Q3 – 2:39: Forced out of the pocket on 1st and 10 from the New York 37, Manning misfires while looking for Smith along the left sideline. On 2nd and 10, Manning looks Smith’s way again, finding the wideout for a 30-yard reception.

Q3 – 1:55: With pressure coming from Dawkins on first down from the Denver 33, Manning overthrows his intended receiver, Hixon. On 2nd and 10, Manning throws a screen pass to Jacobs, who heads downfield for a 13-yard gain and a first down at the Denver 20-yard line.

Q3 – 1:11: On first down, Denver’s defensive front forces Manning out of the pocket and he throws incomplete to Hixon. On second and long, Manning — operating out of the shotgun — hands off to Jacobs. Boss is called for holding on the play, bringing the ball back to the Denver 30-yard line.

Q3 – 0:53: On 2nd and 20, Manning throws complete to Ware for a four-yard loss. Steve Smith was called for offensive interference on the play, but the Broncos have declined the penalty — bringing up 3rd and 24.

Attached is a link with article on Coach McDaniels. It does clarify what actually took place with Bolts LB Shaun Phillips.

  2. FTR says:

Good Morning everyone-anyone? This is normally drink coffee get ready for the game and blog time. Pulling for KC but Bolts will be hard to beat in their backyard. But you never know TD had seven years 95 to 2001 according to Pro Football Referance.com.
Royalbroncofan1 thanks for the link. I though there might be more to that story then McD just casually walking through the Bolts warm-ups talking crap. Something did not fit.
    FTR

  3. royalbroncofan1 says:

No problem FTR. There’s always two sides to a story. As Coach mentioned, Phillips took the liberty to share his side of what happened. Coach’s comment referred to his days in NE.
Former Chargers WR Chris Chambers looking forward to playing his old Team. Apparently stills feels some resentment for being “fired”. Chiefs WR Chambers had a good day vs. Steelers last week. I believe todays’ matchup will be closer than many suspect.

  4. baylinorcrush says:

Hey guys, this is what I’m looking forward to today.

    Early games:

-Cleveland to beat Cinci (one can always pray, LOL)
-Colts to beat Houston (Colts are shoe in for first seed, so I rather distance myself from Houston as far as wild card possibilities)
-Buffalo to beat the Dolphins (wild card thing)

    Late games:

-SF to beat Jacksonville (wild card thing)
-KC to beat SD (division title possibility)

    Tonight:

-Baltimore to beat Pittsburgh (wild card thing)

    Tomorrow night:

-N-O to beat N-E (always hope NFC beats AFC unless it’s us or the SB)

And people think it’s going to be boring this week’end because we are not playing, LOL. This time of year, just about every game matters, gotta love it!

  5. baylinorcrush says:

BTW, hoping Cleveland beats Cinci and N-O beat N-E is for the second seed possibilty (buys a week off).

  6. baylinorcrush says:

And in this league, remember, it’s one game at a time, hahahaha……
    Cracks me up!

  7. baylinorcrush says:

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL?

  8. timmah says:

Leave it to a charger and the media to make a big deal out of nothing.

Already posted this link timmah. See time posted…08:51 am.

  10. baylinorcrush says:

Always helps to read above posts before posting.

  11. royalbroncofan1 says:

Texans always seem to give the Colts a good game.

  12. timmah says:

Sorry royalbroncofan1, I scanned the older comments before I posted it, but apparently I missed it. My bad. I will make sure I scan a little better next time.

  13. tnalen66 says:

WOW Elam missed again.. I think his career is over. He has really hurt Atlanta this year.

  14. Marshallman-15 says:

Just wondering, why you all want Cinci to lose? I’d rather keep them head of the division while Pittsburgh & Baltimore struggle underneath. Obviously I’m a touch biased, I like Cinci, but I’m just unsure how that will help us if they lose

  15. Deify_you says:

Man what happened to the Chiefs(not serious) beat the Steelers last week and just getting manhandled by the Chargers 28-7 in the 2nd quarter. I know I know just because they played well last week doesn’t mean they’ll beat the Chargers but cant blame me for hoping.

  16. 57Yellow T-Bird says:

Hey guys, what’s up? Yeah, Deify, I’m with you on that. Stepped away for a couple of minutes when it was 7-7, and next thing I know it was 21-7. Stepped away again and it was 28-7. Doesn’t look too good for KC. But then again, maybe they’ll be more than humbled enough to handle our Broncos next week!

  17. 57Yellow T-Bird says:

That is to say, hopefully they’ll be too humiliated to know what to do against our Broncos!

  18. 57Yellow T-Bird says:

WTF! Now its 35-7. Turned away to see Favre toss a TD pass to Shianco (sp), and turned back around to my computer (since the SD/KC game isn’t on in my area) only to find out SD scored again. Doesn’t look like following this game is worth it! :)

  19. Deify_you says:

Cutler had 2 interceptions in the first half, 20 interceptions total. Vikings are running away with that game. So Chiefs wont beat the Chargers, but its okay need the Ravens to beat the Steelers though.

  20. 57Yellow T-Bird says:

    Agreed

  21. Marshallman-15 says:

The sad thing is, KC is playing well – it’s just 3 fumbles that are killing them

  22. Marshallman-15 says:

    plus an interception

  23. 57Yellow T-Bird says:

Man, Cutler really sucks. I’ll bet he’s really regrettting not calling Pat Bowlen back.

  24. 57Yellow T-Bird says:

    Yeah, Marshallman-15
But as a team, those are the kinds of things you just HAVE to avoid; usually it’ll mean the difference between a W or a L.

  25. Marshallman-15 says:

I agree all the way – when we got our throats slit by SD, that’s one of the things that killed us. Add the penalties & lack of effort, and it’s a recipe for disaster

  26. Deify_you says:

Pfffft to bad we don’t play the Bears this season, Doom would have a sack on nearly every down against them.

  27. LBWilson56 says:

Ya know..i really hate the Chargers…and i really hate that stupid smug look Rivers always has on his face..just thought i would share…

  28. shutout says:

Well I never really thought the Chiefs would beat the chargers, but there is still plenty of football left to be played. Some positives for the wildcard would be that the texans and jaguars lost…who would have thought the titans would be in the hunt at 5-6 after starting 0-6? gotta love football. Anyway, I was at the giants game and I was glad to see the Broncos return to form. Lets hope they can win the next 5 in a row, beat the Colts and go to playoffs 12-4 with the division title and a bye. HAHA! Hey-it could happen…….

  29. Marshallman-15 says:

then Tennessee & the Bengals both get owned by us in the playoffs & we beat Minnesota in the ‘bowl

  30. #24-PickSixAllDay says:

lol this may b off topic a bit but lets go baltimore

  31. baylinorcrush says:

Marshallman-15, wanting to have Cinci lose is like wanting N-E to lose, it’s with the hope of getting the 2nd seed, therefore a bye, assuming we win our division. That’s why, I haven’t given up on the division title yet.

  32. baylinorcrush says:

Record wise we are only one game behind Cinci and could be tied with N-E if they lose tomorrow, and we beat them both so we hold the tie breaker, therefore we are definitely still in the race for the second seed if we can win the division. Can you see it now (why I want Cinci to lose)?

  33. Marshallman-15 says:

Alright, I see. If the chargers can lose three in a row, Dallas, Cinci, Tennessee, and we beat Oakland, Kansas City twice, & Philly on top of that, we’re tied for the division. And I know that sounds dumb, because we never do good against KC but if SD can do it, we DEFINITELY can too. And if we miraculously beat the Colts we’re 12-4. Doubt SD can pull that, so we may just have to tie the division & either hope numbers pull us through or get a Wild-Card game we can pull through.

  34. Marshallman-15 says:

And when I first said we’re tied for the division, I meant like 5-1 IN OUR DIVISION. I’m half asleep so half my comments dont make any sense

  35. baylinorcrush says:

If as you say the Chargers lose the next three (which they could considering the opponents)) and win the last two, they end up 10-6. If we have only one loss, we finish 11-5 and win the division outright. That’s why that #2 seed is still lurking…

  36. baylinorcrush says:

Actually, they play Cleveland first, then the three tough ones and finish against the Skins

  37. baylinorcrush says:

We better do everything we can to still win the division, so it can take some of that sour taste out of my mouth about the egg we layed against them last Sunday. That was a HUGE loss.

  38. baylinorcrush says:

As far as the race for the wild card is concern, if it comes down to that, everything that had to happen for us today did happen, Jacksonville lost, Houston lost, the Dolphins lost and Pittsburgh is already down to the Ravens and without Big Ben and Polamalu, I see them lose also.

  39. broncofan2639 says:

oldsouthstander: Very good Marlin Briscoe is right. You are also right about the being a “wildcat”. More “wildcat” than QB.

  40. uub says:

I think TD should get in!!! Gayle Sayers said” If you look at it. He was me from a RB perspective in my time.” I think that is accurate!!

  41. Marshallman-15 says:

I wonder if San Diego can lose four in a row, coming from a mediocre browns team, or much more likely, an inconsistent Washington team

  42. Marshallman-15 says:

I meant if they lose the three mentioned earlier -

  43. uub says:

We can still get the division. They play Cin, Tenn, and Dal. Those are not easy wins. They can loose all 3.

  44. vraptor567 says:

well the team is back and it is always great to see a Manning eat turf (any Manning), and particularly when it breaks our losing streak. Wish SD had lost but so it goes, they seem to be a thorn in our backside for the last several years, and will be again this year. We still have a shot at our division, but we do face undefeated indi which is our toughest match left. If the team is back (and lets face it they had been gone for the last few weeks) we have a good shot. Lets just hope for the best and see how things roll out.
    GO BRONCOS

  45. Greatness007 says:

They have been blocking me since the game. Anyway Love what I saw out of the team. We played as one. Everyone getting confidence off each other.
