15:00: Matt Prater is out to attempt the short field goal attempt. From 20-yards out, Prater is good.
Broncos 17 – Falcons 13, 14:56 remaining.
14:56: Harry Douglas is now back deep for the Falcons. He is replacing Jerious Norwood, who suffered a rib injury. His return is questionable.
Douglas is stopped by Louis Green, first down Falcons at the 23-yard line.
14:15: After short runs by Michael Turner and Matt Ryan, the Falcons have a third and nine that falls incomplete. Flag down, looks like offsides. Yep, Jarvis Moss got going a little quick. Third and five.
12:38: The Falcons convert the Broncos mistake into a first down and the Falcons are now on the Denver side of the field.
12:00: Time is called as Bronco is banged up. It is Kenny Peterson, looks like he is alright as he walks off on his own power.
Spencer Larsen — who has to be tired at this point — stops Turner short of the first down. Another third down for the Falcons… Ryan in the gun, finds Finneran underneath for the first down. Good blitz pick up by the Falcons.
Another Bronco is down, looks like Marquand Manuel. It is Manuel, he is helped off the field by the Broncos training staff. Vernon Fox has come in to replace him.
10:58: Turner gets his longest run of the day and a touchdown going in from 28-yards and the Falcons are back on top.
Falcons 20 – Broncos 17, 10:41 remaining.
10:41: Broncos start with the ball at the 17-yard line… Cutler gives to P.J. Pope, who is stood up by Domonique Foxworth for a 3-yard gain. Second down, Cutler looks for Scheffler down the middle of the field, but he is well covered. Third and seven… The Atlanta crowd is on their feet, Cutler in the gun looks deep and hits Brandon Marshall for a big gain and a first down. Gain of 47 yards.
That was Marshall’s longest catch of the year.
8:41: Carries by Peyton Hillis and Pope give the Broncos a first down.
7:41: Tatum Bell shows he still has his burst, picking up nine yards and then a first down. But the first down is coming back, Chris Kuper is flagged for holding.
7:21: Second and 12 from the Atlanta 22-yard line. Cutler finds Hillis, who tip toes for a first down. Nice body control on the sideline. 14-yard gain and first and goal. After a Hillis run, the crowd noise causes the Broncos to false start. Second and goal from the nine.
5:48: Third and goal from the 9-yard line, Cutler scrambles and finds Daniel Graham for the touchdown. Prater is good and the Broncos have taken the lead.
Broncos 24 – Falcons 20, 5:35 remaining.
That is Graham’s fourth touchdown reception in the last five games.
5:32: Norwood is back and returns it to the Atlanta 24-yard line.
4:15: Elvis Dumervil gets a great jump, but just misses Ryan. Ryan fires it deep, but incomplete. On second down, Ryan hits White for 12 yards and the first down.
3:10: Falcons at midfield is nearly picked off by Jamie Winborn. Winborn had it in his hands, but could not hang on. Third and seven, Ryan in the gun with split backs. Broncos bring pressure but Ryan stands tall and hits Finneran for the first down. 13-yard gain.
2:10: Just before the two-minute warning, Winborn stops Turner for no gain.
2:00: Falcons have it, second and ten at the Broncos 38-yard line. Both teams have all three timeouts remaining.
Ryan remains in the gun, he is pressured and throws the ball away. Flag on the play, former Bronco Tyson Clabo is flagged for holding. Second and 20 from the 47-yard line.
1:52: Ryan hits Jason Snelling on second down for two yards. Third and 18, Ryan gets the snap and looks towards White in the back of the endzone. He is there, it is in his hands… but he drops it. Fourth down.
1:06: Falcons call a timeout facing a fourth and 18. And right after that timeout, the Broncos call one of their own to talk about the offensive alignment.
Broncos have six defensive backs out. Ryan gets the snap and overthrows Michael Jenkins. Broncos ball.
0:58: Cutler comes out to the field and pitches to Bell. Gain of three yards and the Falcons call a timeout.
0:52: Cutler pitches to Bell who falls in front of the first down marker. Falcons call their last timeout, but the Broncos pick up the first down sealing the ball game.
Well looks like they are going to review the spot. I spoke too soon.
Reversed the call again, third down from the 46.
0:45: Another pitch to Bell, who gets the first down and then falls down. Now, that should seal the victory.
And it does, the Broncos move to 6-4 after defeating the Atlanta Falcons 24-20.

That was a great team win! I agree with West Coast…Spencer, Wesley and Jamie are playing great! There is no doubt that we have a very talented young team.
That was a big win… GO BRONCOS!
I knew that as long as a leader like Cutler would just hold his poise and stay calm, cool and collected he would have the same effect on the other players on both sides of the ball. Since he’s one of the captains that’s actually active – how he carries himself, how he acts on and off the field, etc, it will rub off on the others. I’m very proud of him and how he has just helped bring this team back to its feet. We needed this so bad and we’ve got some irreplacable leaders in Champ, Cutler, Shanahan, Stokley that can help us stay on our feet and get over those 4 losses that should have never happened. LOVE you #6!! Keep it up – you the man!!
As for the rookies, I only have one word – WOW!!!! Boy, did they really come out and play. They gave it their all and proved that they are worth a chance and for Tatum he didn’t have many carries but the ones he did have he proved he hasn’t lost his touch. Larsen was just fun to watch and he was definitely worth a shot. Royal – extraordinary as usual, this guy has been so crucial to our game. And Hillis – what a guy!! Very much worth a chance and he’s been awesome to watch. I’m truly at a loss for words about him.
So glad the Chargers lost – I saw it all and it was funny!!!! They keep getting screwed over at the very last minute and just watching Crybaby Rivers react makes it even better!! Glad we’re back up by 2 games over them and we’ll be up by 3 next week. I can’t imagine them getting a win over the Colts and we so have the Oakies. Now I know we’re going to get a win over them I just know it, but our guys can’t show up to the game thinking there’s no need to try b/c if we don’t try then that’s how the bad stuff happens. If they come out all cocky and everything and we don’t at least try Oakland is going to get the win. If we play like we did against them in week 1 – just completely dominate – oh my word the score will go through the roof. There’s my 2 cents.
This TEAM is going to be back on top everywhere in the NFL like we were in week 1. Our toughest games though will be Carolina, the Jets and SD at the very end. Keep up the GREAT work Orange & Blue.
GO BRONCOS!!!!!
That was a great team win. Lots of positives and a few negatives.
Positives: Linebacker core did amazing. Running back core did well.(take that those of u doubting bell. He wasn’t bad). Jay spread the ball well. The beast did what he does best, YAC and Big catches.
Negatives. Safeties are still struggling (and that is bad for our supposed last line of defense). Bly was getting torched but got 1 INT any CB coulda gotten (I think he is getting old). We were unable to get Sheffler really involved in game.
Overall great game. great win. 2 win streak. Lets keep it going. I don’t see anything stopping us from going undefeated the rest of the season. We are getting Healthier and better as a team. All I gotta say is….. Go Broncos!!!!
i am still not completly sold on tatum but he did play very smart at the end of the game by going down in bounds after picking up big gains. as for right now the what 8 carries he did have he did show he got rid of his side line to side line running but we will ave to see if its really gone. how about that other kid Pope, he didn’t do to bad at all i mean i was really impressed. our d did pretty good but like gami stated some negatives like our secondary still a little shaky like dre, he did a fairly good job and the last three games he’s done good but why is it he can cover other teams number one wide outs for the most part but when he is stuck on the second guy in line he is burnt like toast in a over for hours, i mean holly crap. our sfteis did good considering they were blitzing most of the time and granted they didn’t play to bad but still they could be better. i see now why mike wanted winborn in the game cause he does make some good plays but i think when everyone is healthy our linebacker core is gonna be woodyard dj and larsen. way to go broncos, lets keep this up game ball goes to the linebacking core for pretty much keeping turner down towards what 3.1 yards a carry average or something near that, but also under 100 yards.
That game was Awesome!!! Got back from it about 3 hours ago. Best game Ive ever been to. Man, the Broncos really played as a team and WAY to GO Defense! Wow, still got the shakes after seeing that 50yard catch by B-Marsh, I was right there on the 1st row. Man, someone slap me please. LOL. Enjoy the trip back, I hope to see ya’ll in Atlanta real soon.
GO BRONCOS!!!!!!
just think about how much better our defense will be with champ bailey and DJ williams?!?! Just those two guys can make a huge difference…
great win, we showed we can compete even with injures (which we couldnt do last year), and Jay is playing at MVP status.
GO BRONCOS!!
I’ve never been so proud to be a Broncos fan as I am right now. This team has overcome so much adversity (injuries, sketchy officiating in some instances) and affliction to be at 6-4. Meanwhile, the Chargers continue to gag, thanks Steelers! San Diego can cry and moan all they want about how they were jammed against the Broncos in Week 2, but the point of the matter is we’re 6-4 and they’re 4-6 so suck on that for a while Chargers fan. Keep it up, it’s time to crush the Faiders!
no TO on offense , a good run defense , a good running offense and it’s a win , it’s that simple !!! Our linebackers corp was tremendous , never quitting on the play and tackling . For the first time this year , i saw a unit playing together whith heart .Whith DJ and Champ soon back , there’s hope .And just a word on Tatum : just a week ago , he was out of football selling phones , he ran like the second rounder he was few years ago , i expect a 100 yard from him very soon .
Very proud of my broncos team today .
I’M JUST GOING TO SAY THIS 1 TIME!!!
FOR ALL YOU PEOPLE THAT HAVE HATED ON THIS DEFENSE AND WONDERED WHY AND THE H*LL WE WANTED LARSEN IN AT LINEBACKER, YOU NOW KNOW WHY!!!
P.S. RIVERS YOU STILL ARE A FREAKIN BOTTOM FEEDER AND OH BY THE WAY, YOUR TEAM SUCKS!
BRONCOS AMAZING WIN! CONGRATULATIONS ON A AWESOME TEAM EFFORT!
GO GET EM’ BOYS!
I’m so happy for the team. The D played outstanding they showed that they have lots of heart. The young fellas have stepped up awesome. way to go team. Also I think Eddie should start getting some considerations for rookie of the year. this guy is a stud and has come up big for us all year.
I agree G-Funk and if it wasnt for QB Matt Ryan (Falcons) and maybe even HB Chris Johnson (Titans), It would be a done deal. He is an all round player….I mean really, is there anything that kid can’t do? Outstanding WR, elusive KR/PR, runs the ball sometimes…..now if only we could get him to play defense, he might not be a bad CB/Safety lol. Bottom line is he doesnt play like a rookie and he is humble too.
WOW awesome game. Maybe now the so called NFL experts will get off our run Defense a little. Look at the last three games. NO 100 yard rushers. Turner was shut down for the most part. If it wasn’t for three rushes he would be under 30 yards for the game. I like the situational schemes for Dummervil. It puts more bulk on the line for the running downs.
