First-and-10 from the New England 38 (11:20, 1st quarter): Jeremiah Johnson took his first carry of the day for a gain of 25 yards into the Patriots’ red zone. Denver capitalized two plays later when Tim Tebow powered the ball into the end zone from 9-yards out to give Denver a 6-0 lead on its first possession of the game.
Third-and-9 from the New England 21 (9:04, 1st quarter): Tom Brady stayed patient on third down and found his tight end Aaron Hernandez open over the middle. The play resulted in a 46-yard gain and sustained the Patriots’ first drive of the game, which culminated in a Brady-to-Chad Ochocinco 33-yard touchdown pass two plays later.
First-and-10 from the Denver 23 (8:37, 2nd quarter): Ron Brace stripped Lance Ball after a 2-yard gain and Rob Ninkovich recovered the loose ball at the Broncos 19-yard line. New England turned the turnover into a 21-yard field goal from Stephen Gostkowski to reclaim the lead at 17-16.
First-and-10 from the Denver 46 (5:18, 2nd quarter): Mark Anderson broke into the Broncos backfield and strip-sacked Tebow, also managing to recover the fumble. New England converted that turnover into a Brady 1-yard rushing touchdown, extending their lead to 24-16.
3rd-and-7 from the Denver 45 (10:19, 3rd quarter): With the Patriots driving into Denver territory, Quinton Carter came on a safety blitz and sacked Brady for a four-yard loss, leading to a Patriots punt.
3rd-and-8 from the 50 (5:16, 3rd quarter): After Denver had strung together three first downs, Tebow was sacked on third down by Mark Anderson for a 10-yard loss. The Broncos were forced to punt, and the Patriots took advantage with a scoring drive that culminated in a 10-yard rushing touchdown by Danny Woodhead to push New England’s advantage to 34-16.

I agree Bay, pathetic showing, but this team still has heart. I say we rebound. Prediction . . .
Broncos 24
Bills 13
Way to go orangemnm, face the reality and move on with hope of a better future.
Agreed TRB. I have just found out that he wanted the shine that other players were getting. So if he were cut then it’s ok with me. I also Agree with the Jordan rule. ( it’s not Kobe’s rule) lol You breath on the Pats. It will be a penalty. It’s one thing that stuck with me during the weak. Hunter was being interviewed and said the D needs to play like Sue. That’s a come on man if i ever heard one. They did go out and play like Sue though. Ayers with hands to the face. McBean went back to his face masking. lol We had one sure turn ova. Our ball hawked dropped the ball. Just like when mario Manningham dropped a sure TD early in the game against the Skins. It was a a telling sign things isn’t gonna go our way. I wanna see more Johnson on KR or running plays. JOhnson has a real good burst. Let Royal PR,KR, and WR. Johnson should be on that pitch play.
No matter what happens I think we can already call this season a success. I know … a riveting statement. I just don’t want to get too disappointed about the loss yesterday. I think we saw early that we could run with those guys and that is way better than what we thought at the beginning of the year.
and Kyle Orton gets the win vs Packers…lol just had to fuel someone’s fire there.
So, any chance we squeak out 1 win in the playoffs before getting our tails handed to us?
I have to ask this because I think it is obvious and glaring. Every time McBean is on the field he seems to always get a facemask penalty called on him and rightfully so because he commits them all the time. He is always committing penalties when he’s in there, seems like he’s hurting us more than helping the D. Does anyone else notice this?
See bay, I agree with orange. It WAS a pathetic showing – I just attribute a large chunk of that poor showing to the turnovers and other mental mistakes. I’m not ignoring reality; I said a few posts back that we need to focus on defense in the draft because the three games against high-profile passing attacks this year have clearly shown that. Perhaps I don’t explain myself well.
Bay, Yea 23 points on THAT D because we turned the ball over 3 times and killed our momentum … 23 points because we couldnt play our smash mouth football and had to start passing to compensate for the points we gave up on turnovers. Once we stopped running, playign our game that got us our lead and havign to pass, they put the pressure on, like any smart coach will do. As hyrule says, just reaffirmed why we need more defense. I think the team has their perspective right .. one game at a time, not talkign playoffs, SB or Next years QB. Its the fans talking SB, who theyd rather play in the playoffs, and why Tebow is not named QB yet (and the media). Point is im not worried. But I respect your opinion bays, just that condescending thing peek its head out again lol. Just saying. TRB
Pats are not that weak. They are 11-3 with that one man gang. lol That one man gang played there best game of the season against us. That should say something good about us. Just saying!!!!!1
Orange I hope we do get a win in the first round ’cause I wanna see the Pats again….I think we beat them then.
Schneider … Sounds like we need a new first round DT to me lol. TRB
I think the reality is that while Tebow can do some pretty amazing things to win games he still needs a ground game, defense and special teams to help him win. Which is totally fine and I believe in complimentary football. Obviously he needs to improve his passing skills but he’s still seems like he could be the future.
Maybe it’s just that you are too quick to argue.
What i find soooo funny is how overjoyed people are on NFl.com … none patriot fans as well … you can tell they were worried about the broncos … (for a team they all believed to be trash and fluke) … even Brady was worried at the beginign (which was why his spike was so fired up) … people were worried … but now its easy to just say we suck and can’t beat anyone of value … I think we can … like I always say … far fromt he most talented team but we stick together. If they lose that … they will lose everything. TRB
Before I go let me leave with this. WE WILL SEE THEM AGAIN IN THE PLAYOFFS. When that game come it will be time for a retest!!!!! We will just do the test at their house!!!
Nu-uh! lol
yup bay … that has to be it … my mistake.
TRB, take it like you dish it out, haha.
I’m not too familiar with the Bills. What are their strengths offensively?
The last one was for you TRB, the previous one for hy, posting too fast this am to be able to follow, haha.
Ahhh … thats the thing with forums … not as instant as chats for example .. hard to keep track lol.
TBR Brady spike the ball that hard was not becuz of Tebow. Before the game Brady ran down to that endzone to show the fans a real QB warm-up. The fans gave him all type of flack. So when he scored down there. He wanted to put a ! point on that. lol It was all in good fun. The reason the fans gave him so much flack. The Pats were warming up at the other endzone. Tom ran down there by his self. lol

Truer words never spoken bay. What i was saying too. Was rollign over them cuz of our running game, mixed with passing and tebow escaping skills but when it became pure passing. Couldn’t put up points.
At least we agree on 1 thing lol. TRB
Im out let ya’ll do what ya’ll do. Till next time.
Bills are balanced on O, 15 in the league passing, 13th running.
Ever notice how when players leave our team and go to a different one they seemingly perform better.
Cutler, Marshall, Hillis, Alphonso Smith, Moss, Orton.
Yeah Orton actually moved around in the pocket and looked mobile. Apparently he left his stone shoes in the Broncos locker room!
Lol Greatness … I don’t think i heard about that part lol. All in good fun i suppose. Guy is very fired up and emotional during a game i tell ya. See tom was tryign to show off to the fans … must have felt pretty disrespected when the media was talkign Tebow v Brady … he was probably thinking “Really? … I mean Really? 3 superbowls, super awesome me … and 2nd yr Tebow? Guess imma show them” lol
I don’t miss a single player on that list, brian. lol
savinghyrule: Statistically the Bill are 14th in total offense and 26th total defense. However, they compiled some very good stats early this year and then fell off so the stats may be skewed a little. They lost RB Fred Jackson a few weeks ago and CJ Spiller has done a fair job filling in. They have a couple speedy wideouts that are good but still developing.
I do…I miss Orton, I wish he was our stating QB
Yeah Brady can do that, no D, no running game and win, Tebow definitely can’t at this stage of his career, we all knew that other than a few disciples I guess.
Thanks bay and raidrhadr. At least we’re not facing a top 10 passing attack again.
Schneider, wouldn’t it be funny if Orton was stinking up this year to stick it to the Broncos and the fans that wouldnt shut up about him sucking since he stepped in lol … clearly he didnt … wouldnt do that to his teammate … but every dog has his day, even a poodle like Orton lol … Even here he did some good things … just not clutch and very limited in his creativity and some other aspects of his game … especially when it mattered. IMO
No, that will be the week after when we play Orton, LMAO!
I’m curious about something. How were we able to pressure Brady so successfully in the 05 playoff game without Von or Doom, and have a borderline nonexistent pass rush yesterday? Is their O-line that good?
I know this is way ahead of time but should we draft a Cb and make champ FS … seein as how rahim is struggling … i mean there has been alot of talk about champ moving to FS but then we drafted 2 safeties. Just curious the thoughts on that. I know I know .. far in the future … should focus on closing out this season … but … once again curius. Eiher that or get a premiere FS in draf tif there is one because that position has been burnign us for years now. TRB
We better win this week because otherwise it will look way too much like 2008 when all we had to do was win one of the last three game to win the division and we couldn’t do that and the Chargers won it, exactly what could happen this year if Orton has a shot at getting us out he will do everything in his power to do so.
Bottom line we must win in Buffalo Xmas Eve.
Lack of pressure, mainly coaching, read my game impressions if interested.
hyrule,Oline is good but i saw some holding on NEs oline that wasn’t called (gotta keep Mr Brady clean and shiny). But doom got there, and Von got there on that muffed snap (or so I believed) not sure if that was recorded. Lot has changed since 05 Hyrule … heck … look at us lol. Pats were one of th eleast sacked teams in the league if not THE least sacked team going into our game (only 22 sacks) … now they either have 23 or 24 … not sure on the number. TRB
Their hurry up style really hurts getting in subs and stuff like that. When they go to that style we basically go into a base shell defense with no blitzing. It also makes the defense more susceptible to fatigue. I’m surprised Fox and Co. didn’t realize they would do this and come up with a counter. Even using a timeout to just give them a rest would have maybe been a good throught.
If you want to talk about draft, both our safeties and TEs picked in this last draft have been terrible disappointment, that’s 4 picks right there….
Hey Brian, we got a must win game coming up, don’t listen to Mike Rice, LOL.
I didnt read a lot of the comments so Im sorry if this has already been said. I’m pretty sure that if the Broncos beat the Chiefs they win the division. This Bills game doesn’t matter as long as we win New Years day.
Curt
Not rushing Brady was mainly a choice of the coaches, proof is when they tried at the beginning of the second half, it worked just fine, I think the whole coaching staff took the week off.
If we win the Bills game we win the division too, at least that’s the way I got it figured.
KC may be the only true must win game for playoff implications, but I think we need to win this weekend for team morale.
OK let’s just win both to be safe lol.
Plus, if we win both, we’ll finish 10-6 which is what my record prediction was a couple of games ago when we were 7-5.
I’m wrong, the Raiders have two division game left, KC and SD, if they win both they finish 4-2 in div and win it if we only win the buffalo game, so the Raiders are still more dangerous to us than the Chargers.
Good thing is this year’s team is a group of fighters that will look at every game as a must win. I mean players say all the time that every game is a must win but I think this particular squad really believes it like they believe in each other.
