Greetings from INVESCO Field at Mile High where the 6-4 Broncos will take on the 6-4 Giants in a few short hours.

First and foremost, Happy Thanksgiving to you and your entire family. Hope the holiday has treated you well so far.

With their game tonight against New York, the Broncos are hosting a Thanksgiving game for the first time since 1963. This is the 11th time in club history and third time in the last five years that the team has played on the Thanksgiving holiday.

Currently, conditions are ideal, as they have been all day long , and  there isn’t a cloud in sight. Temperatures are expected to start out in the 50s for tonight’s game, while tonight’s low is expected to be around 32 degrees.

Broncos vs. Giants Traffic Report

4:14 p.m. MST: Chris Simms and Brandon Stokley are amongst the first Broncos to take the field. Simms is currently throwing 20-yard passes, and Stokley was the signal caller’s target a few moments ago.

4:20 p.m. MST: While listening to music, Mario Haggan is stretching out his legs in the end zone. All season long the Broncos have alternated its end zone designs. Tonight, the pattern is identical to Sunday’s contest, with alternating blue and orange diamonds.

4:24 p.m. MST: Matt Prater is loosening up his leg for this evening’s contest. With the ball positioned on a tee at the 16-yard line, Prater is booting kicks right through the uprights.

4:28 p.m. MST: Kyle Orton made his way onto the field a few minutes ago. After coming out of the tunnel, Orton began stretching out his lower body. Now he is warming up his arm with a few short throws. Giants signal caller Eli Manning is also out on the field.

4:33 p.m. MST: Although only a handful of Broncos are on the field, there is plenty going on. Alphonso Smith is fielding punts from the jug machine, Orton is throwing passes to Brandon Marshall and Tyler Polumbus and Brandon Gorin are working on their blocking technique.

4:37 p.m. MST: Head Coach Josh McDaniels has made his way out of the tunnel. He is on the Denver sideline overlooking the field as various players warm up.

4:49 p.m. MST: The Broncos’ rookie trio of defensive backs — Darcel McBath, David Bruton and Smith — have been warming up together for the past 10 minutes or so. All three are stretching out their legs to loosen up.

4:55 p.m. MST: Just got word of the Broncos’ inactives for tonight’s game, they are: Kenny McKinley, LaMont Jordan, Seth Olsen, Chris Baker, Ryan Harris, Brandon Lloyd, Jarvis Moss and Tom Brandstater, who will act as the third quarterback.

4:57 p.m. MST: For the Giants, Ramses Barden, D.J. Johnson, Kevin Dockery, Ahmad Bradshaw, Antonio Pierce, Adam Koets, Guy Whimper and Sinorice Moss are inactive for this evening’s contest.

5:01 p.m. MST: Only a few players are on the field at the moment. Lawrence Tynes is the lone Giant on the field. He just attempted a 67-yard field goal, which came up a bit short. Eddie Royal and D.J. Williams are also out on the field. Royal is working with wide receivers coach Adam Gase on route running and Williams is stretching out his lower body near the goal line.

5:07 p.m. MST: Matt Prater, Mitch Berger and Lonie Paxton are the first Broncos out of the tunnel in full uniform. The team is going with its traditional blue home jerseys along with blue pants for tonight’s game.

5:21 p.m. MST: A few more specialists have made their way onto the field for the Broncos — Eddie Royal, Alphonso Smith, Spencer Larsen and Peyton Hillis.

5:26 p.m. MST: The Broncos’ quarterbacks have made their way out of the tunnel in full uniform a few minutes ago. Orton is currently firing 25-yard passes to offensive coaching assistant Ben McDaniels.

5:30 p.m. MST: New York’s entire roster is out on the field stretching in unison.

5:31 p.m. MST: Led out of the tunnel by a sprinting Knowshon Moreno, the Broncos have made their way onto the field for their group pregame warm-up session.

5:35 p.m. MST: In the north end zone, tight ends coach Clancy Barone is working with his unit on technique. Barone and Daniel Graham, Tony Scheffler and Richard Quinn just broke from a huddle and look ready for action.

5:37 p.m. MST: The Broncos just concluded their customary pregame team huddle in the south end zone, and the squad is now warming up as a unit with strength and conditioning coach Rich Tuten.

5:44 p.m. MST: Defensive backs coach Ed Donatell is working with his unit on footwork and snagging interceptions. Among that group is Ty Law, who will play in his 200th regular-season contest tonight.

5:49 p.m. MST: Denver’s linebacking corps appears amped for the game. The unit just concluded a group huddle in the north end zone and are currently working with linebackers coach Don Martindale on catching sharply thrown passes.

5:52 p.m. MST: The Broncos offense and defense are lined up against one another and are going through a series of 11-on-11s. Orton just connected with Marshall on a deep pass down the right sideline.

5:55 p.m. MST: To a loud ovation from the home crowd, the Broncos just ran back into the tunnel for some last-minute preparation. There is now less than a half hour until kickoff.

6:02 p.m. MST: Children who have taken part in the NFL’s Play60 initiative — which strives to get kids to participate in physical activity each day — were just honored at midfield.

6:09 p.m. MST: New York punter Jeff Feagles is getting in a few last-minute punts before the contest. Meanwhile, Lawrence Tynes is working on kickoffs.

6:13 p.m. MST: The Broncos have made their way back onto the field to a standing ovation and offensive starters are currently being introduced.
