HALFTIME: The team is honoring 80 breast cancer survivors at midfield during halftime. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Broncos will receive the ball to start the second half.
Q3 15:00: Perrish Cox is back deep to receive the opening kickoff of the second half. The ball sails out of the back of the end zone and the offense takes over at its own 20-yard line. Knowshon Moreno takes a carry on first down, picking up 2 yards. On second down, Kyle Orton fakes a handoff before firing to Brandon Lloyd, but the ball falls incomplete. There’s a flag on the play — pass interference on Antonio Cromartie, giving the Broncos a first down at the 41-yard line. Tim Tebow is in the backfield for the next play. The rookie runs right up the middle for a quick gain of 4 yards. He claps his hands and runs off the field. Orton is back under center on second-and-6. He hands off to Moreno, who gets close to the first-down marker, but the offense is left with third-and-1. Spencer Larsen takes the handoff and looks to have picked up the first down, but the officials call for a measurement. It’s a first down for the Broncos.
Q3 13:00: On first down, Orton hands off to Moreno again, and the back picks up a quick 6 yards into Jets territory. Second-and-4 has Tebow in the backfield again, and the rookie hands off to Correll Buckhalter for a gain of a yard. On third-and-3, Orton is in the shotgun. He takes the snap and looks to his left, finding Lloyd for the first down.
Q3 11:00: On the ensuing first down, Orton hands off to Laurence Maroney, who hits the hole and picks up 9 yards to the 27-yard line. On second-and-1, Orton hands off to Maroney, who is brought down in the backfield for a loss of 4 yards. That makes it third-and-5, and Orton is in the shotgun. The quarterback fires a pass that is tipped before falling incomplete. Prater is in for another field goal attempt, this one from 49 yards out — and it’s no good. The Jets take over at their own 39-yard line.
Q3 9:38: On first down, Brad Smith is under center. He hands off to Shonn Greene, who picks up 9 yards to the 48-yard line. Kevin Vickerson is down after the play.
Q3 9:27: Vickerson walks off the field under his own power. The previous play was actually a gain of 8, so the Jets have a second-and-2. Smith is still in under center, and this time he runs it himself for the first down. The Jets call their first timeout of the second half.
*INJURY UPDATE* Vickerson has a groin injury and is questionable to return.
Q3 8:43: At the Denver 46-yard line, Sanchez fakes a handoff on first down before being brought down by Marcus Thomas for a sack. That makes it second-and-13 for the Jets. Smith is back under center, and he hands off to Greene, who picks up 6 yards before being taken down by D.J. Williams. On third-and-7 at the 43, the crowd is on its feet. Sanchez drops back from under center and fires to Santonio Holmes, but the receiver is short of the first-down marker. On fourth-and-1, Nick Folk runs onto the field to attempt a 56-yard field goal. It’s through the uprights to tie the game as the kickers exchange deep bombs.
BRONCOS 10, JETS 10
Q3 6:41: Cox is back deep to receive the kickoff, but it’s another touchback and the offense takes over at its own 20-yard line. Orton fires to Royal for a quick 3-yard gain on first down. The next play is another pass from Orton to Royal, and the receiver is hit hard by Darrelle Revis, jarring the ball loose. That makes it third-and-7. Orton avoids pressure before taking off, scrambling and eventually diving for the first down, much to the delight of the crowd. It was a 9-yard gain to the 32. On the ensuing first down, Tebow is back in under center. The rookie finds the hole and picks up 6 quick yards, slapping hands with Orton as he heads back to the sideline. On second-and-4, Moreno takes a handoff forward for 2 yards, setting up third-and-2.
Q3 4:24: On third-and-2, Orton is in the shotgun. The quarterback’s pass intended for Daniel Graham is incomplete, and there’s a flag on the play — pass interference on Graham. The penalty is declined, and it’s fourth-and-2 at the Denver 40-yard line. Britton Colquitt is in to punt. Jim Leonhard fields it at his own 15-yard line before being brought down immediately by Cassius Vaughn. Leonhard essentially falls forward for a 4-yard return after Colquitt’s 45-yard punt. New York takes over at its own 19.
Q3 3:43: LaDainian Tomlinson is brought down by D.J. Williams after a 3-yard gain on first down. Second down brings a pass from Sanchez that is tipped and nearly results in Jason Hunter’s second interception of the day. On third down, Sanchez is chased out of the pocket before throwing a pass that is tipped yet again, forcing a punt. Syd’Quan Thompson is back deep to receive, and the rookie calls for a fair catch at the 34-yard line.
Q3 2:51: Moreno picks up 2 yards on first down. On second down, it’s Moreno again, and he runs into a wall of defenders after another gain of 2. Eric Decker is in the slot on third-and-6. Orton drops back and fires deep to Lloyd, who hauls in the pass for a big gain, and there’s a flag on the play for unnecessary roughness — a helmet-to-helmet hit, adding 15 yards to the end of the play. It was a 29-yard reception to begin with. Orton took a big hit on the throw and was slow getting up, but Ryan Clady helps him up and he jogs down to the new line of scrimmage. The Jets have decided to challenge the ruling on the field that Lloyd made the catch.
**INJURY UPDATE** Royal has a groin injury and is questionable to return.
Q3 1:34: The ruling on the field is upheld, and the Jets are charged with their second timeout of the second half. On first-and-10 at the 17-yard line, Orton tries to connect with Daniel Graham, but the pass falls incomplete. On second down, Orton lofts a pass to Demaryius Thomas for a 17-yard touchdown, the rookie’s second of his career. Prater’s extra point is up and in, and the Broncos retake the lead.
BRONCOS 17, JETS 10
Q3 1:23: Prater’s kickoff is fielded in the end zone and returned to the 24-yard line, where the Jets offense takes over. On first down, Sanchez fires over the middle of the field to a wide open Dustin Keller, who weaves his way downfield for a 41-yard gain to the Denver 35-yard line. The ensuing first down is an end-around to Santonio Holmes, who fumbles the ball. It’s recovered by the Broncos — Renaldo Hill comes away with it, and the offense takes over on its own 19-yard line.
Q3 0:36: It was Perrish Cox that forced the fumble. As Orton jogs back to the huddle, he quiets the exuberant crowd. The final play of the third quarter is a 1-yard run by Moreno, and the crowd is on its feet ans Daniel Graham leads a run down to the opposite end of the field, where the Broncos will face a second-and-9 at the 20-yard line when the fourth quarter begins.
Q4 15:00: On second down, Orton fakes a handoff before being sacked. Third-and-17 brings a handoff to Correll Buckhalter, who picks up 2 yards. Colquitt is in to punt from his own goal line. Leonhard fields it as it goes out of bounds at the Jets 47-yard line — a 39-yard punt.
Q4 13:52: Tomlinson picks up 3 yards on first down to midfield. On second down, Brad Smith is in the backfield, and he carries the ball on a direct snap before being hit hard by D.J. Williams. The gain of 3 makes it third-and-4. The crowd is getting loud as Sanchez drops backand throws incomplete toward Braylon Edwards. Weatherford is in to punt, and Syd’Quan Thompson calls for a fair catch at the 7-yard line.
Q4 12:25: Moreno picks up 2 yards on first down. On second down, the running back is tackled by a pack of Jets for a loss of the 2 yards he just gained. Third-and-10 has Orton in the shotgun. He throws deep down the sideline intended for Lloyd, but the receiver can’t quite adjust for the ball, and it’s tipped around in the air before falling incomplete. Now Colquitt is in to punt from the back of his own end zone. He booms the kick to the opposite 40-yard line, where it bounces high in the air before being fielded by Kyle Wilson. The rookie picks up 6 yards on the return, giving the Jets the ball at their own 46-yard line after Colquitt’s 53-yard punt.
Q4 10:43: Sanchez is under center on first down. He fakes a handoff before firing to Holmes in the middle of the field in front of Cox. The connection puts the ball at the Denver 33-yard line. On first down, Sanchez hands off to Greene, who finds the corner for a gain of 8 yards before his helmet pops off, ending the play. On second-and-2, Tomlinson is tripped up — but not before he picks up the first down. New York has a first-and-10 at the 20-yard line.
Q4 9:00: On first down, Sanchez drops back and pump fakes before trying to find John Conner — “The Terminator,” for those of you who watched Hard Knocks. The pass falls incomplete. On second-and-10, Sanchez hands off to Tomlinson, and the former Charger bursts through the hole and sprints 20 yards for the game-tying touchdown. Folk’s extra point is up and in.
BRONCOS 17, JETS 17
Q4 8:36: After a touchback, the offense takes over at its own 20-yard line. Orton drops back and fires to Lloyd, who goes up and over Jim Leonhard for a first down — a 19-yard pickup. The ensuing first-and-10 brings a run by Moreno, who weaves his way through the defense for a 14-yard gain. Denver is called for a false start before the next play. Now first-and-15 from the 48-yard line, Maroney fights his way into New York territory with a 4-yard gain. On second-and-11, Orton fires deep to Thomas, who nearly goes up and over Revis to bring the ball in, but it falls incomplete, bringing up third down. Orton lines up in the shotgun. He steps up in the pocket and makes one defender miss, scrambling for his second first down on the ground of the afternoon. The 13-yard gain gives the Broncos a first down at the Jets 35.
Q4 5:14: Tim Tebow steps back into the backfield on first down, picking up 2 yards on a run. On second down, he fakes a handoff before running to the left side of the defense for a gain of 3. Now third-and-5, Orton steps back in at quarterback. From the shotgun, he fires out of bounds to bring up fourth down. Prater is in for a 48-yard attempt. His kick is up and in, giving the Broncos the lead.
BRONCOS 20, JETS 17
Q4 3:55: The crowd is as loud as it has been all afternoon as the Jets face a first-and-10 at their own 20-yard line after Prater’s touchback. Sanchez winds up and fires deep intended for Braylon Edwards, but Renaldo Hill is there to make sure the pass falls incomplete. On second down, Tomlinson takes a carry and he’s brought down after a gain of 5. Now third-and-5 at the 25-yard line, the crowd is shaking the stadium. Sanchez quickly finds Edwards for a first down just past Cox. Now on the 32-yard line, the Jets hurry up to the line. Sanchez finds Jerricho Cotchery for a 4-yard gain on first down. On second-and-6, Sanchez takes the snap amidst chants of “Defense! Defense!” Tomlinson takes a handoff but he’s brought down by Mario Haggan for a loss of a yard. On third-and-7 at the 35-yard line, Sanchez connects with Santonio Holmes for a first down near midfield.
Q4 2:00: After the two-minute warning, the Jets break their huddle with a first-and-10 at their own 47-yard line. Sanchez buys time in the pocket and drops a pass off to Tomlinson for a 4-yard gain into Denver territory. On second-and-6, Syd’Quan Thompson breaks up a pass intended for Cotchery. On third-and-6, Sanchez lines up in the shotgun. He fires a pass down the middle of the field intended for Dustin Keller, but Nate Jones was right there in coverage, leaping and swatting the pass out of the air. Brian Dawkins is on the sideline hyping up the crowd as the Jets face a fourth-and-6 at the Denver 48-yard line. Sanchez lines up in the shotgun and fires deep downfield as he’s hit in the pocket. Renaldo Hill nearly intercepts a pass at the 2-yard line, but the refs decide to call pass interference on the play. The Jets now have a first-and-goal at the 2-yard line. On first down, Tomlinson runs into the end zone for his second touchdown of the day, celebrating with his signature whatever-the-heck that thing is, putting his hand behind his head and rolling the ball off his hand. The extra point is up and in.
JETS 24, BRONCOS 20
Q4 1:13: The Broncos offense will take over at the 20-yard line after another touchback. With all three timeouts remaining, Orton jogs out to the huddle. He drops back into the shotgun and quickly finds Jabar Gaffney for a first down. The receiver runs out of bounds to stop the clock. Orton lines up in the shotgun again, finding Lloyd in front of the coverage of Antonio Cromartie down the sideline for a 20-yard gain into Jets territory. Denver calls its first timeout of the half.
Q4 0:58: On first down, Orton is in the shotgun. He buys time in the pocket and nearly finds Demaryius Thomas inside the 5-yard line, but the receiver can’t quite come up with it. On second down, Orton finds Gaffney for a quick 4-yard gain before the Broncos call a timeout to stop the clock. The catch, however, is under review.
Q4 0:42: The ruling on the field is confirmed. It’s third-and-6 at the 44-yard line. Orton is in the shotgun again and is motioning to his receivers. The snap is bobbled, however, and the Jets recover to seal the game. The Broncos lose 24-20 and fall to 2-4 on the season. The Oakland Raiders head to INVESCO Field at Mile High next week.

I think prater is the best in the league. even tho he missed that last kick but still. lets try to move the ball and stop running especially with maroney
Nate Jones stinks and he’s afraid to tackle; he’s jogging while LT is running into the end zone, he should have a camera; he’d get great shots.
