VA,
You know what. I have to apologize. There's a saying that you hate most iin others what you see in yourself. Your posts have been infuriating to me for awhile. Someone gets on there and tries to say something positive and you counter them with facts that support the negative. And after taking a hard look at things, that's exactly what I've been doing. The only difference is someone says something negative and I end up countering them with facts that support the positive.
I didn't understand why Baylin kept telling me to cool down or saying that I was "overkill" with my arguments. What I said to you was out of line VA, aside from that I've only spent my brief time on this blog doing what you do: forming fact-based counter arguments. Sometimes Baylin felt like he was being dissected and I felt like I was just having fun. Now I understand where he's coming from. I innacurately pegged you as hostile just because you'd mention another poster as you made a legitimate counterpoint, and I made further mistakes countering your "hostility" with actual hostility. It was childish, and I can't aplogize enough. I understand that flying off the handle like I did discredits any good arguments I make.
I didn't sign up for this to make enemies or be the blog police. I got on here to have fun and engage in discussion with my fellow Bronco fans (and yes that does mean arguing sometimes, I just have to go about it respectfully like you've always done, VA). I apologize to you, Baylin, and all the posters who've been doing this for awhile for my disrespect in that 12:13 post. It will not happen again.

playing by my rules huh...well if you look at my post I said let me retort to the poster....I then went back and continued my dialogue, and I clearly said I was not calling him out, but I was ambiguous in my reference and I as a man wanted to be clear. I never personally attacked him his knowledge or his opinion. I just countered his arguement. That is all. Furthermore, if he had a problem, he should have said something, you are not the official blog police.

VA,
That wasn't any more of a personal shot at you than your post to StevenCan2

VA: " let me be clear…that was mostly for Stevecan2….not to call you out…but... I just did"

Baylin,
I really think you ignore MOST of the positive stuff I say to you. If you didn't you'd realize it's probably 50/50 as far as arguing or agreeing goes. I just call it exactly like I see it. And you direct statements at other posters as well. You try to make it more general, but it's still the exact same thing. The VA post was me playing by VA's rules and if that's the most disgruntled I ever get then I won't be losing any sleep at night.

va, that's just how B&R rolls, he has done it in the past with me all the time, I've tried to bring up his nasty ways of going at things personally many times but to no avail, so I just let it roll off my back. Once a while he does try to be nice with me though, you can tell it takes a real effort, if you don't like McD he doesn't like you, that's it, all hot under the collar. Glad you are speaking your mind va, we need you here more often, I can use all the help I can get, LOL.

BBR let me first start by saying your opinion of me means as much to me as the game the Broncos played Sunday. I am entitled to my opinion...if it hurts you, it's probably because it is true. I have and currently do play and coach football. HAve since I was 5. But I even talk to people who have not or have no clue to the inner workings of the game that know how this team has been decimated, how McD is not preparing this team for victory, and how for the most part, a talented team has been destroyed. You ask that I stop "pretending" to know what it takes to be an NFL coach, I am asking that McD do the same thing. Sure McD didn't fumble, or throw the interception, but he placed all the pieces there that did. He may not have lit the match, but he sure did pour gasoline on the building and leave a blowtorch burning near it. Players were ill prepared. Thomas played in an option system in GT for four years, you know how many carries he got...I'll give you a hint ZERO. You know how often he returned kicks? Uhhhh NEVER. but suddenly, the coach, who of course I have no idea of being, decides it is a good idea to place him in those positions in the NFL. Suddenly this team, can not stop anyone, cannot pressure anyone and cannot score. If your company is going bankrupt and the management team does nothing to turn it around, who gets the blame. Especially when you FIRED all of your TOP PERFORMERS to bring in guys who will work in your "system". The game on Sunday was a result of the systematic destruction of this team perpetuated by McD and Xanders. There is no need for me to have been a coach to know that 4-13 in your last 17 games, does not show that your team is improving, it shows quite the opposite. Being demolished at home by 45 does not mandate me being a NFL to see that there is a problem. Any CASUAL observer of the game can see that there is a philosophical and physical problem with the Broncos. Who is responsible for the teams philosophies both offensive and defensive. who is responsible for the physical preparedness of the team? Why does it make sense, on a team already torn apart by inuries, to expose your starters to further injury in a game you clearly were not going to win? Does that take knowledge as a NFL coach to determine? What knowledge as a head coach did McD have? This on-the-job training is unfair to each of the fans, season ticket holders and anyone in this economy who spends their money to support this team. Sir, I have coached on EVERY level but professional and admit that the only reason I haven't coached on that level is because of life circumstances. SO please do not test my knowledge of the game. You can disagree, and I respect that, but to take personal shots, makes you look as foolish as McD and HIS team.

BBR

You are saying the same thing. McDaniels put the team together, chose the same players that fail, coached and "prepared" the same players that screwed up, hired the staff HE trusted.... I could go on but u get the point...It starts from the top and yes drafts and trades have alot to do with not having the Key players we need IMO. What happened yesterday should NEVER happen to a proffesional team and its up to the coach to make sure it doesn't, plain and simple.

I hear ya loud and clear VA and agree with u....

That crap was so horrible i didnt finish the game (if u can call it down). Point blank, the team paniced and didnt know what to do after the 21-0 start in first 5 mins, they just looked unprepared for the worst and it was very ugly. I will However say it was a FLUKE game. How bad we played and how good the raiders looked. That doesnt change the fact that it still happened but we all know the raiders are not that good. We are just inconsistent and pretty much gave up. It was around this time last year we started to fall remember, after 6-0....well yesterday was the 7th game and we looked figured out like last year. I agree with VA about McDs rookie draft. Shanny woulda done better because he understood that all that was REALLY BAD was the defense. Ive always said it, whether people liked to believe it, there was always alot of Shanny guys and McD guys going on. He did't want to win with what he inherited, he just rather win with what he could take full credit for was the way I always saw it. Yesterday was pathetic, I have never seen such a ridiculous spectacle in my life, people should be fired because of yesterday alone. All I can say is START TEBOW. Why? Cuz I truly believe this season is LOST and if he is to be the future he needs game experience and if it doesnt look good at least we know what we have going into next year. I pretty much turned off the tv when I saw Orton come back in the second half. Everyone knows I think Marshall is the best thing since sliced bread and he should never have been traded. I agree that our recievers are not feared, they only put up those numbers because we couldn't run and because of the system. I do however believe Thomas WILL be good IF HE ONLY FOCUSES ON BEING A WR...that KR sh*t makes no sense when u have other talented and fast rookies that can do the same thing. Last year we knew we should dedicate draft to D ... we didn't this year we wanted to focus more on Oline (especially LG/C) and front 7 (because we didnt the previous year) and instead of going for the best, we went for, should be good enough.....

VA,
I was at the game yesterday. It was my long overdue first time at a game. I could've stomached a loss, but losing like THAT was one of the cruelest twists of fate I have ever experienced. That being said, I still have the clarity to understand that one person doesn't lose a game that badly. It takes everybody doing their jobs as poorly as they can. Sure the responsibility should rest on McDaniels, Orton and the leaders on defense, and it does. If McDaniels loses his job, and we bring in someone who can give us more success, I’m all for it. But the likely scenario is that another guy will come in, not go to the playoffs his first year and you all will be calling for his head, just like you’ve been doing since the end of last season.
All I ask of you is to stop pretending that you understand what it takes to be an NFL coach. I could really care less what experience you have playing or coaching little league or whatever it is that you think makes you qualified. If critics can say that Tim Tebow, arguably the best player in college history, can’t transfer his skills to the NFL, that should illustrate how different a game it is at that level. If you honestly think you can pin that beat down solely on one man, then you are sadly mistaken and it makes me wonder if you’ve ever even played a team sport. I’m not defending McDaniels here. By his own admission he did about as terrible a job as a coach can do. But he didn’t fumble the ball twice or throw any interceptions. The TEAM lost, and it has little to do with draft, trades or any of that. The worst teams in the NFL don’t even lose that bad. What happened was a meltdown, plain and simple. I’m thoroughly disgusted by it. The city of Denver doesn’t deserve a game like that taking place in our stadium. I’m just saying you’re not a NFL coach, and you’ll never know what it’s like to coach a team to victory in the NFL. Your two cents is worth far less, based on what you wrote today.

I’m just saying you’re not a NFL coach, and you’ll never know what it’s like to coach a team to victory in the NFL. Your two cents is worth far less, based on what you wrote today.
