2:11 EST: Hello from the swamps of New Jersey and a rainy Giants Stadium. It is wet, it is cold and it should be interesting to see how both teams respond.
It is always fun to visit this area of the country, especially during the holiday season. Many of us took the 20-minute jaunt into New York City to experience the lights of Time Square and the other tourist areas. Thankfully we all came back unscathed but with lighter wallets.
Jake Grilley is down on the field, trying to stay dry and snap some photos. When he comes back up, I will post some of his images and I should also have the inactives.
Also just a quick note. Unfortunately some of the blog comments the last couple of days have been… well a little out of bounds. I know we all go through the gamut of emotions, but keep the comments away from personal attacks and profanity. If we see them, we will delete them. Thanks for your understanding and if you have any questions or concerns, contact me.
OK enough of that, back to the action at hand.
2:56 EST: I was just handed the inactives for today’s game. For the Broncos, S Marlon McCree, CB Champ Bailey, RB Selvin Young, FB Andrew Pinnock, LB D.J. Williams, LB Nate Webster, DT Nic Clemons and DE Tim Crowder. As has been in the past few games, Spencer Larsen will start for Webster, Wesley Woodyard will start for Williams, Josh Bell will start for Bailey. Still remains to be seen who will start in the place of McCree.
The Jets inactives are; K Mike Nugent, 3rd QB Brett Ratliff, WR David Clowney, RB Marcus Mason, CB Drew Coleman, S Eric Smith, LB David Harris and TE Bubba Franks.
Back in a sec with photos. Also, the clouds have opened. It was a drizzle, now it is pouring.
3:24 EST: A soaking wet Jake Grilley is back, and here are his photos:

3:47 EST: So the internet connection here at Giants Stadium is a little iffy, so if I am behind a bit, you know why. We will do our best however.
3:49 EST: The Broncos have headed back into the locker room. As they were leaving the field, Dewayne Robertson was greeted by his former Jets teammates and coaches. The Jets have also headed into the locker room.
4:03 EST: Still about 10 minutes from kickoff and the stands are pretty sparse. Then again I don’t blame him. With this rain, I would wait as long as I could before I took my seat.
4:13 EST: The captains are headed to midfield for the coin toss. The Broncos call tails, and it is heads. The Jets will receive.
According to the press box P.A., “the official characterization of the weather is rainy.” Ah… so that is what that wet substance falling from the sky is. Also it is a balmy 36 degrees.
See you in the first quarter.

Hey Kyle hows it going?
What’s the early word on Eddie and Champ?
Thanks
I think we are all anxiously awaiting word on those two guys.
I’m optimistic about today. Anything can happen!
Biggymac609, things are going well… thank you for asking. Inactives should be out soon, but my guess is that Eddie will be up and Champ will be down. Again, that is just my guess, but we should know soon.
Kyle, Is the weather bad enough that you could really see a bad game out of cuter
Like Favre, Jay has huge hands, so I wouldn’t think the weather should bother him too much. But it will be a factor, thankfully both teams have to deal with it.
I hope we can get a running game going to help with that passing game. Especially because of the rain, I can see a lot of dropped balls in this game.
I was at the the Atlanta/Denver game and I thought the D played pretty good. If the D can step up like they did against Atlanta then we have a good shot at keeping this game close. If we can pull this game out, we should be in good shape especially getting some of our starters back in the weeks to come.
What are they wearing today?
White on Blue?
Who is projected to start at safety?
Does anyone know where to get live feed?
Looks like White on Blue. Our D needs to shut down the Jets running game or we’re in trouble, simple as that. Both teams are going to try and keep the ball on the ground as much as possible, specially with the rain, and the Jets coming off last weeks running game are trying to repeat success.
Cutler, I have never been able to find a live feed of any NFL game, ESPN’s gamecenter or w/e and NFL’s thing is the best I could find. Fortunately we’re getting this game broadcasted this week since the Seahawks played thanksgiving.
It is white on blue. As far as safety, they are leaving it a mystery. I have seen Vernon Fox, Josh Barrett and Calvin Lowry there during warmups.
I live in Oklahoma so I never get the broncos on tv unless it’s monday night or thursday night football! If anyone finds live feed please tell me! Thank you.
The game is supposed to be posted here once it starts.
