Still can’t figure out why Fox opted for a FB, Gronk has been used only about 5% of the time all year…. at least they use him on ST.

Kuper back playing nearly 100 % of the game + Ramirez on the sideline = WIN!

This is the only way I would of noticed DT Unrein came in for one play on O!

Looks like Bruton can get off the ST and that’s a shame, wish he could contribute on D, he should have by now, good guy, good player, maybe he’ll do that on another team some day.

And Ayers is the one I thought would become something good for us, unfortunately none of that has really panned out. Maybe he is another one of the “bad years past” player whom we should move on without. Moreno and Ayers out would definitely put an exclamation exit point on the first draft of the McD error.

Oh Yeah cat that is just not fair! Well and at the bottom Adam picks Cinci over us as upset of the week is he crazy?

  3. tlcat06 says:

    I think Adam is bipolar.

  4. RH709 says:

Bay, I’m with you about Gronk. I thought that when he made the roster. Manning almost never uses a 2 back set and on the rare occasion he does, why not use Virgil Green or, as displayed against NO, use Unrien. Gronk is more of a wasted roster spot than Knowgo.

  5. tlcat06 says:

Haha… Using Unrein on offense was seriously genius and I hope they do it again!!!

  6. RH709 says:

It would be nice to see Bruton do more than special teams but it doesn’t bother me much. He is one hell of a ST guy and I love having him for that.

  7. RH709 says:

I’m impressed at how much playing time Trvethan got. Good for him. Denver played a lot of dime and nickle since its obvious that NO is going to pass and has very little run game. Danny played very well. I’m impressed.

  8. RH709 says:

I don’t trust must of the espn guys. I don’t think they are very good at all.
Jon Gruden may be the only exception. He knows his football stuff but listening to him is exhausting sometimes.

  9. baylinorcrush says:

Sounds as if Del Rio is not fully enamored with Trevathan yet but I agree that he has made some great plays:

    • LB Danny Trevathan — Trevathan got his most work on defense of the season with 26 snaps to go with 12 more on special teams. He finished with three tackles in the game and knocked down one pass as the Broncos used him, along with Wesley Woodyard, in the two linebacker spots in the nickel package and the rookie often found himself locked up on Saints’ tight end Jimmy Graham. Defensive Jack Del Rio said: “He did OK, some things that were really good, some things we want him to be better at. He made a couple big plays in the game for us and he’s done a nice job for us in the sub package.”

Del Rio definitely is a tough love kind of guy and I think a D needs that, and it’s a good balance with the easy going good nature of Fox.

  10. baylinorcrush says:

Hillman making his mark in a hurry, he had runs of 31 and 24 yards in the Saints game, which tied him with Willis McGahee for both the longest and second-longest rushing plays of the season.

  11. baylinorcrush says:

We better hope Koppen doesn’t go down, after JD Walton Center Philip Blake suffered a season-ending thumb injury in practice last week and has been placed on injured reserve too.

  12. RH709 says:

You are right about JDR. His compliments are balanced by some critisms. A sixth round pick only 7 games into his NFL career did an oustanding job covering one of the NFL’s better TEs. So what if Graham was hurt, Trevathan did his job and is contributing very early in his career. Of course he still has things to work on, with JDR guiding the way, he will do great.

  13. brian_schneider says:

I do believe there were some of us previously chatting about the lack of offensive line depth. I think the lack of depth is evident…again!

  14. baylinorcrush says:

This could be a good move for the future at a thin position:

S Blake Gideon is currently working on the Broncos’ practice squad. Gideon started 52 consecutive games at Texas, second in school history, and the Texas D was no slouch in his days.

I hope we hold on to him, the four-year starter made 276 tackles and 10 interceptions while starting all 52 games Texas played since his arrival in 2008. Gideon is a coach’s son from Leander, Texas, the same zip code my little town is under since we are considered too little by the P.O. to have our own, a neighbor basically. Gideon might become my boy II, LOL.

  15. baylinorcrush says:

CJ Davis is our only back up center now, not exactly reassuring since I bet no one knew his name here but his mother, or Pittsburgh college fans, haha.

  16. Royalbroncofan1 says:

David Bruton contnues to play well on ST. Looked like he came close to blocking another punt vs Saints.
Agree with you bay, not sure why he’ not getting more reps on D. He played well overall in playoffs last year, especially vs. Steelers at home, where I believe he led the Team in tackles that evening. He is a class act.

  17. RH709 says:

I thought Walton was on one of those could return later IR things?

  18. Royalbroncofan1 says:

Manny Ramirez also took reps at Center position during camp this year.

  19. baylinorcrush says:

Don’t believe so, IR for the season as far as I know.

Bruton the brute, love the guy, but sometimes no matter how great the coaching, there can be personality issues, let’s hope it’s not one of those for Bruton’s sake. One of those that comes to mind is McD/Peyton Hillis.

  20. baylinorcrush says:

Ok, I gotta get off before this feels too much like work….
