Broncos vs. Seahawks: Second Half Blog

September 19th, 2010 - 3:36pm by Eric Detweiler

HALFTIME FESTIVITIES As part of the Broncos’ U.S. Military salute, the U.S. Marine Corps’ Silent Drill Platoon performed for fans at INVESCO Field at Mile High. Both teams are still currently in the locker room as the second half kickoff awaits.

Q3 15:00: The Broncos will receive to start the second half. Perrish Cox takes Olindo Mare’s kick about 6 yards deep in the end zone. He makes it out to the 5-yard line before being dragged down. The Broncos offense takes over there with Moreno taking a first down handoff. He picked up 2 yards. On second down, Spencer Larsen hauled in his first catch of the game. The fullback got four more yards, setting up a 3rd-and-3 from their own 12-yard line. Klye Orton hit Brandon Lloyd for a 13-yard gain and a first down to the 25-yard line. On the ensuing first down, Orton went deep for Jabar Gaffney but couldn’t connect. On second down, Orton went down for a 3-yard loss on a sack.

Q3 12:13 On third-and-13, Orton tried to dump a pass off to Buckhalter, but the veteran running back bobbled it and couldn’t haul it in. That set up a Britton Colquitt punt. Golden Tate returned the punt back to the Broncos 22-yard line. It was a 63-yard return of a 63-yard punt. Robert Ayers limped off the field after the play.

Q3 11:51 Taking over with its best starting field position of the game, the Seattle offense began with a run by Justin Forsett. The Broncos defense snuffed it out, stopping Forsett in the backfield. The Seahawks went right back to Forsett, who found a little more room this time, picking up 4 yards. On 3rd-and-8 from the Broncos 20-yard line, Hasselbeck threaded a completion into Deion Branch. The veteran receiver picked up 9 yards and a first down. On first down, Hasselbeck couldn’t connect with John Carlson with Mario Haggan on the coverage. Robert Ayers has returned to action.

Q3 9:47 Hasselbeck hit Ben Obamanu over the middle for an 11-yard touchdown on the following play. Mare’s extra point was good, cutting the Broncos’ lead to 10 points just more than five minutes into the second half.

BRONCOS 17, SEAHAWKS 7

Q3 9:46 After the Seahawks’ first scoring drive, Mare kicked deep to Perrish Cox. This time the kick sailed through the end zone — through the uprights, actually — for a touchback. The Broncos take over from their own 20-yard line.

Q3 9:45 On the ensuing first down, Knowshon Moreno’s carry picked up 4 yards. A pitch to the running back on second down resulted in a yard loss. On third down, Orton took a shotgun snap and misfired for Lloyd but Marcus Trufant was flagged for pass interference, continuing the drive. The penalty went for 14 yards.

Q3 8:15 Buckhalter picked up 2 yards on his first down carry. On second down, Moreno took a screen pass. The running back was trapped by a pair of defenders in the backfield but he stepped around them and was off the races. He was finally pulled down 45 yards down field by Earl Thomas. On first down, Orton hit Royal for 4 yards to the Seattle 12-yard line. Buckhalter’s second down run brought 1 yard. On 3rd-and-5 from the Seattle 11-yard line, Orton took a shotgun snap and hit Daniel Graham off the right side. He was wrestled down at the 1-yard line, setting up 1st-and-goal.

Q3 4:40 Moreno tried the left side on first-and-goal but was stacked up. On second down, he was stopped short again. On third-and-goal from inside the 1-yard line, leaped and fell into the end zone for the touchdown. Prater’s ensuing extra point was good, extending the Broncos lead back to 17 points.

BRONCOS 24, SEAHAWKS 7

Q3 3:31 Matt Prater’s kickoff flew through the end zone for another touchback. The Seahawks start from their own 20-yard line.

Q3 3:30 Hasselbeck started the drive finding Golden Tate down the sideline for a 52-yard reception. The rookie tight roped the sideline and cut back before being brought down by Dawkins. He took a shot at the end zone on the next play, coming up empty. After an incompletion, Hasselbeck and the Seahawks faced 3rd-and-10 from the Broncos 28-yard line. The quarterback hit Forsett with a screen pass. He picked up 8 yards, bringing up 4th-and-2 from the 20-yard line. The Seahawks will go for it. Hasselbeck tried to hit Deion Branch in the back of the end zone on the play, but the receiver couldn’t make the play over Champ Bailey. The Broncos take over at their own 20-yard line.

Q3 1:54 On first down, Orton’s screen pass to Demaryius Thomas lost yards. Moreno’s second down run got back to the original line of scrimmage. Before the third down play, Aaron Curry jumped into the neutral zone for a 5-yard penalty. On third down, Orton hit Thomas for 9 yards and the Broncos 19th first down of the day. The play ended the third quarter.

Q4 15:00 The Broncos began the fourth quarter with a first down at their own 34-yard line. Moreno was stuffed for no gain on the first play of the new quarter. Orton then hit Thomas for 14 yards and another Broncos first down. Correll Buckhalter slammed ahead for 2 yards on the ensuing play. Then Orton scrambled to buy time but could not connect with Thomas. On third down, Orton hit Royal for 10 yards and a first down to the 40 yard line.

*INJURY UPDATE* Broncos cornerback Andre’ Goodman has a thigh injury. His return is questionable.

Q4 11:09 After a pair of short runs, Orton hit Gaffney for 6 yards and a first down to the Seahawks 27-yard line. Buckhalter got the next two carries, picking up 6 yards combined. Before the third down play — which will be the 14th of the drive — the Seahawks called their first time out.

Q4 9:17 Seattle cornerback Kelly Jennings fell down on a deep pass to Demaryius Thomas. The rookie easily hauled in the catch — his eighth of the game — for a 21-yard touchdown. The Broncos now lead 31-7 with 9:11 left in the game. Orton now has 292 passing yards and two touchdowns. Thomas has 97 yards receiving in his Broncos debut.

BRONCOS 31, SEAHAWKS 7

Q4 9:11 Prater nails another touchdown, forcing the Seahawks to start from their own 20-yard line.

Q4 9:10 Leon Washington gets the first down carry for the Seahawks. He picks up 7 yards. On second down, he gets 4 more yards. On third down, Hasselbeck hits Mike Williams for 8 more yards. Then, the quarterback hit Branch for another first down. On the next play, former Bronco Ben Hamilton was flagged for holding. Ben Obamanu found room in the Broncos defense to pick up a 19-yard reception on the next play.

Q4 6:21 The Seahawks continued their impressive no-huddle march with a 22-yard pass from Hasselbeck to Carlson. Rookie Cassius Vaughn brough him down. Two plays later, Hasselbeck finished the drive himself, scrambling 20 yards up the middle for the touchdown. Mare’s extra point cuts the lead to 31-14 with 5:59 left in the game.

BRONCOS 31, SEAHAWKS 14

Q4 5:59 The Seahawks line up for an onside kick. The bouncer skips high and out of bounds. The Broncos will take over at the Seahawks 43-yard line.

Q4 5:58 Knowshon Moreno gets dropped in the backfield on the first play of the next drive. He loses 6 yards. On the next play, Orton hits Brandon Lloyd for 15 yards, setting up 3rd-and-1. Buckhalter gets wrapped up in the backfield on the next play, bringing up 4th-and-4 yards to go from the Seattle 37-yard line. The Broncos call their first timeout before the play.

Q4 3:42 The Broncos send out Britton Colquitt to punt. His kick is faircaught by Golden Tate at the 6-yard line. That’s where the Seahawks will take over.

Q4 3:37 On first down, Hasselbeck looks deep for Tate. The pass sails long with Cassius Vaughn covering. The Seahawks quarterback dumps a pass off to Butler for a 3-yard gain, bringing up third down. Hasselbeck’s third down pass sails incomplete. The Seahawks will punt. Eddie Royal is back deep for the Broncos. His first return attempt of 2010 ends with him being slung back by Ben Obamanu for a loss. The Broncos start at their own 19-yard line after a personal foul penalty on Eric Decker.

Q4 3:15 Moreno tries the right side on first down, picking up a yard. Seattle uses a time out.

Q4 3:11 Orton fires incomplete for Dan Gronkowski. Correll Buckhalter slides forward for a 4-yard gain, bringing up 4th-and-5. The Broncos will punt.

Q4 2:45 Colquitt hits a 53-yard punt and Tate brings it back 19 yards to his own 42-yard line. The Broncos are challenging, hoping the referees decide Tate was touched as he fielded the ball on his knees.

Q4 2:44 The play stands as called. The Broncos are charged a timeout. Leon Washington got the first down handoff. He picked up 3 yards. On second down, Hasselbeck fired incomplete. On third down, the quarterback hit Branch for the first down. That brings up the two-minute warning.

Q4 2:00 On first down from the Broncos 46-yard line, Hasselbeck hit John Carlson for a 4-yard gain. On the next play, Perrish Cox stepped in front of Hasselbeck’s pass for the defense’s third interception of the game. Cox picked up a personal foul for unsportsmanlike conduct after the play, but the Broncos can just take a knee and close out the game.

Q4 1:14 Orton kneels the ball three times to run out the clock and close out the win. The Broncos win their 11th straight home opener and improve to 1-1 on the 2010 season.

And yes, ST coverage was poor again, should of been included in the bad, but funny enough this time it switched from KO’s last week to punts this week, 3 punt returns for 82 yards, bye bye field position.

  2. baylinorcrush says:

It shows in McD’s scheme how the running game is just a diversion, yesterday 38 runs for 65 yards, a 1.7 yard average!!! Like I said all week Orton was going to have to win this one. No one in the league will be buying that we can actually run the rock, not now anyway.

  3. killerkod says:

We will certainly need to pressure the QB next week more than we have so far this season. If we can’t disrupt Peyton’s game, he will def. shred our D. The worst thing is he is brilliant at picking up blitzes too so you’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t. Our D will have their hands full no doubt.

On the up side….I know our O can keep pace as Indy’s D isn’t lights-out by no means. Should be a great game…..will come down to turnovers.

  4. baylinorcrush says:

Monday is not a day I speak about the next team it’s like for the team, it’s a day to enjoy your victory and rest your mind and bodies. However since you guys are already bringing the Colts up, I would strongly disagree that the Colts D doesn’t represent a stiff challenge for us. Their weakness on D is against the run, and we can’t run for our lifes, and against the pass, they do bring it, believe me, the O line will have their hands full to protect Orton. I won’t say anymore for now other than this will be a MAJOR problem game Sunday.

  5. baylinorcrush says:

Ask Eli if they can bring it, LOL.

  6. killerkod says:

By no means do I think they won’t be a challenge…..but if we can protect Orton and get our running game going I think we’ll be in good shape on the Offensive side of the ball.

  7. baylinorcrush says:

Two real big ifs, considering we do not run the ball well at all and we have an inexperienced/hurt O line to protect Orton from the vicious QB pressure the Colts love to bring. That’s all I’m saying, calling it how it is, simply not stating the obvious that we’re going to be fine if we do this and that etc… Of course if we do all those things right that we do wrong we’ll be ok, heck we might even win the SB, just saying. You are talking like a true fan though, seeing little problems here and there that are easily rectifiable, making mole hills out of mountains, good for you, I wish I was more like you…

  8. baylinorcrush says:

And BTW, my call that we might carry all 6 WR’s for this game was dead on, even so I didn’t see my man Willis, did he even make it on the field anywhere?

  9. baylinorcrush says:

Haaaaaaaa, the smell of VICTORY, sweeeeeeet!

  10. camharland says:

Nothing like a Monday a after a good Bronco win!

  11. timmah says:

I say put two tightends on the field at all times to help block freeny. Although I think now that clady is starting to get better freeny will have his hands full. I don’t understand what is wrong with our defense. We have all the speed and experience in our dbs and we still get burned, it is like the broncs play too loosely and don’t tighten up like they play prevent all the time. Where is the man to man, the corners blitzing the safties blitzing. Why isn’t the linebackers able to clean up after an much improved d line? these are just questions that I don’t understand what is going on? It is like except for champ, and dawk all the dbs are rookies. even andre goodman wasn’t that great. It is like our dbs are afraid to get physical at the line of scrimmage so they back off. I say our passing offense is 50 times better than last year and our run offense I believe with a couple more weeks of gelling will be ok, that ok means maybe between moreno and bucky we get a 100 yard game. I guess Im excited but yet worried about our d and run game. ST was aweful again. The only one getting down the field is Cassies Vaughn other than that. Where is thompson, cox, willis at they would bring some speed. Prater is still a beast. one more thing I am excited for what Demarius Thomas brings to this offense.

  12. baylinorcrush says:

There are reports Brandon Jacobs will ask for a trade today, he is the stereotype power back we desperately need, I personally would definitely pay attention to that if indeed the Giants would be willing to trade him, even at the cost of one of our surplus WR or CB. But McD will probably sit on the sidelines on this one since running is not a priority of his, maybe he gets struck by lightning and re-arranges his priorities? LOL.

  13. Greatness007 says:

Running is a priority of McD. He knew it really was not working so he used Kyle’s good decision making to over come it. That’s why we were so good on 3rd down. So the people who wanted DEz. What do ya’ll think about the pick now?? Demaryius has arrived but he needs to keep it up. His rute running if far superior tham BMarsh. We need Kuper back on the line more than Harris. Hocstein was getting pushed around all game. If they iso the game tape on JD and Hocstein only. It well show how bad it was. JD was mauling their DTs.

  14. baylinorcrush says:

Runnig is a priority of McD or SHOULD BE??? You got me stumped on that one, McD passes to set up the run, passing IS his priority.

  15. sndvl says:

The Ugly- (a little help if ya dont mind baylin)

Cox and his unsportsmanlike conduct after his first career INT. Bailey leaving on crutches. And the AARP D-line.

  16. baylinorcrush says:

Yeah Cox doing that throat slashing gesture kind of shows the reason he wasn’t drafted earlier, he does have a bit of attitude, hopefully he just wasn’t aware of the rule and that’s that. Bailey said he hoped he would be allright for Sunday, so it must not be all that bad for him to even say that. What’s wrong with AARP, I got my card, LOL.

  17. sndvl says:

Not to be debbie downer, cause it was AWESOME to finally get that elusive win once it matters. 3rd down efficiency was the difference in this game. Watching Moreno running with some burst of authority is encouraging…once Harris and Kuper recover, we might actually run the ball with some consistency! Orton. Yup! DMT. Wow! Royal. Welcome Back Buddy! Missed you last season.

    GO BRONCOS 2K10!

  18. sndvl says:

Baylin, I dont care about our strengths and weaknesses. Whos hurt or whos playing. All I know is we are due against Indy.

    34-31 Denver.

    GO BRONCOS 2K10! Ignite Indianapolis

  19. baylinorcrush says:

    Wow, I didn’t see that coming…

  20. Big D 44 says:

There we go sndvl. I say 28-24 Denver win. Man, it sure was nice to see Bay Bay out there tearing it up. McD appears to have done much better in this years draft then he did in 2009. I agree with your evaluation of the game baylin. We still have areas to improve but I believe we can fix our problem areas.

  21. brian_schneider says:

    Nice..nice…nice!

Still a little concerned about our kicking coverage. Only got to watch highlights so I don’t know too much about the game other than the stats and stuff. Love the flea flicker or gator throwback or whatever you call it…awesome call. Thomas…welcome to the NFL…and I made the mistake of having him on the bench….stupid me.
Indy, gotta be ready to cut ‘em down.

    Go Broncos!!!!

hey baylinorcrush, what does the pick list look like, who was the closest?

  22. broncosfreak30 says:

Well Bay, I understand that the Colts pass D will be hard to overcome but you have to look at it this way. We played them last year and passed so well against their defense that Marshall got a new NFL reception record in a game!! The colts defense and players and coaches are all still the same from last year so that film will provide great help!!

We have to get to Manning though. We couldn’t ever get to Hasselbeck and if we give all of that time to Manning then I don’t even want to think of what could happen!! Also, we about came back and beat Indy at their home last year!! I think we only lost by 3-4 I believe! You have to look at it to because they really do not have much with video to help them out against us! Orton is much improved and plays like a true leader of his offense, we have Royal who switched over into the slot which he wasn’t in that position last year, we have Bay Bay who is a incredible weapon that gets open and runs routes good who we didn’t have last year!!!

All of this is going to hurt Indy when they play against us on Sunday, I believe! As long as our corners are good to go with Champ and Goody and everyone I think we could have a great game at home. I think our home crowd is just what we need to win this game. Indy dominated New York last night in front of a loud home crowd. Our fans at the game will be a huge factor in this game as well!!!

Peyton is still having issues with the referees getting into position and being ready to snap the ball. He had some issues with that last night that I saw and he did a lot in Houston!

It’s going to be a good close game but I really think that we got enough motivation this week and that we win a huge one at home 27-24 Broncos!!

You got to look at all of those good teams that we beat early in the season last year! We have only improved greatly since then so I definitely think we will come out on top!!!

I love me some Broncos Country!!

  23. baylinorcrush says:

Brian, go to “older comments” page on this blog, and look at last evening 7:24pm post, the results are there and for the first time ever here a blogger got it right, wild horses with 31-14!!!! King for the week, that’s for sure.

  24. bronco-blaze says:

    38-31 Denver

  25. baylinorcrush says:

Freak30, lots of good points but like I said earlier, it’s too early for me to get into the Colts now, I will have plenty of time to get back to it later this week, now I’m just enjoying the moment, and it’s more pleasurable than to think about the Colts quite yet.

  26. baylinorcrush says:

1-1, unfortunately no one in our division at 0-2, but KC at 2-0… Weird start.

  27. bronco-blaze says:

Im waiting for the press conference, and all i hear is people talking about salsa and brady quinn.. -.-

  28. baylinorcrush says:

Don’t get me started on Quinn again, two games, two weeks inactive, what a waste of a roster spot, arrrgghhh!!!

  29. Broncfalls says:

Great win yesterday guys! CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF YOU! Also, I wanted to throw out a little love to the GREAT fans in Denver! I live in Northwestern Illinois so I watch my Broncos at the local pub! :) There were several times that T.V. camera was shaking. It reminded me of the good ol’ days! It was always a staple of Denver. Commentators would often say this place rocks so much it shakes the television cameras! As a viewer, my television I was watching was a shaken at times! Great to see the fans were getting into the game and showing much support! Thanks Denverians! :)

Lastly, I wanted to give some more praise to Orton. Nobody knows how this season will turn out. Despite all the early predictions, no one can deny the leadership Kyle has brought to this team this year. He seems in such control out there it’s amazing. He is playing at such a high level right now! Kyle it’s great to see you perform like you have! Keep up the great work and rally those boys to another victory come Sunday!

    GO GET EM’ BOYS!

  30. florio's_mom says:

Total execution yesterday except for two things:

    Zero Pressure on Hasselbeck

    Crappy ST again.

    Besides that: WOW! NICE WIN!

  31. strandoftds says:

Nice win for the Boys. Bay Bay looked good, and he`s only gonna get better. Still concerned about our ST, but that is fixable. My major concern is our pass rush and corners at times are not turning around for the ball when it is in the air. It`s prabably not as easy as it sounds. We have one of the top corner, safety tandems in the NFL, so it should only get better. I`d sure like to see Syd`Qaun and Willis on the field. There time will come and hopefully soon. Man, I`m pumped.

  32. marshisboss says:

Well my girlfriend had her baby shower yesterday and i had to go but when i got to the place where it was there was a tv in another room and i had it on the game and she came in and said i have been looking all over for you who is playing and i said denver she said see you again after the game i said thanks. And to think she is a colts fan we just have to beat them next week i did not hear the end of it last year when they beat us. If we keep improving from here we will challenge everyone we play.

  33. 1nOnlyTRB says:

I think i might have stopped watching the game before perrish cox int. I liked what I saw, just more effort from everyone on all their plays. Good things and bad things like McD will say. Still holding strong to my 7-9 prediction but we looked like a team that can compete. I liked the trickeration play (less predictable McD) and I liked that Moreno was moving faster, his acceleration was back

I think we will lose to the colts but that still cant bring me to predict a loss. We’ve been losing to the colts for as long as i can remember and last year when he who shall not be mentioned made history on them, we still couldnt win. Will take another break out game from some one and a great team effort to pull it off. The funny thing is we torched them last year in the pass. Marshall was catching balls left and right but Andre Johnson was shutdown this year. I am shocked that thier pass D has gotten so good in a short time. Last year we did however pick off Manning 3 times. Anyway, i believe we will lose but ill say broncos win 34-24. We are gonna have our hands full with Dallas Clark once again cuz we cant cover TEs. I shall be playing him in my fantasy LOL.

DT did good. a valiant effort for a rookie, against a weak pass D (run D was their strength). Kid has alot to learn and a long way to go but for me to tell people to not get too excited would be wrong. I believe he will get there eventually and with any luck, altho brandon lloyd is is our deep target, Bay Bay might replace him towards the end of the year, thereby sending lloyd to second string. any way, good game broncos, good game rook, those hurt heal up, looking forward to next weeks game. go broncos. TRB out….

  34. danso says:

Fun game and nice to get the victory and see all the good things that happened. I’m impressed with the offensive line considering we had one starter from last year playing this week end. They may not be great but did protect Orton and are getting some good experience to help backup our two injured starters when they come back. And what a nice start for Thomas. I think we will continue to get better and do some great things this year. The next four game stretch will be the challenge of the year and no one can expect we win all four but I think we can snag one or two of the next four and if we do we go on to that 10-6 or 11-5 record. Sunday I hope for a 30-27 Bronco win. Go TEAM Broncos!

  35. BeastFromEast92 says:

Great game(although I didn’t get to watch it)glad to see Bay Bay and Royal steppin’ it up,Orton gets a Mile High Salute!!!!!and great game for Moreno we need a RB catching passes, and 3 ints are always a major plus, way to go DBs.Dline still needs help, hopefully next years draft McD will finally figure out we need talented youth on the Dline,LB play needs to get better also.I think I’ll agree with Baylin by saying we should trade a CB or a WR and try to get Jacobs,we could use a monster like him up the middle.I’ll wait and see who is projected to play Sunday before I predict the score,if Champ and Goody are out Peyton could be lickin’ his chops, but we’ll see.GO BRONCS!!!!!!!!!

    BFE

  36. footballMANIAC says:

THAT WAS AMAZING!!!!!! The games are even better when you’re there! I was in the south endzone, 39 rows up. I saw Champ sky out for his interception. I saw Buckhalter and Moreno’s TD runs. It was really hot, too. About 30-40 degrees higher than here in Montana. I love Denver. It’s an awesome city. As far as analyzing the game goes, I loved the spread among the receivers. That’s good. I wish Moreno ran with more power. He’s good at avoiding tackles, but not at breaking them. I think acquiring Jacobs would be an excellent idea, although I doubt he’d be pleased with his role on the team. I hate to say it, but Buckhalter looks like he may have used up what was left in his tank last year. Maybe he’ll improve with time, but if he doesn’t I’d like to see a younger RB get more playing time. Our D-line has a long way to go still, and our LBs could do better do. The fact that Dawkins had the most tackles on the team tells me that the Seahawks got to the second level too much. The defense needs to tackle better, too. Britton Colquitt’s punting was great. I don’t like McDaniels’ playcalling in the redzone. It’s like he suddenly becomes completely unwilling to take a downfield shot (not that he does that often anyway, but in the redzone it’s even worse). And running up the middle doesn’t work very well with our RBs. Overall, a great performance, but there is still a lot that could be done better.

  37. 1nOnlyTRB says:

    MANIAC

I look forward to my first game in denver. Would also like Jacobs but i doubt he wants to be part of a commitee which is what it looks like we are forming over here. Bucky is used up as well. I believe this is his last season with us. But with the Aquisition of Maroney, excatly what are we going to offer? our picks are pretty precious and we already lost one. I think its too late to talk Brandon Jacobs. Only way Jacobs plays for us is if he is getting close to the same amount of carries as moreno. We talking Moreno 25, Jacobs 20. But with Buck and Moreno, just too much going on in our backfield.

  38. Greatness007 says:

Excuse the earlier typos. Bay McD ran the ball 35 times. It’s a priorty that he wants improved. I know team that would have just stopped doing it no matter if they were up. IE the Colts, Saints, and Cowboys. We just seem to fumble or have a break down in the line. I would get frustrated too and throw like he does sometimes. It will pick up once our line is complete. Especially Hocstein getting pushed back every run play.

  39. royalbroncofan1 says:

Great game yesterday!! …was there as well in NW corner of the stadium!!
The excitement and electricity could be felt in the air!! Had a great time at the Broncos Barn…pre-game fesitvities!!

Kyle Orton did an awesome job of running the Offense yesterday. Way to go KO!! Great to see Moreno run with so much heart, on the the flare pass, when he took it for 45 yds! Keep up the great effort Moreno!!
    J.D Walton is a beast a Center!

My man Eddie had a great game! Way to go Eddie Royal!!
I’m sure he loved the chants of “EDDIE, EDDIE”!!!

Great to see our D gets some turnovers to stop a few Seahawk drives. Wayt to Bailey, Dawk, and Cox!!
Jarvis Moss recorded his first sack of the year.

Oh man, when Coach McD brought in Demaryious, fans went crazy!! What a debut for Thomas! He sure got everyone on their feet with his first catch on the WR screen! Boy- is he gonna be an exciting player to watch!
As Coach McD said in his postgame last night, ” a limited menu as far the route running”, but like I said a few weeks ago, just a few routes to contribute to the TEAM effort is all we need, which is what he did yesterday. He made a great move on the ‘hawks DB who fell flat on his face, and Demaryious caught his first TD right in front of us in the NW corner !! I’m still pumped from the game action and of course very hoarse…lol. I know it was only our first home game, but it was great win!!

    GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!

lol @ limited route running. McD said he was limited in the plays not in a roll in the game plan. He did not have to be out their 65 plays. We have some many weapons at WR. Not cuz he can’t run certain routes. WOW

Thanks for the clarification Greatness007. Listened to it yesterday evening after getting home from the stadium. To exhausted to focus…Lol.

There was some conversation in reference to Thomas not knowing his route tree, with bay and a couple others bloggers. Don’t recall you chiming on on that conversation.

Thanks bay for keeping track and posting the results of all the predictions.

yes, the talk was that he never really ran routes in college, so as far asa adapting to the NFL, he was already a big farther behind than a regular wr who ran routes in college. Ergo his route running was his greatest hill to over come…

Thomas lookes great. Orton looked great. Orton will have to play great all the time cuz we can’t run the ball. Jets were #1 rushing ly (zone blocking). Atlanta was #1 rushing 2yrs ago (zone blocking)Look at Houston last week (zone blocking) get the idea.
