Q3 – 15:00: After deferring to the second half on the opening coin toss, the Patriots will get the first second-half possession.
Q3 – 14:54: Matt Prater’s kickoff is taken by Julian Edelman at the 3-yard line. He returns it 23 yards to the 26-yard line, and that’s where the Patriots will take over.
Q3 – 14:48: Tom Brady looked for Wes Welker in 1-on-1 coverage against Champ Bailey. The ball was tipped into Bailey’s arms, but he couldn’t corral the catch. Brady finds a cutting Ben Watson on second down, who is dragged down by Andra Davis after a 6-yard gain. Brady lines up in the shotgun on third down, and finds Randy Moss streaking toward the right sideline. The ball goes off Moss’ fingertips and he is shoved out of bounds by Brian Dawkins. Chris Hanson is in to punt.
Q3 – 13:54: Eddie Royal calls for a fair catch at his own 28-yard line. The Broncos will take over at that spot.
Q3 – 12:58: Lining up with two tight ends, Kyle Orton hands off to Knowshon Moreno for a 2-yard gain. Moreno lines up in the wildcat on second down, before Orton comes back behind center. He goes play action and finds Tony Scheffler on a slant left for 12 yards and a first down.
Q3 – 12:03: With lots of time to throw, but good coverage from the Patriots, Orton finds Moreno on a 5-yard dump off over the middle. Moreno comes back on second down, running up the middle for a first down. But offsetting penalties — holding by Chris Kuper and 12 men on the field by the Patriots — cause a replay of the down. Orton comes back to find Daniel Graham over the middle. He fights past one defender before Shawn Springs brings him down. The 10-yard gain gives the Broncos a first down in Boston territory.
Q3 – 10:39: Brandon Marshall takes a double reverse around the left side, picking up six yards on first down. Orton goes play action on second down, firing incomplete to Scheffler. Offsetting holding penalties by Daniel Graham and Brandon McGowan cause a replay of second down.
Q3 – 10:34: Moreno takes the first down carry, drawing another yellow flag from the officials. A holding penalty on Ben Hamilton backs the Broncos up into a 2nd and 13 from the Boston 47-yard line.
Q3 – 9:33: After an incomplete pass to Royal, Orton was backed into a third and long. He fired over the middle of the field, where his pass was tipped by two Patriots. But Jabar Gaffney found a free patch of space and corralled it for 14 yards and a first down.
Q3 – 9:02: With a new set of downs, Orton found Graham rumbling downfield. He stiffarms Brandon Meriweather for an 18-yard gain and a first down at the Boston 15-yard line.
Q3 – 8:18: Moreno lines up in the wildcat on first down, bursting upfield into a Patriot pile for two yards. Orton comes back on second down with a quick slant to Royal, who lunges toward the first-down marker. The officials give him a favorable spot, but he is still a chain link short.
Q3 – 7:22: Facing 3rd and 1 from the Patriots’ 6-yard line, the Broncos come out in a four wide set. Orton hands to Moreno, but Vince Wilfork grabs him by the ankles for no gain. Prater comes in to attempt a 24-yard field goal and hits it. Patriots 17, Broncos 10
Q3 – 7:12: Edelman returns Prater’s kickoff for 32 yards. The Patriots will start at their own 34-yard line.
Q3 – 6:05: With three wide and Maroney as the lone setback, Brady goes to his back, who picks up five yards on first down. Back in the pocket on second down, Brady goes play action to Maroney and finds Randy Moss for a 36 yard reception. Brian Dawkins is called for illegal contact, but the penalty is declined, setting up 1st and 10 for the Patriots at the Broncos’ 25-yard line.
Q3 – 5:20: After a 3-yard gain by Maroney on first down, his wide receiver screen to Sammy Morris went incomplete. With a third-and-long from the 22-yard line, Brady went to Welker, but the low throw hit the turf. Stephen Gostkowski is on to attempt a 39-yard field goal.
Q3 – 5:15: Gostkowski’s attempt flies wide left, edging the tip of the red flag on the top of the post. The Broncos will take over on downs at their own 30-yard line.
Q3 – 4:09: Sporting three wide receivers on first down, Orton’s pass for Jabar Gaffney is broken up by Leigh Bodden. Working out of the shotgun on second down, Orton takes a three step drop and finds Graham over the middle for a six-yard gain. With four wide on third down and Moreno in as a lone setback, Orton completes to Gaffney on a quick out for six yards and a first down.
Q3 – 3:45: With LaMont Jordan lined up in the wildcat, Orton comes back under center and finds Tony Scheffler in the flat for 12 yards and another first down.
Q3 – 1:23: In Boston territory at the 46-yard line, Jordan picks up four yards on a first-down handoff. He cuts off right guard on second down, leaning forward for another three yards. Moreno comes back in on third down for the handoff, but he is stopped short by Tully Banta-Cain. The three-yard loss brings in Brett Kern to punt. His kick is downed by Darcel McBath at the 4-yard line, and Boston will take over from that spot.
Q3 – 0:31: Brady comes out in the shotgun, and looks for Randy Moss in the left slot. His throw goes long, and is incomplete. Again out of the shotgun, Brady fires right for a wide receiver screen to Wes Welker. Brian Dawkins sniffs it out, holding him to a six-yard gain. Back in the pocket, Brady looks for Welker over the middle but fires incomplete, with Renaldo Hill in coverage. Chris Hanson is in to punt.
Q3 – 0:00: Darrell Reid is called for running into the kicker, resulting in a Patriots first down. Brady hands to Sammy Morris on first down from his 15-yard line, resulting in no gain and the end of the third quarter.
FOURTH QUARTER
Q4 – 15:00: The two teams switch ends, with Brady sporting five wide receivers out of the shotgun. He hits Welker over the middle of the field, who weaves between D.J. and Jack Williams for a 12-yard gain and Patriots first down.
Q4 – 12:50: Boston’s starting left tackle, Matt Light, is helped off the field with an injury. He is replaced by Sebastian Vollmer. Brady gives a draw to Kevin Faulk, who is tripped up by D.J. Williams after a 4-yard gain. Sammy Morris takes a sweep right, before being stopped by Vonnie Holliday. The 3-yard gain sets up 3rd and 3 from the 33-yard line. Brady gives the draw to Faulk, but a team of Holliday, Elvis Dumervil and Robert Ayers stop him after a 1-yard gain. Chris Hanson comes in to punt.
Q4 – 12:30: Richard Quinn is called for a neutral-zone infraction on the punt, giving the Patriots another set of new downs.
Q4 – 10:17: A pair of Sammy Morris runs combine for 10 yards, giving Boston another first down near midfield. Morris takes another carry, but is stopped after a short gain by Brian Dawkins. Facing 2nd and 7, Brady lines up in the shotgun with trips right. He has tons of time to throw and goes for the end zone, but Dawkins breaks it up. With an important third down upcoming, Boston burns its first timeout of the second half.
Q4 – 10:10: Brady looks for Welker, but Champ Bailey tips it up in the air. The ball goes off Welker, then off Bailey, before hitting the turf. Hanson is in to punt.
Q4 – 9:59: Boston WR Matthew Slater pins the Broncos deep at their own 2-yard line. Two Boston injury updates: T Matt Light (knee) is questionable to return and TE Ben Watson (head) is questionable to return.
Q4 – 9:35: From near the back of his own end zone, Orton fires incomplete to Knowshon Moreno in the left flat. He recovers on second down, finding a crossing Jabar Gaffney for 14 yards and a first down.
Q4 – 9:15:Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick pulls the red flag out to challenge, but the ruling was that Gaffney’s forward progress is stopped. That is not a reviewable circumstance, negating the Boston challenge.
Q4 – 8:09: Moreno takes the first down carry five yards up the middle. Facing intense pressure on second down, Orton rolls right and finds an open Eddie Royal for 11 yards and a first down.
Q4 – 7:25: Orton goes back to Royal on the ensuing play, but Boston CB Shawn Springs blankets him, resulting in an incomplete pass. Out of the shotgun on second down, Orton sets up a screen to Moreno. With blockers in front of him, the rookie rumbles 27 yards into Patriots territory at the 42-yard line.
Q4 – 6:12: Orton keeps the offense moving, finding Royal in the left flat for a 7-yard gain. On 2nd and short, he goes back to the left side, but Tully Banta-Cain bats it down at the line of scrimmage. With four wide on 3rd and short, Orton finds Royal in tight coverage on the left side for a first down at the Boston 29-yard line.
Q4 – 5:27: Moreno brings a change of pace on first down, weaving through the middle for a 7-yard run. Orton looks to Royal on the left sideline on second down, but the ball sails long. Brandon Meriweather laid a hard hit on the receiver drawing flags from the officials. Meriweather was flagged with a taunting penalty, and the half-the-distance-to-the-goal call brings the Broncos to the Boston 11-yard line.
Q4 – 5:21: Out of the pocket, Orton throws a quick slant left to Brandon Marshall. He jams the cornerback at the 4-yard line and lunges into the end zone for an 11-yard touchdown. Prater nails the extra point. Broncos 17, Patriots 17
Q4 – 5:15: Julian Edelman takes the Prater kickoff at the 6-yard line and returns it to the 21-yard line. That’s where Boston will take over.
Q4 – 4:03: With pressure coming from his blind side, Brady has enough time to execute a 4-yard screen pass to Kevin Faulk. Sammy Morris takes the draw on second down, eluding backfield pressure to pick up three yards. With a crucial 3rd down on the horizon, the Broncos burn their first timeout of the second half.
Q4 – 3:49: Lining up in the shotgun, Brady’s throw for Wes Welker was well behind him. Chris Hanson is in to punt, with chants of “Eddie” echoing from the INVESCO Field at Mile High crowd. The punt is fielded by Alphonso Smith and the Broncos will take over at their own 26-yard line.
Q4 – 3:08: After a short run by Moreno on first down, Orton completes to Jabar Gaffney in the right flat. He is pulled down after a 4-yard gain, setting up 3rd and 4 from the 32-yard line. A Patriots player is down, stopping the clock momentarily.
Q4 – 2:27: Orton looked for Gaffney over the middle of the field, but Shawn Springs broke up the pass. Brett Kern comes in to punt, and Julian Edelman fields it at the 25-yard line. He is met by Darcel McBath at the 30-yard line, where Boston will get its offense started.
Q4 – 2:00: Sammy Morris eludes an Andre’ Goodman tackle on first down, breaking up the left sideline for 19 yards and a first down near midfield. We’ve hit the two-minute warning.
Q4 – 1:37: Out of the shotgun, Brady hands to Sammy Morris who fumbles the football. It is recovered by Boston T Nick Kaczur. On the ensuing play, Vonnie Holliday forced a fumble on Brady and it was recovered by Elvis Dumervil. The Broncos offense takes over at the Patriots 45-yard line.
Q4 – 0:22: Moreno takes the carry for four yards on first down, but loses three on an ensuing reception. With 3rd and 9 from the 44-yard line, the Patriots call their second timeout.
Q4 – 0:15: With pressure coming from multiple angles, Orton is sacked for a loss of six yards. The Patriots use their third and final timeout.
Q4 – 0:00: Kern executes a beautiful end-over-end punt, which is downed by David Bruton at the Boston 5-yard line. Boston takes over from that spot, and Brady takes a knee. We’re headed for overtime.END OF REGULATION:Patriots 17, Broncos 17
OVERTIME
Coin toss: The Patriots call tails and it is heads. The Broncos have won the toss and will receive.
1OT – 15:00: Gostkowski’s kick sails out of the end zone. Denver takes over on its own 20-yard line, with Orton completing to Brandon Marshall for an 11-yard gain and a first down. He wrestled with Brandon McGowan for the ball, but the tie went to the receiver.
1OT – 14:43: Orton fires back on the next play, hitting a crossing Tony Scheffler for seven yards on the left sideline. Orton goes back to the other side of the field, finding Royal for a first down at the 43-yard line.
1OT – 13:16: Boston uses its first of two overtime time outs. Out of the break, Moreno goes off right tackle, finding running room and a 9-yard gain. Into Boston territory, Moreno tries the middle but hits a wall of Patriots and gets no gain. Orton hits Royal on a quick out, getting the inside shoulder of Shawn Springs for eight yards and a first down.
1OT – 11:30: Moreno runs around Ryan Clady, picking up 11 yards and another first down at the Patriots’ 29-yard line.
1OT – 10:24: Jordan spells Moreno, running up the gut for a 2-yard gain. Orton looks for Royal on the next play, but his feet get tangled with Springs. Facing a big third down, the Broncos use the first of their pair of overtime time outs.
1OT – 10:15: With 3rd and 8, Orton goes back at Springs but fires incomplete to Marshall. Tully Banta-Cain is offsides, moving Denver five yards forward and giving them a 3rd and short. Lined up in the shotgun, Orton goes for Marshall in the end zone, but the pass is incomplete.
1OT – 10:14: Matt Prater comes on to attempt a 41-yard field goal, but New England uses its final OT timeout to try to ice the kicker.
1OT – 10:09: Prater splits the uprights, giving the Broncos a 5-0 start. The Patriots drop to 3-2 on the season. Keep it here at DenverBroncos.com for complete postgame coverage. FINAL: BRONCOS 20, PATRIOTS 17

Hey 1stCav, good to see ya on the post brother. Take care and good luck with the boys tomorrow. They should understand what success should look like and you can’t argue with the big 5-0.
I hear ya Ashely. I believed in Orton being a great game manager but preseason had me doubting him like crazy.. He has alot of work to do but without the glove there was more zip, more accuracy. He is more comfortabe with this team and that comes with time. Great recievers help alot too lol. He still needs to stop staring down his recievers tho OMG he is lucky champ is on his team lol.
I honestly didn’t see it coming. With the track record of past Belichik disciples against the mentor, I didn’t think McDaniels could pull it off. But this team is the real deal. There is no denying now. Deion Sanders on NFL Network is already saying we will beat San Diego next Monday in San Diego. And how about Orton. If you listened to Bears fans coming into the season, you would have thought that Orton could not play. He proved to everyone today that he is a top QB. Did you see him sling it around the field today? Orton makes smart decisions and good throws. Think about it, we got the better end of that deal. Orton and Moreno for Cutler. This team is a contender. Great job guys. It has been a pleasure watching you and I can’t wait for next week.
Orton isn’t a big stats guy (excluding today haha) but he is a really good game manager and he just simply wins games…
Not the most gifted athelete or even player, but he IS intelligent…
Team is looking great! The boys need to keep playing like they’re the underdogs and fight for every down.
Whoops, my bad… just remembered I made a mistake. Said our D only let the Pats get those 17 pts in the 1st quarter… meant 1st half. This win has me goin all sorts of crazy!! I’m beside myself they’ve done so well but I’m lovin every minute of it.
TRB… I can see how it was not easy to see Orton as a strong starter for us after his preseason games but I said it first… all those INTs he threw in preseason, he got them out of the way then so he wouldn’t have them now. So far in 5 games, he’s only had one and that’s a pretty incredible stat he’s got going. After I took a much needed break from anymore news related to the Broncos after the “you know” who trade… it hit me I have no choice but to stick with this team. I just wasn’t up for all the change we had going on all at the same time. I got stuck in a comfort zone but that’s where I like McDenver taking risks. He’s got guts and he makes some bold moves, but he has to in order to get this team to progress. So after I took a break from all the drama and Orton was going to be the starter, I stuck with him and gave him the chance he deserved. He’s gutsy as well, I can see him and McD having that coach-QB relationship Elway & Shanny had. Now, that will be one heck of a duo to match, not saying these two will do that but McD has stuck with Orton and is molding him into a great quarterback. Anything is possible no matter who is in the situation.
Bottom line… Orton gets the job done. He isn’t a flashy guy like Cutler was when he was here, he’s not as popular as Brady, the Manning bros or even Romo, but you can’t argue with his results. And to further stress my belief in him, this one season alone will not define his entire future in the NFL. Every season is different, he has the ability to get better and better with each season like he has done with these 5 games. He’s already shown he’s dedicated to becoming better and he will. No matter how this season ends, if they want to stick with him, as fans we should stick by our team through thick AND thin. A little patience and faith in this team will take them a long way.
best game ever. i was so nervous. thought we would have pulled it off in the end of 4th qtr. but ill take it. whats the critics excuse now. last i heard if we beat the pats we’re for real. loving every minute critics eat your words. now what next week moday night in s.d.. half time in night game kyle orton interview wiht bob costas. thought i let you guys know. WOW. GO DENVER. GO BRONCOS.
I KNEW WE COULD WIN THIS GAME!! DEFINITELY!! I EVEN SAID THAT THEY WOULDNT SCORE MORE THAN 17 AND THEY DIDNT! I JUST DONT WANT TO HEAR ANYONE ELSE ANYMORE TALK SH*T ABOUT ORTON! THIS GUY DID AMAZING TONIGHT AGAINST ONE OF THE BEST IN THE LEAGUE…I DEFINITELY SEE MY BOY ORTON GETTING THE BEST QB PERFORMANCE OF THE WEEK..DEFINITELY MOST IMPROVED…I KNEW WITH THAT GLOVE GONE HE WOULD JUMP UP THERE!!! HOW BOUT OUR BOY MARSHALL!! CONGRATS BOYS, I AM HERE BEHIND YOU ALL THE WAY!!
WITH FAITH, GOOOO BRONCOS COUNTRY!!!
haha, thank you baylinorcrush…
I know, we were just talking about the game and what we thought it would be a couple of days ago!! I figured wed win by three, but I did tell you that I didnt think that the Pats would get more than 17 pts! Dang, how bout our boy ROYAL tonight! Havent seen anyone say anything about him yet, he had around 90 + yards!!! I love how he came out and Pats didnt cover him well bc he wasnt much of a factor in the other games!! COMPLETELY PRICELESS!!
baylinorcrush…we were about right on the money dude!
GOOOO ORANGE CRUSH BRONCOS!!!
Im not going to lie at the beginning of the year i dident think orton would shine as he did. So i will proudly eat my words and say that im glad i was wrong and Kyle really proved me wrong. Knowshon ran well but the kid needs to HOLD ON TO THE BALL. I was going nuts after the game but they had some big chances to score but thank goodness Tom miss them.Glad to see McD pumped up.
hey where is DD or Aussie..lol…havent seen a comment from them yet
oh and im very happy with the win…but i also saw things we could get better on…which makes me more happy cuz we havent reached our full potential yet…
we can beat the chargers.
we have the D to hold’em down and their D couldn’t stop a college team.
34-10 Denver Broncos.
Besides, the chargers are very one demensional now. their running game is non existant. we just have to bottle up sproles.
I’m really happy for the team. I just had a feeling this was going to be a special team. I would love to see John Clayton, and Jaime Pucks, in person I would be rubbing there face in it. I heard Jaime the other day trying to back his way out of what he been saying about the Broncos. We still have a long way to go but this game dramatically we are on our way in a big way. this team has so much heart. You can just see it in MCD the emotion. keep this up Broncos one game at a time
If we play every game the way we played today…………I dont see us losing for a while.
Another emacculate deflection in this game! This usually happens against us, I am glad to see that it is happening for us. I am humbled to say the least. I didn’t buy into mcd and I am now eating crow for all the bad things I had to say. I always had faith in the broncos however and I predicted a 10-6 season form the get go. I am hoping for a 16 and 0 or a 15-1 and I would love to see McD hoist that Lombardi and say “I’m Goin to Disneyland!” But I also do not want to get too far ahead of myself! Great job today Denver! From SoCal, ps. I will be at the game Monday!!! Go Broncos!!!!!
This team continues to play impressive football. I am so looking forward to the chargers game now that it appears the Broncos can compete with them.Hopefully they can shut phillip(cry me a) rivers mouth for once.
How bout em Broncos? Everyone doubted us, even some of the fans here in denver had some doubt, but today is a glorious day for bronco fans everywhere. Today in everyones eyes we are for “REAL”, all doubt is gone and we are the team to beat. What i love the most is the TEAM won today, and the humility in the locker room. And Furthermore Mcd has his philosophy right the most important game of the year is the next game you play. With that attitude we just may be unbeatable.
Go Broncos!
5-0 baby! the last time I saw that i was 10 yrs old, its been a long time coming!
one word – resiliency !!
GO Broncos!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1998 we were 5-0, just won a Super Bowl, I was… 14.
before the season begain i remember talking to my dad because he was upset by the cry baby cutler trade i told just like i told everyone else kyle orton is a good qb he didint by it but he does now go broncos braby 5-0 and still have room to improve now lets go to sd and kick some f!#$ing ass!!!!!!
What an incredible game!!!! Much like a Frazier-Ali fight. Both teams punching and counterpunching hoping to land a knockout blow but neither team able to do it until the last second. McDaniels does have a major predictability problem. if it’s 3rd down and 1 or 2 yards to go, he’s going to run the ball. He’s done that every single time both pre-season and regular season. I thought for sure that he was doing it to set up the Patriots and go with play-action, but he still stuck with his run fixation. Frustrating!!!!
But on to the report card:
SPECIAL TEAMS:
Punting coverage: F- Two penalties to keep the Patriots on the field!!!
Punt return: C
Kick Coverage: C- Patriots got it past he 25 every single time. Not one kick into the end zone. BBBBLLEEEEHHHH!!!
Kick Return: D+ Almost fumbled onr kickoff when two Broncos tried to field it at the same time.
OFFENSE:
QB: A++ Impressive improvement in accuracy and lenght of throws with the glove off.
RB: D+ Moreno needs some major helop in learning how to carry a football. Two fumbles. We were lucky that the refs blew the call on the second one.
OL: B+ No stupid penalties!!!!
DEFENSE:
DL: C+ Not a very good pass rush and when it was good, they missed tackling Brady.
LB: B Great run stop. Good pass coverage also.
SECONDARY: A- Shut down Moss and kept Welker under control.
oldsouthstander,
The ball actually was fumbled on kickoff. Jack williams luckily was there for the recovery and got us more yards. Realized u missed that one.
OOPPPSSS!
WR: A+ Orton and Brandon and Eddie are is sync!!! Brandon Stokley seems to have disappeared. I don’t recall a single pass thrown his way. Did I miss something?
I have to give it to Orton. Game well played. The D stood out for me though. How can you give Tom Terrific three straight set of downs. He come up short. When have you ever heard of that. No one really talked about that on the main media circuit. Greatness I know you gonna be on ESPN2 today. So put us further on the map. If you don’t mind. lol Big debut for you man.
All hail the Horsemen.
I am happy for the win, extremely happy that the Broncos are 5-0. I have one concern. Why is Josh McDaniels not allowing Peyton Hillis to run the football? Is he still being punished for the early year fumble? Moreno has fumbled twice in the opponents side of the field and yet still gets to carry the rock. Hillis has power, Moreno is more flash, why doesn’t Hillis get the short yardage carries, you know the ones that will get us a 1st down. Moreno has been stopped consistently on 3rd and short.
Don’t mean to be a downer after such a nice win, I just think Hillis has the talent to contribute to the team. 5-0 and one more game on the horizon. Don’t let up Broncos, San Diego a divisional opponent, beating them would be an awesome way to go into the bye week. GO BRONCOS!!!! Are you ready for some football, a monday night party!!!!!!
baylinor: I picked the game at 24-16 and also said it would be the breakout games for Orton, Royal, and Moreno. All that film study and I still don’t get respect lol……………….
Regards,
Coach
i just wanted to say that way to go kyle orton. i will admit that i was skeptical of orton… i knew he could manage a game, and of course everyone knew that he wouldnt lose games for us but yesterday he proved he can win one for us as well!! great job kyle, great job coach, great job broncos! oh, and i was a bit off on my pick, i said 17-13 denver. i also thought we would get a couple picks off of brady, moreno would get 100 yds, and doom would get 2 sack! way off. lol but again great job team. Now bring on the chargers! lets make it 6-0 for our bye!
GO BRONCOS
…. ARE WE FOR REAL NOW??…..
coachemup, you did well, but the reason you didn’t make the list, you were too far off on the spread (8 points). You did figure out their D almost perfect though, kudos to you! Come to think of it, you’re just like the Broncos, can’t get any respect… I’ll be tracking the predictions this week, who knows, you might make upper echelon then, LOL. I just wrote down florio’s mom for 34-10!!! Looks like the fans might expect a bigger spread against the Chargers.
Well, well, well, I wonder how many fans who were crucifying coach for trading Cutler and saying that the Broncos would be fighting for no 1 pick after this year have jumped on the bandwagon?
Interesting isn’t it?
Way to go Coach McD.
Congrats To the team. It was a team win.
okay so saturday night i was at wal mart and a guy all dressed up in broncos gear started talking about the game last week and had the balls to say that bailey has lost his edge and is not a top corner in the NFL. and that dallas rolled all over him! in my mind i was wondering what game he watched because what i saw was not what he said.
i want to hear some thoughts from you guys! does THE CHAMP still have it or has he lost his step?
Yea, I dont know baylinorcrush about the spread…i will have to look over everything this week and tell you what I think! May our boys have a very celabratory morning!
Vonnie Holliday said something after the game that was true but false at the same time. He said “no one outside of that broncos facility believed we could win”, I think he meant the critics because me and everyone or at least most of you before the season knew these Broncos could do it. You want proof go bact to august and look at all the comments we posted that were very encouraging.
Oh, and by the way, Preseason DOES NOT mean anything. LOL
broncofan-7…well he is not as good as when he was younger, thats for sure, but he sticks on to the guy that hes supposed to cover. If someone else gets the ball, hes there in a flash and tackles him. Hes still got that speed and those hands which is what counts. I just like it bc everyone is underestimating him due to his age and is severly getting showed up each week. Champ is by far a ball hawk and I think he has shown it especially last week and this week!
I love the smell of victory in the morning!!I have to set some of you straight however.Kyle still has the no interception streak going.Hail Mary at half end (or game end)do not count. Now I admit I’m breaking new ground statistically but the whole field evolves, they never used to keep sack totals.I know I just made a new rule for ststistics but it makes sense.
CONGRATULATIONS JMAC! and TEAM!
What a great, great effort! As most of you have said, room to improve and that’s the exciting part!
The boys are playing with so much confidence and excitement!
Kyle, boy….you do your thing kid! Sorry people but that guy had some very, very good passes!
Latly, don’t ever tell me that Kyle can’t lead a team to victory! EVER!
Now….Rivers
We’re coming for ya…….you better put an extra snap on that chin strap brother because it’s possible it could get a little loose Monday night!
GO GET EM’ BOYS!
Wow – what a game – what a game! We cheered hard for our boys and they came thru. “Wild Horses” offense worked well – what a surprise !! An emotionally draining game, but what a win!!! I woke up hoarse this morning.
) Defense was really laying the wood out there !! Holliday has two sacks in back to back games.
It seemed like a replay of last week as we fell behind 10 pts. Patriots were sucking wind a few times. Our boys are well conditioned. (Conditioning @ Red Rocks really payed off
Kyle Orton what can you say.. He was the field general out there and the 98 yd drive was awesome !!!!! As they were coming down the field on that drive, you knew he was in command. Royal made some great tight catches thrown where only he could get it. Way to go EDDIE!!!!
Brandon made a great move as he dove in for his last TD right in front of us!! Matt Prater kicked his first game winner !!
Alot of players did really well but game ball in this one goes to
QB KYLE ORTON!!!
On to San Diego !!!!
GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great game! Defense continue to play as ONE and this team will remain at that number!!! Love ya DOOOOOOOM!!!!!
Great win! This win is very sweet indeed. Very exciting game and I loved the passion that McDaniels showed on the field after the win, he was doing the same thing I was doing! He’s so young, I’m hoping he becomes the NFL’s Joe Paterno for us! I’m so impressed with our team. It’s incredible to see the faces of all the people who talked smack about the Broncos all offseason for the decisions they made and how we were going “5-11″.
I’ve heard a lot of talk about how ugly our throwbacks were with the socks, even from Tom Jackson! I don’t know about you, but I loved the throwbacks and want to see them more often. Most awesome throwbacks I’ve ever seen.
The WildHorses was just another sign that McDaniels knows how to win, GO ORANGE!!
that was quite a game. game ball should go th KO and Mac.
we now know that Royal IS part of the game plan. but when is he going to unleash HILLIS? I know that he is bring in more of the O every week but monday will be the right time for Hillis to breakout. pound the Chargers into the ground. after we beat the chargers i wonder who will be crying more RIVERS or CUTLER.
now for the bad news after the chargers game there will be NO FOOTBALL UNTIL NOVEMBER!!!!!!!
oldsouth, on the tying drive we decided to throw on 3rd and 1 for royal because of all the problems. I agree with others we need hillis to pound those things in because we cant seem to get 3 and 1.
The 98 yard drive definitely shows KO can win games for us. That was huge.
Right when we needed him he came through. It always seemed last year when we needed something cutler would throw a pick or something.
I have always believed that some people just no how to win. KO is one of those guys.
Broncos 5-0
chrgers are next i cant wait
I cant believe that we are playing this good so early. I just cant beleive it. It so exciting to see the Team come together after all the BS in the offseason. KO deserves the game ball in this game. He played lights out!!! D played exceptionally well in the 2nd half stopping there O completely. All around GREAT GAME and GREAT WIN for McD… Bring on SD. GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!!!
They played well, the first concern is the weakest link on defense which Goodman; 2 games in a row he pushes guys forward instead of tackling. He looks like he is scared to hit and teams will notice and take advantage of it. Watch for the Chargers throwing swing passes to the back at Goodman, and once he is exposed it’s a done deal for the whole defense. The play calling on offense is good when McDaniels dosen’t get conservative and get predictable. The line is still undersized and they will not overpower a defense, when the defense is off balance the Broncos can move up and down the field on anybody, they have too many weapons. If they stay healthy the team can go far, Go Broncos!!!!
Bring on Hillis!!!! Enough Said.
