After three consecutive road games, the Broncos are finally back in the friendly confines of INVESCO Field at Mile High.
Hope everyone had a merry Christmas yesterday and spent time with family and friends. Now we get a full slate of NFL games to unwind from the holidays, including this afternoon’s Broncos-Texans tilt.
Tim Tebow is set to take his second start as a pro, and he’s already on the field throwing passes to Britt Davis.
Just got Houston’s inactives: Matt Leinart is listed as the third quarterback. CB Brice McCain, DT DeMario Pressley, G Shelley Smith, DE Jarvis Green, WR Andre Johnson, TE Anthony Hill and TE Garrett Graham will not play this afternoon. Jacoby Jones will start in Johnson’s place at receiver.
For the Broncos, Kyle Orton is the third quarterback. Laurence Maroney, Chevis Jackson, Darcel McBath, Stanley Daniels, Eric Olsen, Demaryius Thomas and Jeff Byers will not suit up.
12:45 p.m. MST: Britton Colquitt is out on the field in a full blue uniform alongside kicker Steven Hauschka. The rest of the players have made their way back through the tunnel. It’s a fairly warm and sunny day for Dec. 26 — it’s 52 degrees, according to Weather.com.
1:03 p.m. MST: Here are some photos from pregame warmups, courtesy of Gabe Hiatt.

1:12 p.m. MST: The returners are now on the field — Eddie Royal, Eric Decker, Perrish Cox, Syd’Quan Thompson, Cassius Vaughn and Lance Ball are fielding kickoffs and punts from Hauschka and Colquitt. We’re less than an hour away from the start of the Week 16 matchup, and fans are starting to fill the seats at INVESCO.
1:17 p.m. MST: The quarterbacks have made their way onto the field, and here come the receivers and tight ends. The defensive backs are running through drills in the end zone, and the running backs are huddling up and grooving to the music a little bit.
1:21 p.m. MST: The area just outside the Broncos locker room is being shown on the big Thundervision board, as the rest of the team is headed down the tunnel toward the field. THe whole team is meeting for a huddle, and it looks like it’s Brian Dawkins leading the pregame speech. There’s a lot of jumping around as the team breaks the huddle, and Knowshon Moreno is leading the sprint to the end zone for warmups.
1:43 p.m. MST: Both teams have made their way off the field, and we’re about 20 minutes away from kickoff. The offense will be introduced to start the game — take one guess as to who will be last through the tunnel.
1:50 p.m. MST: The Thunderstorm jumpers are parachuting onto the field and the National Anthem is coming shortly. See you in the first half blog.

Happy Xmas all – come on Tebow and the number 2 pick!
Wow, one blogger in the pregame, and he is from a different country!
Hope there is more people than that at Invesco, haha.
Merry Christmas indeed! Interesting day. It seems the phrase, “go Broncos” can be used with equal legitimacy going both ways today, as Kubiak and much of his coaching staff still count as Broncos in my book and while many of those on the Denver bench will probably be exiting Denver after one final game. I’m rooting for good play from the Denver players and any good coaching whatsoever.
Hey Baylin, I’m living in Tanzania, so you’re still the only one in the States. Crazy quiet in here.
