Need to play a whole game not just one quarter of a game. Manning is human not a super power, he needs help that the offensive line is not giving him. Manning wasn't getting ANY time, and the Texan's running game was awesome, with lots of room to run, and Schaub had ages to pass, and our DBs weren't up to the task ... then, we seemed to come back to earth, and both offense and defense seemed to get a second wind ... if Thomas had gotten both feet down for that TD, we would have had more time at the end ... I'll tell you this - Houston was very happy to end up with a win ... you really have to admire the Broncos last week and this week ... maybe they don't have good game plans going in ... and in that 3rd quarter, I was BEGGING us not to run on first down, and then we'd get stuffed ... but I have a lot of hope ... I couldn't imagine the Chargers only getting 3 points against ANYBODY ... and the Chiefs were SO lucky - New Orleans got HOSED on several replay calls ... but - it is what it is ... I'm glad the Raiders won today - I'd not like them to come in here 0-3 ... the Steelers couldn't get near the QB today - that's why the Raiders won ... we HAVE to do that ... we didn't do a great job of that today ... but that first play safety was a thing of beauty ... right now it's tough being a Bronco fan - but I, like lots of you here - have great faith ... I thought Manning couldn't POSSIBLY throw long over the middle, and then he hit #14 and #88 in stride, and now I think opposing defenses will have to be a little more honest ... but he did hit a lot of the Texan's DBs right in the numbers ... our receivers or Manning's fault??? ... ah, well - there's always next week ... but I've been amazed the last two weeks that, at the end of the game, are we really only down 6??? ... I respect your opinion and I'm not discounting them. I just feel like we made them look a little better than they are with all our mistakes. They have a great scheme and the right players for that scheme. I feel if we met them in the playoffs, Manning would exploit their secondary which I feel is their weak link. Take care lbf!! cat...... This Houston team is probably the best all around team right now. They are healthy with great players and coaches. That said, we still are yet to put together a full game on both sides of the ball. The coaching has to get better sooner than later. I was coming out of my seat when we were down on the five and tried to run the ball in twice when we needed every second on the clock. That time lost on the clock was terrible coaching. I can't say that the game was lost on these decisions because we need to find a way to play with a lead instead of coming from behind. We need to find a way to win division games and AFC games right now and hopefully start gelling as a team by the playoffs. PLAYOFFS, PLAYOFFS.....how about we win next week!!!
