it is hard to pinpoint. We will get a good luck at the film and see what it is. [I] certainly give Houston credit, but [that’s] not a team you want to get in to a lot of third-and-longs. I don’t know how many we had, but we weren’t very good early on third downs. [We were] probably a little bit better late there in the fourth quarter—got to be able to convert from third downs. A lot of time third-down conversions—if you can follow it—you can kind of convert it on actually first or second downs, if you do a better job staying at third-and-manageable. It seems like we had a few more third-and-longs today, and that is kind of playing into Houston’s hands.”

On the late-game firepower the last two weeks
“Yeah, certainly we are 1-2, and that is what you look at. Like I said: when you study the tape, one of the first things you study is what you are doing wrong. Why are we having to come back? We are not doing our jobs well enough as a team to get ourselves in a hole against two good football teams two weeks in a row. I certainly appreciate the guys competing, the guys fighting, and we’ve been knocking on the door there at the end. Like I said: it would be nice to get off to a better start. If you don’t, though—sometimes it happens—you still can find a way to win. Hopefully with that kind of effort … we can win a game with that kind of effort sometime later on in the season.”

Cornerback Champ Bailey

On coming up short for the second straight game
“We’ve got to start faster. I felt like the first five minutes, we were good. Then all of a sudden, they throw two balls over our head. We can’t live with that.”

On how Houston was able to convert big plays
“I honestly don’t know, exactly. It’s one of those things as a corner you just don’t want to do, is give up a deep play. They could throw 100 comebacks and curls, but don’t give up the deep one. It’s tough out there. It is what it is. We’ve got to learn from it and try to get better.”

On a key catch by WR Andre Johnson that extended a late Houston drive
“I was right there. It’s just two good players making plays. His quarterback put it right where I couldn’t get it, so I’ve got to give him a lot of credit. Once I started following [Johnson] around, he didn’t have a catch in crunch time. He made it happen. I’ve got to give him a lot of credit for that.”

Tight end Joel Dreessen

On the reason for the Broncos’ slow starts offensively
“I don’t know. We’re just struggling to find a little bit of a rhythm right now. I thought we really were going to find, some confidence, especially when we got the safety and got the ball back and drove down there. We went up 5-0, but we’ve got to find ways to do better than that.”

On the adjustments the offense made in the fourth quarter
“It’s tough to say without looking at the film, but all I can do is control what I can control, and I’ve got to get better. I’ve got to get better and getting open. I’ve got to get better at blocking so we can start faster. Everyone in this locker room just has to be concerned with how they can find a way to get better personally.”

Linebacker Wesley Woodyard

On if he thought he might score on his interception return
“I did. I joked the whole week with the guys like, ‘Man, if I ever get the ball, I wasn’t going to get touched.’ I saw the end zone so it felt like it was 200 yards away.”

On getting down early in the game
“We started off slow and can’t do that, especially with a good team. They came out and ran the ball really well the first half. In order to be a really good team in the NFL and a team that is solid week in and week out, we have to start fast.”

On the loss
“A loss is always frustrating, especially when we were right there in it at the end. We know we should have won that game so we have to continue to play fast, and come out against Oakland because they are going to be ready. They don’t care how we start; they are going to be ready to play.”

Wide receiver Brandon Stokely

On his advice to the younger WR’s
“You just keep on plugging away, keep on working hard. It is the third week of the season and nothing is written in stone yet. We still have the rest of the season in front of us so learn from this, put it behind us, and get to work next week.”

On the second half
“You feel like you have some momentum for the first time. The defense stepped up and we were able to get some things going but it was too late.”

On the Broncos fourth-quarter charge
“It doesn’t count. In the end, it is a loss. You play to win and we haven’t done that in the last two weeks so it is disappointing.”

It will be nice to NOT be playing a LeBeau, Nolan or Phillips defense next week.

We have got to start playing good football from the start of the game. Then good coaching to go along with it.

Three good games to learn from as we go into a divisional game.

  2. mainBroncos60 says:

I think if the Broncos had 5 downs and 5 quarters to play with, they would win.

  3. canadasbroncfan says:

we need to open up the O at the start of the game. Manning looks pissed when he is behind center Put the hammer down at the start

  4. oldsouthstander says:

Two main resason for the loss:
    1) OL was totally dominated by Texans DL.
    2) Cater absolutely Stunk! Allowed two easy TD catches.

  5. DaddyBronc says:

Old South – I’d agree that the Oline issues popped up its ugly head again. Bronco O-line of 5 blockers was getting dominated by 4 rushers. I thought we had gotten beyond that but I’m going to have to take back my week #1 apologies to our O-line. Obviously, Manning has never been any good as a QB when he didn’t have a pocket to throw from….therefore calls for Tebow are reasonable. Manning completed 50% of his throws and we lost ‘because’ we kept throwing!!!

I have to agree with Bay that we were out-coached. Hi-fives for Kubiak!!! when you comin’ home buddy??? Imagine an Elway / Kubiak tandem leading the Broncos!

I strongly disagree with those who are calling out Moore. Rahim Moore lead the game in tackles with 9 unassisted on the night. Kubiak strategically went after Rahim all night knowing he would be in zone coverage and he worked him hard with mismatches in both size and speed.

I also disagree in those who are calling out Porter. It was Adams who was out of position and not picking up the receiver. I believe that was true on both plays where Porter was ‘checked’ giving the receiver a step. It might have been Rahim on the second one – I’ll have to go back and look.

Mays didn’t perform as well as I thought but if you watched you could see that again…Coaching!….Mays was being picked up by blockers every play but he still spent the game at least close to the ball….and he made the QB pay when he got the chance…..that had to have hurt….not as much as it will hurt his wallet!!!

Where in the forest was Wolfe??? Our pass rush isn’t getting there quick enough! I’m sick to death already of these long pass plays down field. The Broncos are supposed to be picking up sacks when that is attempted against us????!!!!

Yell at me if you will but – I think this is a game Tebow would have had greater success in, because last years 3 headed run game would have had greater success than our pass game did and McCoy would have been forced to the run game with Tebow. You all would still be yelling about 50% completions and dropped passes…..

  6. DaddyBronc says:

If the Broncos can’t beat the Raiders next week I may have to take the rest of the season off. That’s too much to stomach!

If we are going to wait until the last quarter to start playing then we need a QB who is successful at that strategy! LOL Strongly recommend that PM get TT outta his head an play like Manning rather than like Tebow! LOL What to do if we end up 1/4, Which is what will happen if we lose to OAK???? All the team spirit in the world won’t help if we get into a losing streak. What to do? What to do? What to do? What to do?

  7. DaddyBronc says:

    *Prediction Contest*

    Raiders 10

    Broncos 30

  8. DaddyBronc says:

I’ll repost that later – just priming the pump!!!

  9. 3rdGeneration says:

Only thing I have to say right now is that the stadium folks have to get better about showing replays on the big screen. It was almost as frustrating as losing the game…not being able to watch the close plays and supposed penalties on replay! Please give them the feedback Broncos.com! That stadium was LOUD and orange today. It was a great home field advantage to no avail.

  10. Carsonic says:

All I can say is ditto DaddyBronc. Well, and I’m a bit worried about PM and receivers. There were at least 3 throws that could have been picked off, and I don’t know if it was the receivers running the wrong routes or Manning trying to force things that weren’t there, but our guys just don’t seem to be getting open until the last quarter. Something’s got to change there.

Oh, by the way, remember how we were down 1-4 last year, and how the season ended? Keep the faith people.

  11. Carsonic says:

That is, ditto to the long analysis post… though I sure hope the score prediction is accurate, too!

  12. tlcat06 says:

DB, you know absolutely nothing about Peyton Manning and it’s obvious by your stupid remarks about his comebacks. The only person in NFL history that has more comeback wins that Peyton Manning is Brett Favre, so stop acting like Tebow would’ve even had a chance to win those last two games, oh, but wait, Peyton did.

After playing that game over in my head before going to sleep (yea I know I’m weird) and after being a Manning fan for over 15 years… Let him play his game McCoy. Get outta his head and let him call the plays. You would never hold Michael Jordan back in a basketball game, or Ali in a boxing ring, why are you making it impossible for Peyton to be Peyton? You don’t know more than he does, simple as that.

  13. tlcat06 says:

Go ahead and be the people calling for Tebow, but I refuse to do that. And it makes me sick that after only three games against good teams you would do that, but there ya go, don’t seem lik real fans to me. Go jump on the Jets bandwagon, seeing as they’ve only beatn two really horrendous football teams and lost to one we’ve beaten.

  14. couldbetrue2 says:

I am not buying it- C’mon Peyton fire up all those cylinders- You’ve got more energy in the tank than this; – you’re ALL Champions energized daring – 1 thing left- expend energy in the field of play. Say what? 1-2 & 3-4 crv.neck discs inoperable spinal compression sadly mine; so yes I understand massive courage- yes I’m just a girl but I did get mad at the bad luck & fed up & remade it; WIN- IT IS THE ONLY OPTION;I see winning when I see Broncos- and Mr.Mays- its ok matt can’t have lost a chip off his ear in that manner; that flesch can only tear; he seems to think its a life long injury- rest of us rebuild our entire bods every 18 months and outside of possibly that Texan, no NFL player is older than 24 months- which why there is winning ahead for U.Great syncing- energy on the game of play.say yes.

  15. couldbetrue2 says:

Yes I did get up & still snowboarding the half pipe. Broncos as division winners is not too high a goal. See you there.

  16. killerkod says:

    Good Morning Gang…….

Well, another tough loss in the books.

Our D showed up on the first play and then pretty much got owned the rest of the way. Seeing those long bombs by the Texans was hard to swallow to say the least. And that’s what pretty much cost us the game.

And then the one person we can usually always count on, Champ, gives up the first down at the end of the game to essentially run out the clock. I’m sure he wishes he had that one back.

The playcalling on O was horrendous for 3 quarters straight. I’m not about to give all the props to the Texan’s D……..The run game wasn’t working, yet we stuck with it over and over for loss after loss……..and it wasn’t til PM started to let it fly that we had success.

    Again, too little, too late.

But there were some positives to take away. We’ve lost the last two games to the best teams in the NFL by only 6 points. We got down early in both games and never QUIT. We kept fighting til the final whistle.

Time to put this game behind us and move on. This next game is almost a must win. We can’t start the season 1-3….and more importantly lose to a divisional rival at home. Good news is that the Chargers got smoked yesterday so they didn’t gain anymore ground on us.

I told myself I would be happy to get out of the first 6 games 4-2 or even 3-3 and we’re still on track for that…….We’ll be fine!

    GO BRONCOS!

    GO BRONCOS!

  17. tlcat06 says:

Kod, I’m with you. But we have to win next week.

  18. baylinorcrush says:

I would hope that Manning fans can see the wisdom of being smarter than Tebow fans and not place themselves on a path similar to the emotional roller coaster experienced here on this blog last year. As far as fans are concerned last year was ugly, exciting in a way but in truth ugly. The constant childish heated idiotic battles between the Tebow disciples and Broncos football commoners was deafening. The Manning time here should be different. Cool heads prevail, anywhere, anytime, all the time. Manning is the essence of cool, calm and collected, hopefully we can all learn from it and quit running around with our heads cut off like Tebow on the field and his fans on the blog seemed to be doing most of the time last year. Just saying. Signed a Broncos football commoner. GO BRONCOS!

  19. tlcat06 says:

Bay, I am not going to sit back and not defend Manning and idiotic comments. I’m not cool calm and collected like he is in the least. And it does get on my every last nerve. But first and foremost I am a Bronco fan and I wouldve been ragging on people for being rude to Orton last year. There is no reason to live in the past when we are not there any more and the more they do the more annoyed I get. This is my football team and when people talk badly about it I get upset. And I am free to express my feelings on here just as much as any other blogger is.

  20. baylinorcrush says:

At my age life is too short for that sort of things, have at it to your heart’s content though, it’s just painful to watch.

  21. tlcat06 says:

    Then don’t watch it.

  22. tlcat06 says:

Besides, DB would be disappointed if I didn’t say something. LOL

  23. killerkod says:

Like PM said in his presser……it seems so far that the O and D cannot seem to click at the same time and work as a complete unit. When that starts to happen, we’ll be in a much better place.

  24. OrangeTsunami says:

What most of us are overlooking, is that football is the ultimate team sport, and we have a lot of new faces, including a new QB and DC. It will take time for everything to gel, but it might just work out in our favor, as we could start peaking down the stretch. All we need is a ticket to the tournament, and our only concern is to win the AFC West. I would actually prefer to sneak in under the radar, and not have all this crazy attention surrounding our team. Let the media write us off, because that’s exactly how teams form an identity, and the “us against the world” mentality is exactly what this need needs.

  25. OrangeTsunami says:

What bothers me the most are all the little mistakes, and missed plays. Not sure if it’s a function of the relaxed practice schedule all off season, and I know Fox is a “players coach,” but I think we’re long overdue for some tough love……….

  26. DaddyBronc says:

Mornin’ Kod / Cat / Carsonic.

Kod – you blamed the run game – which I agree is not up to last years standards but the pass wasn’t doing too well either. What’s up with 3 drops from Decker? 50% completion ratio? There were only 21 rushing plays to 52 passing plays. (The Texans had 34 rushing plays to 30 pass – )

Cat – I don’t want to know Manning’s reputation or what he did as a Colt – that has been my point for a long time. I think the Broncos are paying 20 mil right now and right now he has to ante up. 50% is the same as what JE sandbagged. We are supposed to be seeing a top 2 or 3 QB and yet he is being bested by Schaub and Ryan. Sure, he gets a pass today…but not much longer. BTW- we are a 1-2 team. We get ranked with the other 1-2 teams. You don’t get to be placed according to the level of competition. It’s the number of wins and losses….period!

  27. OrangeTsunami says:

DaddyBronc – you are aware we are missing Chris Kuper on the OL? He is the leader of the OL, and Ramirez is pretty bad… That’s a pretty big swing the other way….

  28. OrangeTsunami says:

Ramirez can’t nearly pass block as well, or run block as well, and was flagged a lot yesterday. The communication amount the OL is also suffering without Kuper, and it can’t be understated how much we miss him IMO.

  29. DaddyBronc says:

    Mornin’ Bay and OT!

Just to be clear – I am not calling for Tebow. (Though I think he would have pulled that one out) I’m just thinking that we had the 50% and all the drops already. The neck was supposed to fix all that. LOL

U R right Cat – I would have been disappointed – but you came through for me!!!! Thanks! LOL

  30. OrangeTsunami says:

    *communication among the OL

  31. DaddyBronc says:

    Good point OT – significant!

  32. DaddyBronc says:

Have a great day all!!! We live to fight another day!!! Fortunately – the Raiders are struggling a little more than the Broncos. I hope that bodes well for us…..

  33. OrangeTsunami says:

I just hope he is 100% when he comes back. He is a nasty SOB, and we need that attitude is the trenches.

  34. imready says:

There’s an old saying among competitive fisherman, “there is no substitute for time on the water”. The same goes for our Denver Broncos, to me , it’s not a question of “if” but “when”? It may happen all at once, a team that has appeared out of sync suddenly starts running like a well oiled machine. Nobody is going to want to play these Denver Broncos the second half of the season. I love the fight and tenacity I see on the field, no quit in this group. Many superbowl champions don’t start playing their best ball till the second half of season. If losing early means we are the scariest team to play against come playoff time, I’m all for that. This team will come together, and when it does, the rest of the NFL with have to stand up and take notice. No need to panic Bronco fans, the best is yet to come! Go Broncos!

  35. CarnageBronc says:

Is anyone REALLY asking for Tim Tebow, has anyone seen what happens to Tebow (last year) when the team gets down BIG. Not when it is a six point game. When the team was down 20 last week, PM brought the team back. Did his job, all we needed was a defensive stop….it didn’t happen. This week, we got down PM brought the team back, all we needed was a defensive stop, DIDN’T HAPPEN. We have nothing at LB besides Miller. BUT the upside is, we played the Steelers, Falcons and Texans first three weeks and they have a COMBINED 1 loss. Meanwhile, Tebow is stinking up New York. When this team all reads things the same way on offense, it is gonna be scary. When DMT stops dropping passes. When they read the coverage the same wa Manning does, it is going to be a great time. Things get a bit easier this week, and we will be 2-2.

  36. CarnageBronc says:

Giant SB champs TWICE after not playing well early and people asing for the head of the coach. I will say it once and only once. Tebow is an overrated media darling who cannot play quartrback at a proficient level in the NFL. Manning is a first ballot hall of famer. We are better with Manning.

  37. killerkod says:

As long as we can come out of this 6 game start with a 3-3 record, we’ll be fine. We can’t win them all……and this team is still trying to define itself. We’re getting there………we just need patience.

A win by KC over SD combined with a win over the Raiders would put us all in a three way tie for first place……..and I can live with that.

  38. FTR says:

Win as a team, Lose as a team!!!Give it time and it will shine! Here’s to watching the team take out frustration on the faiders!! The Evil Empire.
It’s fadier week!! At Home: I want a Blow Out, a Roasting, and a fader Nation Oblivation!!

  39. brian_schneider says:

I think one thing that I see as a gap that was never filled was our KR/PR. Bolden and Leonhard just don’t seem to have the explosiveness that Royal has. I know the coverage team on the punts seems to hold the PR from doing anything but Royal always seemed to be able to explode and get a good return. If…If the KR wants to take it out of the endzone…he had better get it to at least..at least the 20 yard line. There have been a couple of times now where Bolden has taken it out of the endzone a few yards deep and ended up at the 15 yard line. In a game of inches…5 yards is a lot of real-estate to surrender.

Our secondary needs some help at the safety position. Moore looks completely lost and is getting tricked by the WR on who to cover, leaving gaping holes back there. We’ve seen this now the past two weeks. He either needs to step up or we need to replace him.

Offensive line..Ramierez.. apparently is not a good “next man up” candidate..need to get someone else in there. Even when Kuper does come back it will take some time for him to get back into the grind. Hopefully he comes back sooner rather than later.

Everyone’s problem is after Week 1 Manning looked well…like Manning. Then he’s had a tough past 2 weeks. Everyone’s expectations was that he was the same Manning and all was right in Bronco Country. Well…the sky isn’t falling but the guy’s got some rust in some places he probably didn’t know he had rust. We’ve got the Raiders this week and if there was every anytime to break the rust off it would be this week. Going down 1-3 especially to the Raiders would be sickening.

We’ve had a problem now for a while getting all phases of the game to complement each other. Just need to keep on working on getting a team effort for a full 60 minutes.

That was a vicious looking hit by Mays on Schaub…man oh man!

  40. HandofDOOM says:

Our O line is playing down a man. Manny is terrible and it dictates completely what we can do offensivly if we can’t block a dude every time. WE NEED KUPER NOW. Other than that… Mays still kinda sucks… but that hit was AWESOME!!!!!! We should start a kickstart for him and all pay 5 bux for that hit on Schaub because after that he wasn’t the same again. Let him know we appreciate his hit cause it will cost his ass.

We will be fine guys. Quit your whining. This team is still gelling and the first 3 games weren’t exactly pattsies. Now we know we can play with anyone, let’s get on the same page and do it.

  41. tlcat06 says:

DB… Explain to me why Peyton’s history doesn’t matter at ALL but when you talk about Tebow his history matters? Can’t have it both ways.

  42. tlcat06 says:

I agree with most of you that we are a work in progress. Let’s be positive that we are fighters!!!

  43. x Papa Mojo x says:

    So…
I am a bit new here, but have read most of the posts from back too the dark McHoodie age. I think the only thing I have said was that joke about Von Millers bear carpet. Anyways… I just wanted to point out some good and bad about the game.

    Fav plays
-Mays brick housing Schaub (yea it cost us, but it was good to see some “mean” left in our D in a game that looked bad)
    - Dooms sack / safety
-Stokelys “I ain’t dat old” TD
    Hate plays
    - Any play for Lance Ball (outside of Willis it looks like wasted downs on the rest of our backfield. Ronnie WTF???)
    - Eric Deckers Slide ( Caught the ball and just QB slid when he could have safely got another 3-5 yards. )
    - Everything that Ramierez did. (The guy didn’t look like he could stop anything.)

Such a frustrating season we have been given… but I do take some comfort in knowing the Steelers, NE, and pretty much everyone in our division is sucking more then a Hooker on Colfax.

  44. imready says:

Anyone have thoughts on the officiating in the game? There was one of the Texan’s TD passes that I can’t get out of my head. I think it was the one to Walter,he’s running straight down the field with Porter slightly behind him and to his left. He give Porter a shove towards the sideline, and heads towards the middle of the field where he catches the ball and scores. Last I knew, it was illegal for the receiver to do that. I know the regular officials weren’t perfect but that no call ends up being possibly the difference in the game.

One other thing that sticks in my craw is the hesitance in tossing the red flag to challenge a call. Now maybe Fox and company had a better view of it on the sidelines but the announcers suggested that Wesley Woodyard did not step out of bounds when he was returning his interception. On a play like that, which could be the difference in the game, why not take a chance and toss the flag? Again, they may have had more information than us armchair speculators, but to me it would have been worth the time out to take a chance on overturning that call.

Guess it’s all water under the bridge now and we have the Raiders to look forward to playing next week. We all know D. Allen is a very good coach and the Raiders are feeling good with their victory against the Steelers Sunday. It’s always a hard fought game. With my stepson in northern California being a big Raiders fan, I’m expecially hoping to have bragging rights after the game. Go Broncos!

  45. Orange_Crusher says:

Has anyone noticed that there is a common denominator in the fact that we always have slow starts to every game and then have a great fourth quarter and end up losing most of the time?

I think it’s MIKE MCCOY…. I believe that McCoy and his play calling/game planning is the biggest problem with our team right now. Ever since McCoy has been the OC we have never came out and pounced on the opponent in the first half of a game, we never come out swinging and rack up 20 points on anyone in the first quarter.

It’s always McCoys bogus play calling until the game is almost out of reach and then they turn the QB loose to call his own plays and try to win in the fourth quarter. Happened with TT last year, Orton for two years before him and now McCoy is ruining Manning….

Anyone notice how we ran the ball up the gut several times on the goal line to no success just like in years past.

Our defense obviously has giant problems at Safety but our offense was the same ole McCoy garbage.

Its okay for me to point fingers because I’m just an armchair QB….LOL….

B F E, I agree with you and the no huddle, and the reason why is:

We have been completely outcoached in the last two games!

If you can recall with Shanny we used to jump on teams right off the get go with the pre-set first 20 plays and most teams could never recover.

Now other teams are doing the same thing in return to us, and it’s not surprising that Kubiak, being a Shanny student, is kicking our tails at it.

Unfortunately at this point in time McCoy is completely overmatched coaching wise so far and Fox just doesn’t say much about the O so it’s all up to Manning to make his own decision in the no huddle hence the success we get with it.

I wish McCoy did get the HC job in Miami is all I can say, and while we are at it I wish he would of taken Ramirez with him…

And what’s with about each time we make a great play it’s nullified by a dumb arse penalty? DISCIPLINE GUYS!

But the good thing is our team FIGHTS!!!!! And you can’t teach that, that’s what I hang my hopes on for now…

And so many easy drops by both Decker and Demariyus… DISCIPLINE GUYS!!!

I did like Brian Schneider talking about our anemic ST in returns this season, the way our guys return is about as exciting as when the ball is kicked so deep it can’t be returned. Between the new kick off rule and the way we return punts it is a pathetic part of the game to watch now when it used to be one of the most exciting with Royal, that’s for the ones who don’t remember Upchurch, LOL.

OC- McCoy is a huge problem right now. And Peyton said he was going to come in and run our current offense… And he wasn’t going to make it so it was just his offense. Because he is a team player and it’s more about the team to him than individual anything. But honestly, I would much rather have Peyton calling all the plays because I don’t see him calling for a run on 3rd and 4 unless the defense is going to tell him it’s working. Which means they have reigns on him. They just need to let him play how he plays and McCoy is out matched by Peyton’s intelligence and the intelligence of every defensive coordinator in the NFL. They have got to be more aggressive early in games. Just my opinion of course.

And I honestly don’t care about the refs, they are bad, we all know it, but it’s always the team that loses a game that makes all the complaining, it was true with the regular refs, it’s true with these guys, I don’t even bother thinking about it, just win the games and it will all seem a lot better, LOL.
