13:30: Favre with the quick pass to Jerricho Cotchery to the Broncos 29-yard line. 15-yard gain on that quick strike. On first down, the Broncos thought they had Thomas Jones down, but Jones gets back up and into the endzone. This might be challenged. And it is…
From these eyes, Jones rolled over Peterson and it looks like his elbow hit the ground. Problem is, “looks like” is not indisputable evidence. We shall see what Walt Coleman sees…

12:44: Eddie Royal back to receive the kick. He tries to take it across the field but is brought down by Brad Smith. First down Broncos at the 17-yard line.
12:38: Peyton Hillis spins, jukes, dives, ducks, dips for the first down after a completion to Royal on first down.
10:38: After completions to Daniel Graham and Darrell Jackson, the Broncos face third-and-one from the their 41-yard line. Cutler gives to Hillis who get tripped up quickly. Not sure he got it, he reached out but it wasn’t enough. Out comes the chain crew to see how short he was.
Out comes the punt team. Brett Kern hits a low liner that bounces out of bounds at the Jets 19-yard line.
9:11: Favre hits Cotchery, who jukes Josh Bell for a first down at the 31-yard line.
7:50: Dre’ Bly, who has seen Favre a few times, goes to where the ball was going for the interception. Pass was intended for Laveranues Coles. Broncos ball at their 32-yard line.
7:48: On first down, Cutler in the gun fires for Brandon Marshall but it falls incomplete. A little behind Marshall and Darrelle Revis made a good play. But the duo make up for it and connect for a Broncos first down.
6:48: Hillis on first down hits the pile, moves around it, breaks tackles and gets another first down. After a Hillis five-yard run, Daniel Graham gets a Broncos first down.
4:50: Cutler fires to Scheffler who takes the Broncos to the Jets one-yard line. On the next play, the human-bulldozer Peyton Hillis pushes it through. Touchdown Broncos. Prater is good on the PAT and the Broncos add to their lead. Nice way to convert a turnover by the Jets.
Broncos 24 – Jets 14, 4:29 remaining.
On the day, Hillis has 10 carries for 85 yards and a touchdown. Hope he is in your fantasy lineup, because Adam Zinser forgot to put him in his. So is life.
3:35: Nice return by Washington has the Jets at their 39-yard line… After a short run and incompletion it is third down. Favre in the gun, pumps but overthrows Keller. Fourth down.
3:29: Royal calls the team away and it is quickly touched by the Jets. Broncos first-and-10 at their 16.
3:18: The Jets are waiting for Hillis on first down and he may have lost a yard and Chris Kuper lost his helmet. After finding his helmet, Kuper and the rest of the line give Cutler plenty of time and he finds Marshall, who picks up the first down. A Jet is down following the play. It is LB David Bowens, he bounces up and walks off the field under his own power.
Two-minute warning.
2:00: First down, Cutler has a corner blitz coming, but hits Graham for seven yards. On the next play, the two hook up again for another first down.
1:15: Flags all over the field. The Jets are offsides, giving the Broncos a first-and-five.
0:56: Consecutive drops by Brandon Stokley and Marshall bring up third down for Cutler and company… Cutler decides to talk it over with the coaches and calls a timeout.
Thus far, Cutler is 16-23 for 202 yards and a touchdown.
0:52: First down as Cutler hits Stokley. Cutler spikes it to stop the clock. Looks like Stokley may have got nicked on that one.
0:32: The skills Marshall learned playing safety at Central Florida come in handy as he knocks the ball away from the Jets defender. Third down… Cutler rolls all the way to the right, throws across his body to a wide open Marshall. First down Broncos at the Jets 17-yard line. Out of timeouts, Cutler spikes it. Out comes Prater. From 35 yards, Prater nails it.
Broncos 27 – Jets 14, 0:03 remaining.
0:03: Hopefully Prater will hit a ground ball here and not give the ball to the dangerous Washington. He does and we go to halftime with the Broncos ahead, 27-14.

Wow, what a horrible way to let them get a TD. The guy landed right on top of one of our guys and he never really touched the ground. That was practically a give away. Someone should have been there to tackle that guy and make sure he would be down. That stinks… ah well, now its time for our offense to spread our lead.

haha, so true SaloRB, so true. Only a play like that would happen to us. Couldn’t agree more – don’t know why I found that kinda funny but I did. Probably cause something like really only would happen to us and after so many weird games and plays, it gets kind of humorous that the weirdest things happen to us. Its mind boggling.
