1:34 p.m. EST: Hello from Bank of America Stadium in uptown Charlotte. It is a little overcast with temperatures expected to be in upper 40s. Not as cool as it is in Denver, where we hear it is around seven degrees right now. Yikes!
Anywho, most of the folks in the press box are gathered around the TV right now watching the Chiefs and the Chargers game.
We will be heading down to the field here in a bit for some photos and we will also have the pregame inactives and any lineup changes.
Looks like K.C. just jumped out on top. Should be interesting…
2:16 p.m. EST: And Kansas City adds to their lead, with Tyler Thigpen hitting Dwayne Bowe on a slant. 14-0 Chiefs. Very interesting game as well, the teams have exchanged turnovers and emotions seem to be rising. Are you guys watching? What do you think thus far?
2:19 p.m. EST: Brandon Stokley is on the field seeing if he can go on that injured heel. He ran a couple of routes — but not a full speed. We should know his status within the hour.
2:53 p.m. EST: P.R. has just handed me the inactives. For the Broncos, Chad Jackson, Marlon McCree, Champ Bailey, Cory Boyd, Andrew Pinnock, Spencer Larsen, Pat Murray and Tim Crowder will not play this afternoon.
Josh Bell will start at cornerback for Bailey and Vernon Fox will start at FS for McCree
2:56 p.m. EST: For the Panthers; WR D.J. Hackett, LB Adam Seward, G Mackenzy Bernadeau, DE Hilee Taylor, OT Frant Omiyale, WR Kenneth Moore, DT Darwin Walker and the third quarterback is Matt Moore. No starting lineup changes for the Panthers.
3:13 p.m. EST: Now for some photos from Adam Zinser.

3:27 p.m. EST: The Broncos have taken the field to a chorus of boos from the Carolina crowd. Actually there are quite a few Broncos fans here. Our hotel lobby was full of orange and blue when we headed to the buses this morning.
Also, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that we are in the hometown of fellow blogger and DenverBroncos.com writer Gray Caldwell. A huge crowd welcomed young Caldwell when we arrived at the hotel last night. Ok that is not true, but I am sure his folks were happy to see him. Well maybe not.
3:48 p.m. EST: Big fourth down stop for the Chiefs…
The Broncos have huddled up and are leaving the field for the locker room. And just as they pass by, the Panthers do the same thing.
4:00 p.m. EST: Adam Zinser just completed his photo gallery from pregame. You can view it by clicking here.
4:07 p.m. EST: The Broncos defense has just been introduced — which was a little difficult because the have a stage right in the middle of the field. Panthers are now taking the field.
4:07 p.m. EST: The captains are headed to midfield. It is good to see D.J. Williams back out there, he is joined by Jay Cutler, Daniel Graham, Dre’ Bly and Mike Leach. As visitors, the Broncos will make the call. Well the refs mic is off, so I can’t hear what happened. We will see you in the first quarter.

Yeah – GO CHIEFS! There, I said it…….
Has there been a decision on whether Champ will be playing?
Nothing official as of yet… but I doubt he plays.
Thanks for the prompt response… Even though it wasn’t what I was hoping to hear, lol.
No problem, but again it is not official… just my guess.
Yeah, Kyle, I’ve been watching some of the KC -San game. There are some weird games going on right now….the Bengals are leading the ”Skins???? The Rams have scored 17?????
I’m lovin the cheifs and chargers game so far. Need their D to step up again right here and get a turnover. I’m pulling hard for the cheifs right now lol
I hope the team puts their foot down today! Regardless of the KC outcome we still have seeding up for grabs. I still believe in mile high and the more games at home the better!
Kyle – Thank you for the updates. Any word on the RB rotation? Who starts? Also, is DJ going to start today?
Double-
No clue about the RBs, but I would expect that it will be a combo of Tatum Bell, Selvin Young and P.J. Pope. I think D.J. is a go.
TOUCHDOWN KANSAS CITY…. AGAIN! 21-3!
Well hopefully Dre’ can hold down Steve Smith.
And with the inactives the broncos have zero fullbacks for the game.
Looking forward to seeing Selvin back, hopefully he is close to full strength.
So let’s have it, is Champ going to play at all the rest of the year?
any clue whos starting at fb??
hey kyle, hows it going?
Do you think Denver will change their gameplan if KC wins?
therick- Don’t know — I would assume so — but they aren’t going to take any chances if they don’t feel he is full go.
Wootwoot- Since none are active I think the tight ends will take their turn in the backfield.
biggymac609- Maybe later in the game, but the team probably won’t hear the final score until just before kickoff. I think the game plan is the same regardless.
‘Sup Broncos Country?! Yeah the KC-Crybaby game is very interesting so far. Crybabies just scored so they are pretty much still in the game. They have alot of work to do if they want to win. This could be an easy shocker b/c in alot of KC’s games they’ve held the lead for the majority of the game and then BOOM.. the other team comes from behind with a ton of unanswered points and wins. That’s how KC got to be 2-11 (haha, funny every time I see it).
I am in no way, shape or form going to root for the Chiefs… I just don’t have it in me to be a Chiefs fan for 3 hours but lets just say I am also NOT rooting for the Crybabies to keep their playoff hopes alive and give us a run for our money… that’s already happening. I want the Crybabies to lose so bad you have no idea, but if that happens I expect (more like demand) our beloved Broncos to win this game we have today. We have to live up to our end of the deal – Chargers lose, Broncos win & Broncos clinch the West. Wow, that’s like music to my ears.
Sorry this was so long…
CRUSH those Cats!!!
Keep the faith…
GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!
Looks like KC is going to defeat the chargers….If i was a denver coach i would have told the team not to watch the game because even though they B marsh said they wanna controll thier own destiny, if they difinitively know that they have already clinched they might not play as hard…..GO BRONCOS….this isnt about clinching the division…far from it, this is about showing the NFL and the NFC that we are better than one of the NFCs best and better than the “best” division in the NFL by going 4-0 against them….Lets show them that BRONCO stampede….
Looks like champ will be deactivated again today. Must be something more with his injury that they are not letting on.
07elway – I want chiefs to beat the Dolts and get them out of the picture but I wouldnt say I was a fan for 3hrs….I cannot however (like shanny) under any circumstance root for the RAIDERS…EVER…Even though they havent been our rivals in the race for the afc west title in a long time….I still consider them more of rivals than anyone in our division or the NFL….ugghh can’t stand em…respect some of thier players past and present…but can’t stand organization.
live feed anyone?
gami3it – I wasn’t calling anyone on here a fan of either one of these teams in our division. Just like what you said about Shanny – I could never under any given circumstance root for any of the 3 teams in our division. I just don’t have that in me… my blood is so Orange & Blue like many here in Broncos Country, there’s no way in the world I could get myself to be root for any of those 3 division teams. Guess I should’ve said it that way instead of saying “fan”. I can’t stand any of our division teams… they are all rivals no matter what time of day. More so because of last year, I’d say I’ve got issues more with the Crybabies than any of our division teams. They just really showed me last year how disrespectful they are and can be and how little class they have. That so called “team” drives me nuts!!
On a brighter note, yesterday I read this article on nfl.com about the 2006 draft class and of course it made my day when I saw this. It talked about how Vince Young, Matt Leinhart and another QB all just kind of fazed out and haven’t become prominent starters and then for a brief second they mentioned that the only QB out of that draft class that has really established himself was Cutler. Which is so true… he got picked AFTER Young and Leinhart who were way overly hyped up about and now look at the underdog… he’s about ready to take us to the playoffs!! I love being the underdog for those kind of reasons – shut up all the critics and surprise everyone but then I don’t like being the underdog cause then you got to deal with the critics thinking you’re never good enough. Just thought I’d mention that… loved reading that and seeing someone finally admit Cutler was a better pick when he was being compared to Young & Leinhart.
Sorry this was so long again, can’t help myself. Oh, and I just saw Crybaby Rivers get sacked BIG time… that was some funny stuff!! I can almost bet the Chargers are going to lose this game. But the game is not over till its over.
GO BRONCOS!!!!!
Hey Kyle, is Mason around there somewhere? I think I read that he went to the Panthers…
Nice pics, I hope the game will be a good one too, but if KC wins, then it should be just for fun…
What is a good link to the game?
StormST – That he is. A crew of us went over to his house last night for a little dinner. He is doing well and I will pass on that you asked about him.
3 MIN FROM A DIVISION TITLEEEE
anyone know about a link to a game
link?
Thanx Kyle. He probably wouldn’t know me, I’m just a reader here most of the time, I just wanted to know how he is doing…
Damn the Chiefs…
