15:00: The Broncos will get the ball to start the second half and it is still raining. Looking at the radar, it looks like it will be raining for the duration of the game. Then again they don’t pay me for my weather knowledge, so take it with a grain of salt.
How is the weather in Denver? I hear it is snowing a bit.
Ok, enough of the meteorological discussions. Eddie Royal is back deep waiting for the Jay Feely kick. The short kick is fielded by John Engelberger, who take a knee at the Broncos 30.
Jay Cutler starts in the gun, hits Royal. Royal reverses field, gets a block by Cutler, and gets six yards. Lot of running for a six-yard gain. Peyton Hillis pick up the first down on the next play.
13:50: Cutler looks deep for Brandon Marshall, but Darrelle Revis has tight coverage and knocks it away. Revis makes another play on second down, undercutting Darrell Jackson. Third down… Cutler in the gun with Hillis, screen to Daniel Graham who comes close to the first down, but not enough. Out comes Kern.
Kern catches the wide snap, barely gets it away, and knocks it stiff. The Broncos beat the ball to the endzone and Jets ball at the two-yard line. This may be reviewed.
And it is… Looks like Karl Paymah’s foot was just touching the line. But we will — once again — wait to hear what Walt Coleman says.
Again I am wrong, Coleman says Paymah’s foot was not on the line. Jets have no more challenges remaining. Great play by Kern and Paymah.
12:44: Brett Favre throws on first down, complete to Thomas Jones who is close to the first down marker. Late flag, personal foul on Wesley Woodyard. Woodyard got Jones face mask and whether it was incidental or not, it is 15 yards.
12:24: Not a good start for the Denver defense. Favre looked deep for Dustin Keller but Coleman and company nail Jamie Winborn with the pass interference. First down Jets at their 45-yard line.
11:30: Favre throws an incompletion on third and short bringing up fourth down. Jets go for it, Favre wants to go deep to Chris Baker, but Vernon Fox had him covered. Favre tucks it, but comes up short. Broncos ball, first-and-ten from their 47-yard line.
Nice play by Fox, who is starting his first game in orange and blue.
10:27: First down, Cutler fires it across the middle to a leaping Tony Scheffler. First down at the Jets 35-yard line.
9:38: Cutler finds a wide-open Graham, who rumbles inside the Jets 15-yard line. On the next play, Hillis jogs through a huge hole and into the endzone… but their is laundry on the field. Casey Weigmann is hit for holding, no TD.
8:00: After a completion to Royal and a short run by Hillis, Cutler and company face third-and-13 from the 17-yard line. Cutler in the gun, rolls right, throws it in the endzone and it is picked off. Interception by Dwight Lowry, Jets ball at their 20.
7:03: Two quick passes give the Jets a first down.
6:03: Favre hits Washington, who shows how dangerous he is. Follows his blocks and moves the ball to the Broncos 33-yard line. 34-yards on the play. Spencer Larsen is down and being looked at by the team trainers.
Larsen gets to his feet and is helped off the field by the trainers. He was hobbling a bit, but now he is walking — still with the trainers help.
5:40: Washington takes another short pass upfield and the Jets are in the redzone. Another Bronco is down, Ebenezer Ekuban.
Ekuban is on his feet and walking off the field. The training staff is staying busy the last few minutes. On another note, Larsen is walking around on the sideline. No word yet on his status.
5:05: This is turning into the Leon Washington show, he takes a Favre pass inside the Broncos 10. Another Bronco is down, this time it is Dre’ Bly.
Bly is limping off the field under his own power. Not what you want to see, three players down on three consecutive plays.
4:29: First-and-goal for the Jets, Favre gives to Washington, who slips to the ground. Second down and Bly is back in… Favre can’t find anyone and throws it out of the endzone bringing up third-and-goal… Elvis Dumervil races in, strips Favre, but the Jets recover. Give Dumervil a sack and a forced fumble on that one.
Out comes the Jets field goal unit, Feely from 30-yards is good.
Broncos 27 – Jets 17, 2:50 remaining.
2:50: Wet ball comes into effect as Royal struggles with the kickoff. He falls on it at the 11-yard line. The crowd is getting into it.
Cutler rolls right again, throws against his body and hits Scheffler for the big gain. Scheffler stayed down, but walked off and appears ok. 24-yard gain on that one.
INJURY UPDATE: Larsen has a back injury and is questionable to return; Ekuban has a pinched nerve and he is also questionable.
1:33: Big third down for the Broncos. Cutler is blitzed up the middle and throws a screen to Hillis. He can’t get it and for some reason Eric Barton just threw the ball and got a five-yard delay of game penalty. He is lucky it wasn’t a personal foul. Still fourth down and out comes Kern.
1:33: Kern booms one and Niko Koutouvides corrals it at the Jets nine-yard line. Nice kick by Kern, who seems to excel in bad weather conditions.
1:15: Jones takes the first down handoff and fights his way for 14 yards. And on the next play, takes the ball for 11 yards. Back-to-back first downs for Jones. Favre is hurrying the offense, but that will be the final play of the third quarter.
See you in the fourth.

RUN THE BALL ON FIRST DOWN!
tell me if we throw that screen to hillis he wouldve got the first down…..GREAT PUNT
HA, the Jets have to start at the 2 yd line. This ought to be funny, to see what Favre does. We need to sack him in the end zone and get 2 pts. The more the merrier!!!
GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!
hahahahahahahahahahahahahah
nice job paymah!!!
geez………PENALTIES!!!!! dumb, dumb, dumb
come on d play smart stop the penelties
unbelievable!
2 penalties
34 yards
There you go D! Just stay in the game and keep Favre guessing.
GREAT D JUST PLAIN GREAT D
THATS IT D! ! !
beautiful stop right there, now get a td here
That Was Sweet ! ! !
Penalties or not, you gotta love the Defense… I’m so proud.
yeah go falcons beat those chargers
Hillis could get 100yrds. he should carry the ball at least 25 times. TIME OF POSSESSION! ! !
brett favre is an old man
Grrrr ^&@%^#$&$* penalties!
brett favre is old
the d can’t tacle him its a crime
hahahhahahahahahaahha
BOOO
i know how you feel broncoinexile……
why throw a jump ball when you have the lead and you’re in field goal range????
he was doing his impression of farve
The League called shanny and asked him not to run up the score so they could trot out all their “favre comeback” bs.
Unfortunately, we listened.
D needs to get a stop here and knock the wind out of the jets’ sails.
was that larsen i couldnt see…..WHATS WITH THE FREAKEN INJURIES?
all of a sudden the D can’t tackle anybody………..
Navy,
I’m not sure all season = all of a sudden.
o no
I would like to go at least 2 plays in a row without SOMEONE getting injured.
Is that too much to ask?
you wouldnt think so
haha…..good point……they were doing a pretty good job in the first half (for the most part) excluding that BS run by Jones where, apparently, his elbow didn’t touch the ground……….so frustrating – dumb interception, broken tackles, and INJURIES……..
BREAK HIS HIP !
this whole drive has been washington, washington, washington we need to stop him somehow…….great another injurie
okay now the injury bug is back
That was a good one broncfan99. But he better not do it again!!
That was a very dumb penalty when we could’ve had another TD. Then Cutler made a dumb move by throwing that ball when we could’ve just had a FG – would have been fine with me to just stick with the FG. Although if the Jets score off our turnover (which is very likely) then we got a little bit of a reason to scramble and maintain our lead but there’s no need to panic.
And what is up with all our injuries… 3 in less than 15 minutes! Good grief, these guys really do need to be put in bubble wrap. If Bly is out for the game we are in BIG TROUBLE!! I’ve never seen such fragile football players!
GO BRONCOS!!!!!!
SOMEONE needs to seriously evaluate our conditioning program — and see what al davis has been putting in the water.
These injuries are out of control.
now thats the pass rush weve been missing way to go moss
dumerville!!!.. i thought denver recovered it. but o well, held them to a fg while losing 3 players
At least Cutler’s terrible throw in the red zone only cost us a 6 point differential here………….let’s get it going now………keep Favre on the bench!
Favre got sacked and by whom… DOOM!!!
Way to go man. Its about time he got sacked. I’ve been waiting for that all day.
Keep it up boys… bring home a W.
GO BRONCOS!!!!
alright great stand d now lets go o…ahhhhh good play cutler
i got one ? what happened to the running game?
another great punt
I noticed the O-line has yet to allow a sack..Great Job! Keep it up.
Thats what Im saying, did the O Coaches give up on the running game AGAIN! Thats what got us here.
whyyyy don’t we have a run defense? they just run into the ball carrier instead of wrapping up
hillis is 6 yards short of 100 are they affraid that if he gets it they are going to have to give him a rais or what
STOP THEM!!!! COME ON, D!!
How many times can the O give it back to the jets? THEY EXPECT THIS D TO HOLD. TIME OF POSSESSION! ! ! Ballanced Offensive play calling will win this game for the Broncos.
GO BRONCOS! ! !
I have never seen so many injuries in one game EVER!!
This is nuts!!
But anyway, come on D – shut these guys down.
Let’s keep our offense on the field.
GO BRONCOS!!!!!
