Broncos vs. Rams: Pregame Blog

November 28th, 2010 - 1:47pm by Gray Caldwell

Hope everyone enjoyed the Thanksgiving weekend. I feel like I don’t want to even look at turkey for a whole year.

Here we are at INVESCO Field at Mile High, where players from both teams are on the field warming up for the Week 12 matchup between the Broncos and Rams.

The Broncos will wear their all-blue uniform — blue pants and blue jersey — for the first time this season. It looks like Ryan Harris, Perrish Cox, Brandon Lloyd, Jabar Gaffney Tim Tebow and Britton Colquitt are among the Broncos warming up on a chilly day. And there’s Robert Ayers, stretching with his headphones on and going through his warmups.

12:55 p.m. MST: Here are the inactives for today’s game. Andre’ Goodman, Laurence Maroney, Darcel McBath, Stanley Daniels, Eric Olsen, Demaryius Thomas and David Veikune will not suit up for the contest. Brady Quinn is listed as the third quarterback.

For the Rams, SS Michael Lewisers, CB Kevin Dockery, CB Quincy Butler, FB Mike Karney, G John Greco, TE Derek Schouman, DE Eugene Sims and DT Jermelle Cudjo are inactive.

1:08 p.m. MST: The only players on the field at the moment are the Broncos specialists — Lonie Paxton, Matt Prater and Colquitt. Meanwhile the NFL RedZone channel is on the giant Thundervision screen, and there are some good early games going.

1:18 p.m. MST: The returners have made their way onto the field in full blue uniforms. Eric Decker, Cassius Vaughn, Spencer Larsen and Cox are taking turns fielding Prater kickoffs. Meanwhile a handful of Rams are making their way onto the field dressed in all white.

Here are some photos from the field, courtesy of Gabe Hiatt:

1:43 p.m. MST: Both teams are out running through drills on opposite ends of the field. Robert Ayers is in full uniform and pads in a huddle with the rest of the linebackers, so it looks safe to say he will return to the field for the first time since Week 5 against the Baltimore Ravens. D.J. Williams, who was listed as questionable for the game, is in full uniform as well.

2:00 p.m. MST: The Thunderstorm Jumpers just parachuted into INVESCO Field at Mile High, and we’re about 15 minutes away from kickoff. The National Anthem will be sung shortly. See you in the First Half Blog.

Did anyoen else see Andre johnson beat the stuffing out of finnegan. LMAO…now im not one to resort to violence but cortland finnegan is dirty and this has been a LONG time coming. Andre Johnson is one of the most respected players in the league. Not only cuz he is argueably the best WR but because he is Mild Mannered and always has his head on straight. That is rare for an NFL player, especially a WR. I hope they factor that and the fact that finnegan is known to be dirty when they deal out punishments. But it was worth it to see lol
