The Broncos are less than two hours from their nationally televised preseason showdown against Pittsburgh. Many players have taken the field in shorts and t-shirts as they prepare to close out the preseason slate at INVESCO Field at Mile High.
In the last several hours, players including Champ Bailey, Brandon Stokley, Ryan Clady and Knowshon Moreno have gone through light workouts with Broncos strength and conditioning staffers.
The stands are beginning to fill up with fans, and Gray Caldwell is currently down on the field snapping pictures of the pregame action to be added in this space soon.
4:20 p.m. MDT A pair of quarterbacks have spent time out warming up so far. Kyle Orton went through some light tossing and finished with a few deep balls to operations staffers before heading back into the locker room. Tim Tebow has been out tossing passes to Britt Davis for 15 minutes or so. Tebow, who did not play in last weekend’s preseason game against the Lions due to injury, warmed up and then sent his wide out through a series of routes.
4:41 p.m. MDT: Most of the Broncos have returned to their locker room, leaving the field for the visitors. One Bronco still warming up is Eddie Royal, who is catching short passes from wide receivers coach Adam Gase.
4:46 p.m. MDT: The first Broncos in full uniform — the specialists — have taken the field. Matt Prater is hitting some short field goals right now. The Broncos are in their blue jerseys tonight. The Steelers will wear white.
5:05 p.m. MDT: Tim Tebow is out on the field warming up in full uniform with the other quarterbacks.
5:10 p.m. MDT: The returners are out fielding punts from Britton Colquitt. A newcomer to the seven-man group is Eric Decker.
5:12 p.m. MDT: More skill position players have taken the field. The running back group features a new addition — LenDale White. White returned to the practice field this week after missing the first two preseason contests due to injury. Fullback Spencer Larsen is also in uniform for the first time this preseason.
5:16 p.m. MDT: The rest of the Broncos just emerged from the tunnel and the team just got fired up in a brief huddle. They’re going through stretching now.
5:25 p.m. MDT: The list of Broncos not expected to play tonight includes Brandon Stokley, Champ Bailey, Tony Carter, Knowshon Moreno, Correll Buckhalter, Darcel McBath, Ryan Clady, Demaryius Thomas, Daniel Graham, Elvis Dumervil and Darrell Reid.
Zane Beadles will start at left tackle. Stanley Daniels will start at left guard. Russ Hochstein will be at right guard for Chris Kuper. Riar Geer starts at tight end for Graham and White will start at running back for Moreno.
5:27 p.m. MDT Here are some photos from tonight’s pregame warmups:
5:31 p.m. MDT Another Bronco suiting up for the first time this preseason is linebacker D.J. Williams. He’s warming up with the defense right now.
5:38 p.m. MDT Both teams have gone back to their locker rooms for final preparations. They’ll be back in a few minutes to get things started.
5:48 p.m. MDT The Thunderstorm Jumpers just touched down on INVESCO Field — five-for-five on successful landings.
5:55 p.m. MDT The Denver Broncos Cheerleaders are lining the tunnel to the field. The Steelers are already on the field. The home team isn’t far behind.
5:58 p.m. MDT The Broncos offense is being introduced. The national anthem is next.

Will tebow play tonight? how long will the 1st string play?
Well, Don’t know about Tebow, but McD would like to have the first string play into the 3rd quarter to get in how they prepare for after the half and etc. Probably will only play a drive in the 3rd and hand it over to 2nd string, but that’s what I’ve read.
Starters will play for 3 quarters unless the game is a complete blow out. Tebow will play a little, maybe a few series.
Hopefully Clady doesn’t play. No need to risk it IMO.
All i know is , for me , Brady Quinn better perform tonight lol.
If Clady plays I’ll be soo upset. They should sit him just like Jacksonville is sitting MJD. Too risky.
Yea I don’t want him to play either…its just preseason and I know what im getting with clady..just like with bailey and dawkins.

Yea. Quinn isn’t playing too hot. We need to at least get him to look decent so if we decide to trade him and keep 2 QB’s we’ll get SOME sort of value out of him.
I just hope Orton does not get hurt. All we need is him to hurt an ankle. He was looking so much more mobile the last few games. Maybe he needs some steel ankle braces lmao.
Hey fans, new to the blog. Well, not new cuz I post occasionally. Here’s what I’d like to see. Orton stay hot, any RB get some good yards, Clady sit out (no reason to risk it), a turnover or two from the defense, and for Brady Quinn to show up and play tonight. I can’t underestimate how important it is for Quinn to have decent night. As the #2 guy on the depth chart he needs to show he can lead this team. So far I’ve seen very little leadership. And when I say “leadership” I don’t mean “rah rah” BS ……..I mean coming and not missing a beat and leading the team to some scores WITHOUT turnovers. Finally, I’ll say no other team has passionate fans like Broncos fans. We have our naysayers and our koolaid drinkers but we are all still passionate fans. Here’s to a win tonight.
Is Thomas going to play? He has to get some reps or he is going to have a tough time this year. Decker may be the rookie to watch

I for one hope we get to see lendale and bucky, too see what our team can do running the ball with those 2 backs. DJ, CHAMP, Haggan going to the middle and Moss playing outside should give us a look at what our defense should really look like once the season starts.
well no Bailey or buck or clady or Graham. That sucks, but I gues its better they get healthy. Graham and Clady really help our run game.
