12:00 p.m. MST: Ah, good to be back at INVESCO Field after an off week. It’s football time again in Broncos Country. It’s a warm day in Denver — right now Weather.com says it’s 71 degrees, and the high could get up to 75 — so it’s no surprise that it looks like more players than normal are out on the field warming up a little early. It’s nice out there.
Brandon Marshall is on the field in his trademark pajama bottoms, and Jay Cutler is throwing passes to a few receivers — Brandon Stokley just ran a quick post route.
12:05 p.m. MST: There’s a lot of orange on the field — mostly hats and gloves, but players from both teams are sporting the bright color during warm-ups. I feel like I’m at a University of Tennessee game. Or Texas, whichever UT you prefer.
12:08 p.m. MST: Just saw a happy couple — one was wearing a Ronnie Brown jersey and the other donning D.J. Williams’ No. 55. I wonder if they planned to portray one of the more crucial matchups for this afternoon — those two could run into each other on the field quite a bit today.
12:10 p.m. MST: Kenny Peterson said earlier this week that it’s a copycat league, and he expects more and more teams to begin catching on to the “Wildcat” formation that has made headlines in Miami this season. Kansas City is proving him right — they’ve run the two-running-backs-in-the-backfield-and-a-quarterback-out-wide formation a few times, and one play started in that formation, turned into a reverse, then turned into a wide receiver pass to quarterback Tyler Thigpen, who was streaking wide open down the field for a touchdown. Speaking of which, did anybody else see a 21-3 KC lead over Tampa Bay coming?
12:13 p.m. MST: I’ll go down in a couple minutes to get some pictures from the field. Jake Grilley’s already down there diligently snapping some photos.
12:51 p.m. MST: Just got the inactives for today’s game. Champ Bailey, Tim Crowder, Vernon Fox, Chad Jackson, Glenn Martinez, Tony Scheffler, Josh Shaw and Selvin Young will sit out of this afternoon’s contest.
A couple of depth chart updates for today’s game to go along with it — Peyton Hillis will start at fullback for Spencer Larsen, Michael Pittman will start at running back for Selvin Young and Karl Paymah will start at left cornerback for Champ Bailey.
I’m about to post the photos from the field. It is definitely warm out there.
1:04 p.m. MST: About an hour until kickoff. Here are the shots from the field.

1:37 p.m. MST: The team just huddled up and now the players are leaving the field. The cheerleaders are all in the Broncos bench area and music is pumping through the speakers — game time is creeping up.
1:57 p.m. MST: The offense is being introduced as the team runs onto the field. Jay Cutler is the last to be introduced to a loud ovation, and he met Brandon Marshall in midair halfway down the line of cheerleaders. Now some of the players are sprinting into the endzone, and Nate Webster just hyped up the crowd. Now they’re on the sideline for the National Anthem.
2:01 p.m. MST: After a fly-over by some F-15s, the captains are headed out to midfield for the coin toss. See you in the first quarter blog.

Who will return kicks today?
Please post where I can see the game online
rev79 –
Not sure who will be returning kicks today. All season it’s been Andre Hall back there with Peyton Hillis either beside him or just in front of him. I would expect that to continue today, but I can’t tell you for sure.
And as far as punts, I’m not sure about that, especially with Glenn Martinez inactive. It could mean we see Royal back there, but once again I don’t know anything for certain.
Itd be really great to see royal back returning he is a really talented playerin many aspects.
Im a fan living in Ohio which im sure you know isnt near denver really therefore i dont get the game. Anyone know where i can find it on the interent? getting close to gametime and im stressing cant find it =[

Torain was listen as questionable on the injury report, but he’s active for today’s game and was out warming up with the rest of the team. Michael Pittman is the starter at running back, and Head Coach Mike Shanahan said earlier this week he’d rather not have Torain play today so he can have more rest. But with Selvin Young inactive again, he could see some action. We’ll see as the game progresses.
I’m so excited… can’t wait to see how our offense does today and I’m praying to God like a mad person that our D steps up their game!!! They’re gonna have to… they need to prove themselves and they need to make themselves better for the sake of their jobs but also for the sake of this team. It’s just that simple. Our D has to improve… no questions asked.
Like everyone else, I’m so pumped up to see if T-Train gets a few carries or if he even gets to be on the field. I can’t imagine why Shanny wouldn’t put him out there for awhile. I’m dying to see what this guy can do for our offense and our running game – can you just imagine the numbers he would put up for this team?? Whew!!! We’d be a rockin’ and a rollin’ if we just let this guy loose. It’s about time!!
I’ve got more than enough faith in our Orange & Blue… now its their time to prove that we’re not just a good football team but that we’re a GREAT football team. More than anything they need to shut up all the nay-sayers out there and critics. We shut ‘em up in Week 1… keep it going!!!
Bring home another WIN… only Cutler & Co. can do it!!
GO BRONCOS!!!!
Does anyone have an online link to the game?
Thank you.
thats what i need Hook It Up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And the debacle continues 4-4, Thank you Shanahan. Go home its time
