15:00: The crowd at INVESCO Field at Mile High is still booing from an offensive pass interference call on Brandon Marshall, and the Broncos face a third-and-24 from their own 15 to begin the quarter.
Cutler avoids pressure from Joey Porter, stepping up in the pocket and launching a ball downfield toward Brandon Stokley. A Miami defender steps in front of the pass, however, for an interception at the Denver 43-yard line.
14:52: First-and-10 Miami, and the handoff is to Ronnie Brown. He’s brought down by Jarvis Moss for a loss of two.
On second-and-12, Chad Pennington floats a pass between the Denver defense for a 23-yard reception to Greg Camarillo. It’s first-and-10 for Miami on the Denver 22-yard line. Pennington takes the snap in the shotgun and hands the ball off to Brown — he’s brought down for a loss of one yard.
12:50: Brown takes another handoff and he’s immediately brought down by Jamie Winborn. The play gained no yards, and it’s third-and-11 from the Denver 23 for Miami. Pennington is almost sacked, but avoids the pressure and gets the ball off — but it’s incomplete. Dan Carpenter is out to attempt a field goal. The 41-yarder is good, and it puts the Dolphins ahead of the Broncos, 19-10.
11:58: Eddie Royal is back deep for Denver to return the kickoff. Peyton Hillis is just in front of him. The crowd at INVESCO is chanting, “Eddie, Eddie, Eddie,” as the kickoff is on its way — it’s a touchback, fielded by Royal in the back of the endzone.
Denver starts its drive from its own 20-yard line. Cutler drops back and lets loose a fly ball down the right sideline — and into the outstretched arms of Peyton Hillis. Hillis keeps sprinting down the field and is brought down, but not before a gain of 47 yards down to the Miami 33-yard line.
11:22: Cutler’s pass on first down is incomplete, and on second down he lofts a pass to Marshall in the middle of the endzone. It’s incomplete as he’s bracketed by two defenders, but there’s a flag on the play. It’s pass interference on the defense, and the ball is at the one-yard line, first and goal.
Kory Lichtensteiger is declared eligible, and Cutler drops back, rolls right and avoids pressure as Hillis breaks toward the endzone. Cutler finds him and Hillis finds his way in for a touchdown. Prater’s extra point is good, and the Broncos have pulled within two points.
Miami leads Denver, 19-17. It was a 48-second touchdown drive for Denver.
11:10: Prater booms the kickoff 10 yards deep in the endzone, and Miami will start its drive from the 20.
INVESCO Field at Mile High is shaking — when I can feel it in the press box it’s a pretty good indication of how loud it is out there.
ThunderVision is playing a video that has the fans — and the defense — hyped up. “Live like there’s no tomorrow” is displayed above the screen.
10:35: A five-yard gain on first down has the Dolphins in a second-and-5 situation. Pennington finds Camarillo near the sideline for the first down, and he runs out of bounds to stop the clock.
10:23: Camarillo makes another catch on first down, an eight-yard pickup to the Miami 41-yard line. Ricky Williams picks up the first down on the following play, down to the Miami 45-yard line.
8:38: Off of a play-action, Pennington lofts a pass downfield that is over the head of his intended receiver and almost intercepted by a diving Marlon McCree. Second-and-10 for Miami and Pennington is in the shotgun. The pass is complete to Davone Bess, and he falls down but crawls for the first down before being touched down.
7:45: Pennington hands off to Williams, but he’s dropped by several Broncos at the line of scrimmage. It’s called a gain of one yard, and the crowd is chanting, “Defense!”
Pennington fakes a handoffand he’s sacked by Elvis Dumervil. Holding is called on Jake Long, and the penalty is accepted. It’s a 10-yard penalty, bringing up second-and-19. The chants of “Defense!” are getting louder.
6:45: Pennington’s in the shotgun and tries to find Ted Ginn, Jr. near the sideline, but he was bobbling the pass as he went out of bounds — incomplete, and third-and-19.
6:37: Pennington takes the snap in the shotgun and narrowly avoids being sacked on a big blitz, but he floats the ball over the defense on a screen to Ronnie Brown, who scrambles very close to the first down marker.
6:18: After a measurement, it’s fourth and less than a yard for the Dolphins at the Denver 35-yard line. The Miami offense is staying on the field. The crowd is on its feet as Pennington hands the ball off — and it requires a measurement, but Miami got the first down.
4:50: Pennington completes a pass immediately to Camarillo for another first down at the 22. On first down, Pennington hands the ball to Brown, who is brought down in bounds by Dre’ Bly for a loss of three yards.
4:02: Pennington lofts a pass to Anthony Fasano, and it looks like the pass is headed right into the arms of Calvin Lowry for an interception, but Fasano gets his hand in to break up the interception and almost come away with the catch — but Lowry breaks it up.
3:59: On third-and-13 from the 25-yard line, Pennington finds Ricky Williams at the two-yard line to set up first-and-goal.
3:08: Brown scampers two yards for the touchdown on the following play. The extra point is good and the Dolphins lead the Broncos 26-17.
It’s a 15-play, 80-yard touchdown drive that spanned 8:02 for the Dolphins.
UPDATE: D.J. Williams has a sprained right knee and Marlon McCree sprained left ankle, both on the same play — the Ronnie Brown screen pass that set up the fourth-and-1. Both are out for the remainder of the game.
2:59: Holding is called on the Broncos during the kickoff return. The offense will set up at their own nine-yard line.
Royal catches a Cutler pass at the 24-yard line, and the Broncos hurry up to the line. Cutler takes the ball in the shotgun and tries to get it to Marshall, but it falls incomplete — and there is a flag on the play. It’s an illegal formation on the Broncos, only six men on the line of scrimmage.
2:33: That makes it first-and-15 for the Broncos at the 20-yard line. Cutler’s pass is knocked down at the line of scrimmage. On second-and-15, Cutler takes the snap in the shotgun and sends Daniel Graham in motion out wide.
Cutler finds Royal for a gain of about 12. It’s third-and-4 for the Broncos and Cutler is in shotgun again. He finds Stokley for the first down, and he’s hit as he throws.
That’s the two-minute warning.
1:56: First-and-10 for the Broncos at their own 42. Cutler hands off to Andre Hall, and he takes it to the right side for a gain of seven yards. On the next play Cutler launches it downfield toward Stokley, but it’s just past his reach and it falls incomplete.
Third-and-3 for the Broncos at their own 49. Cutler is in the shotgun and he finds Marshall. Royal lays a nice block and Marshall fights his way to the sideline. There’s a flag on the play, however.
They’re calling Royal’s block a block in the back.
Because of the penalty, the ball is brought back and it’s short of a first down. Third-and-1, and Cutler finds Hall on the run, and he runs out of bounds after picking up the first down.
1:18: Cutler avoids pressure, steps up in the pocket and tries to find Marshall in the middle of the field. It looks like Marshall would have taken a big hit, but the ball goes just through his hands and it’s actually the defender who ends up on the turf after the collision.
1:04: After an incomplete pass into the endzone in the direction of Brandon Marshall, the Broncos face a third-and-10 from the Miami 41. Cutler is in shotgun and throws the ball over the head of Stokley — it goes through his outstretched arms.
0:58: Fourth-and-10 for the Broncos. Cutler is in the shotgun. He drops back and tries to get the ball to Royal, but it’s broken up. Turnover on downs.
0:00: After Miami took over on downs, Pennington took two knees to end the game.
The Dolphins win the game against the Broncos, 26-17. The Broncos’ next game is in Cleveland. Denver travels to play the Browns this Thursday.

Well we have to face it the broncos aren’t very good. Denver offense played three games this year. Our defense played one game this year. We need to try to sign KGB our defense can’t get any worse. I don’t know if shanny can get us back to the promise land. Maybe it is time to get coach bill cohwer in here to establish the run and have balanced offense. Denver starts off throwing then we start to run, Culter finds one receiver to throw too and then keys on him the whole game maybe he should just find the open man. Just another season of heartbreak and ridicule.
I’ve seen a lot of comments about Cutler and his interceptions. I don’t excuse some of the throws today because they were terrible. His head coach needs to cut the receiver route distance down and let the kid build some confidence and manage the game. I see everyone reciever running 10-15 yard routes and Cutler forcing footballs where they shouldn’t go. One other thing, the offense has to have a running game, period. Solid running game eats the clock and wears down an opposing defense. I can’t count the number of drives this year (except for today) where Denver would start on their own 20, run the ball to the opponents 35 yard line and then start throwing the ball only to go 3 and out with. Not good. Cutler knows he needs to play better but I think he’s trying to damn hard to win games. He needs to learn to manage drives and eat the clock. If he can t learn to do that he’ll be a great one.
I have faith in the broncos this season were gonna go 9-7 and win the division. Sure we lost today against Miami but ohh well. Mock my words we are gonna beat the Browns so that 5-4, then at atlanta were gonna be 6-4, next comes raiders we were defiantly gonna win that game so far 7-4. were gonna lost against jets Favre is gonna slaughter our defense 7-5. then beat Kansas 8-5. lose to carolina were gonna be so far 8-6.Last but not least were gonna lost to San Diego. Overall record prediction “9-7″ Win AFC WEST. Lost in the div playoffs.
We should of won today too many penalties, the zebras out thier made stupid calls, and our defense needs to cause more turnovers and 3and outs. Keep Starting Jarvis moss he seems damn good to me.
Cutlers confidence is gone… it was clearly visable during the game. We have no running game and the Dolphins defense had Cutler and the receving corp in their back pocket. We are not utilizing the TE much since Scheffler went down. Nice to the Broncs utilize FB Peyton Hillis who only had one catch before todays game. He and Royal were the only bright spots on offense today. Our Defense seem to do better with the 4-3 but still could not muster enough pressure on Chad P. Definitely came up short on that last drive when Miami scored to go up by nine. That was hearbreaking. What a terrible call on B-Marsh on the TD…. another heartbreaking play. Oh well there’s always next week…. yeah right.. maybe next year.
Brandon Marshall even said it play bump and run. He couldn’t name the receiver on the other team. We knew going into the game that Pennington had a high comp % but lacks arm strength. So why not challenge there wr. I think Cutler had a bad game but they had a chance and once again the D let them down with no in game adjustments. Shanahan just sits there and twidles his thumbs and Slowik just plain STINKS………
Anyone who thinks they have chance and against Cleveland think again these types of loses just kill a team. I love are young tackles but Hamilton has been beat time and time again, and are run game sucks right now. Torain looked really slow and out of sorts.
I do like Hillis and Royal and #34 Josh Bell looked capable.
I am a die hard Broncos fan living in San Diego. I was born in Colorado and have been a fan since the first game I ever watched. It’s discouraging to read all of the negative posts. Living in San Diego and listening to all the whining Charger fans, I am rather disappointed with many of the blogs some of you post. It’s one thing to be frustrated, but to trash talk when you don’t even play the game, who the freak are you to criticize. I am an Elway fan just like the rest of you, but even the great Elway would have struggled without a run game. In fact, we didn’t win a Super Bowl until we found a running game. Cutler is a great QB. Yes, he has made some bad plays, but for those of you that say he needs to go, you are a fool. This is a young team that is only a year or two away from being the team we all want them to be. Just like Elway needed to win a Super Bowl, we need a freaking running game and a D that makes the big play when the big play is needed. This is a team game and the team lost. I don’t blame the O or the D. The refs need to stop influencing the game. They got us back for the SD game in the Jax game. If they don’t call that PI on B Marsh, it’s a different freaking game. Anyone that says this is the worst Broncos team ever is biased or not a true fan. There were some pretty bad teams and years during Elway’s reign. I will always have faith and I’ll always be a fan. Keep the faith and don’t be like Charger fans fellow Broncos fan. GO BRONCOS!!!! Let’s beat the Browns on Thursday night!
The only chance Denver has to win division is if San Deigo(a.k.a a whale vagina) keeps losing.
Broncomania56… its yes, ma’am to you, mister!!! And this season is NOT NOT NOT over. Its only November, THERE ARE 8 games left pretty boy so don’t get your ruffles all fluffed up, okay. The season is not over, get that through your noggin. Anything and I mean anything can happen in 8 games. It’s negative stupid worthless pointless rants like yours that help destroy this team’s confidence and motivation to do better. You’re a sad little thing.
There is plenty for this team to work on and hopefully they can fix it (or at least the majority of it) by Thursday. If that fruitcake of a ref hadn’t called that ridiculous PI on Marshall than we probably would’ve won the game and you nay-sayers would be eating your words!!!!!! There were more than enough mistakes to go around on everyone – us, the fishies and definitely the refs. I can’t believe the refs got away with that call.
If you’re a TRUE Bronco fan, you’ll keep the faith in this team, No matter what and let these nay-sayers live in their misery. We will come around as a team and when we do you nay-sayers will be sorry you gave up on this team so early.
broncofannsd – very good post!! Cutler is a great QB, he’s still young and still has room to grow. We may be looking pretty darn bad right now but we could be ALOT worse. Let me ask all you nay-sayers a question – would you rather be where we are now or be the 1-7 Chiefs? Just a simple yes or no question. Or would you be rather be the Raiders who get shut out in about every game they play?? We’re stuck right in the middle of Greatness and terrible – mediocracy is not what this team is all about, we all know that, but at least we have a light at the end of our tunnel. We’ve got 8 games to improve greatly. They have the opportunity sitting in the palm of their hand but they have to take it and run with it – like the wind.
We had some pretty big bright spots, like Royal, its like he has a motor on his feet, it ridiculous. Very glad we have him and Hillis, where has all that been?? Its like he popped out of nowhere. Hopefully, Torain will get more chances to play on Thursday. We’ve got the talent – we just have to use it!!
Keep the faith Broncos Country!
GO BRONCOS!!!!!!
07elway…thanks! “And this season is NOT NOT NOT over. You’re a sad little thing.” Nice! I couldn’t have said it better. Loved your post. Keep the positive comments coming and go Broncos!
It’s ok to be frustrated, but there is a difference between negativity and frustration. It’s much easier being a critic than a player or a coach.
This game really showed us how bad and inconsistent this team is.
Oh, and all of yall, “Oh Torain! thank god youre back! i cant wait to see you plow over porter and get a ton of yards!” ya, he really did a whole hell of alot. and thats not negativity, thats truth.
Oh, let me pull up torains stats, 3 carries for a yard!
let me tell you, the kid is really something. hes amazing!
Oh, and does anyone else agree that lowry is the worst safety in the universe?
Wait i have an idea!!!
wait till next year…
HA and ONE more, then im done.
30-10 browns. i can almost guarantee.
07 Elway, yes it’s a team sport, and it cannot be placed on one man’s shoulders, however do you really believe this team is playing to their full potential? Do you not see the crap that is happening? It’s hard to be positive, when there is so much negativity happening on the field. There needs to be change in a positive direction and that starts with the play on the field. These guys get paid millions to entertain us, critiquing them, negative or positive comes with the territory.
Faith in the Broncos? Always, but I can assure you I’m not a happy fan this season. Do really feel the players are happy with their performance?
actually, hard work, getting their asses out of the clubs and into the games and not acting like prima donnas might save this team.
The entire TEAM needs to learn to tackle. The entire TEAM needs to learn to play 4 quarters, and the entire TEAM needs to act like they want to win.
So far this year, all we have seen are some amazing individual performances. What we have not seen (with the possible exceptions of weeks 1 & 2) is a concerted effort by the entire TEAM (offense and defense) and the coaching staff. John Elway proved it year after year: heroic individual performance in this league will win you just enough games to be an also-ran with good stats.
The entire TEAM needs to seriously examine the focus and get on the same page and decide they want to win. Injuries and bogus calls by blind (or biased) zebras happen, but true champions find a way to win. And that usually requires additional production by other members of the TEAM.
Given all that, the TEAM needs a LEADER and it does not appear that they have one at the moment. That means Shanahan needs to step up and get the TEAM fired up enough that someone will take the lead.
There are still games to play, but in order to make a decent showing, the entire TEAM will need to demonstrate a significant desire to win. Something that has been lacking the past month.
i meant one more comment then im done.
ill be a bronco fan until the day i die. also, it was torains fault he was taken out. if he wouldve gained some decent yards, i doubt he would have been taken out.
one last thing,
for what these guys get paid, the only legitimate response they have to fan criticism is to play better.
It’s a kid’s game and they get millions of dollars a year. They should be thanking every single fan after every single game.
And when they screw up hugely (in some cases, week after week) and continue to spout bs platitudes about “we need to get better” the fans have every right to be disappointed and even angry.
If they give up because of that, fire them and find somebody who really wants the job.
Broncomania56 – no of course their not playing to their full potential and I NEVER said that. However, did you ever think that there’s hope for this team, ever?? They can change, its up to them to do it. And honey, I’m not blind at all to the crappy ways they’ve been playing. Any person with two eyes can see that. I know its hard to be positive – that’s where FAITH comes in. You have to trust that at some point, I’m not saying it’ll happen overnight (Rome wasn’t built in a day) they will change and get better. You have every right to criticize and bash this team but that’s all you’re doing – bashing the team you’re gonna still “cheer for”. What true fan bashes their own team like some of you have?? Yes I’m frustrated – who isn’t, you wouldn’t be human if you weren’t frustrated with this team right now – but thinking positive and keeping the faith can do wonders for this team. And you keep putting words in my mouth that I NEVER said. I am in no way happy with what they’ve done, I know they’re better but I don’t go around bashing this team. They are a million times better than what they’ve shown since the KC game. I’ve been a fan of this team my entire life, I like many of you, was born with Orange & Blue blood – but I truly care that I won’t say really negative things about them. It never helps the situation, EVER!!!!!!!!
You have a right to your opinion… but you can’t say this season is over when it really isn’t. We have 8 games… fathom that… ANYTHING can happen. For all we know, we could get a miracle out of those 8 games. You never know. Try having some faith, its not easy but if they improve because we have faith in them and they improve their game… isn’t it worth it??? Heck yeah, it is!! There’s a lot this team needs to do to be better and change, they’ve got to fight for it. Do they really want it? Obviously we do, but as a TEAM its up to them to get better.
Positive comments come from those who see the light at the end of our very dark tunnel. The negative ones come from those who don’t see it or refuse to see it for whatever reason. I know the players see it, they just need to go after it.
And John Elway, fought to be better. He went through more struggles than I would have liked but by that he earned his Superbowl wins. Cutler is stuck in that struggle era… he’s gonna pull himself out of it, I just hope it doesn’t take another 16 years before we can get another SB win. I don’t know if I can wait that long, but I will if I have to. Cutler is very similar to Elway, and he’s gonna become his shadow sooner than alot of us think.
Again, the season is not over till its over. Just like in a game… the game is not over till its over… anything can happen. Just keep the faith, through the thick and thin. Isn’t this team worth it? Absolutely.
GO BRONCOS!!!!!
And again, BroncoBoy1993 – it was NOT Torain’s fault. This was his first game since the injury he had – give him a break, man. You know, instead of him just running over the other defense he’s also gonna run over you and then you’ll really be eating your own words!!
Go get ‘em in Cleveland, boys!!
With faith…
GO BRONCOS!!!!
words of a wise man, broncoinexile.
i completely agree.
ha and get this exile! Ryan Torain is going to come find me and run me over!
cant wait.
Gdinkel and Bronco Boy you guys are killing me, good stuff. I love our ability to rant on here when our team stinks. I think there are alot of positives from our season.
But to quote someone famous “My Friends” this season is over.
Next Season Shanny will bring in Mike Nolan as the d coordinator and they will draft heavy on the D side and hopefully go get a playmaker in Free Agency.
7-9 this season …………….. 10-6 Next Season…
Remember, Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila was just released by the Packers…I think it would be worth it to at least give him a call!!
broncofannsd…Great post. Im just up the 15 from you and could not have said it better. Our defense was much improved today even without Champ. Paymah got burned throughout but at least he had a pick which was not the case weak after weak for Bly. It will suck if DJ is out but maybe we will get a chance to see Wesley and Larsen. We need to get better across the board and that goes for our coaching staff and playcalling. Our offensive playcalling was terrible at best today. This team is capable of scoring in bunches we just need to pick ourselves up off the canvas and start punching back. Keep the faith….West Coast
Torain was taken out of the game because the coaches didn’t want to risk further injury to his elbow. Miami is in the top 10 in rush defense and our team is 19th in the league in rush offense. Today was his first NFL game, so criticizing him and saying it’s his fault he was taken out is a bit premature.
07elway…love your posts! Keep them coming…
West Coast…thanks! Always good to see a Broncos fan in Charger nation. The defense showed improvement and if our offense can find a running game, good things will come to this team. Losing DJ would suck, but I have confidence in Wesley and Larsen.
Maybe it’s because I always see the glass as half full, or maybe it’s because I refuse to bash on a team that I’ve cheered for all of my life, but the season is not over and I will always cheer, believe and have faith. The win vs. loss record doesn’t matter if you get in the playoffs. Look at the Giants last year. We are a game and a half ahead of the Chargers, so the season is far from over.
If your happy and you know it, clap your hands!!
If your happy and you know it, clap your hands!!
If your happy and you know it, then your face will surely show it!
If your happy and you know it, clap your hands!!
I DON’T HEAR ANY CLAPPING…….
Maybe because all you guys remember are the bad points and the end of the game. If you remember we had NO offense at the start of the game and fell behind early 13-0. Then what happened, Royal who we drafted FOR SPECIAL TEAMS PERFORMANCE got the ball on a kick off and went 96 yards to the 5 and we got 7 points out of it. Our defense having a short field on some turnovers that we have atleast 2 a game now held them to field goals every time! The offense allowed 7 points on the pick6 remember?
We only had what 14 yards rushing? You really don’t win a game with that solid of a 1 dimensional offense! Thank you for pointing out the positives. But to those of you like broncomania and bones SHUT UP!
If you want to quit on the season going into our 9th game then go ahead but stop trying to bring people with you. Real fans have real faith, the faith of a mustard seed will move a mountain. I said before Bly would have a solid performance, I don’t see one of you really bashing him now. THANK YOU! See what happens when you dont get the ball thrown at you 70+% of the time? Paymah was good as well, as I said evening up the field the qb sees will help the pass D. Run D was good as well, only one big play given up. WE SMOTHERED THE WILD CAT OFFENSE that other teams could not even think to do.
As I said the D will improve it did, Slowik is getting the guys on the same page. I think we need to have Shanny go back to calling the offense’s plays. See what Dallas’s defense did when Phillips being the “D guru” he is took the calls over? Shanny is “O guru” and he needs to go back to that.
That being said our defense allowed only 1 touchdown. Any team’s D that allows 1 touchdown, and the rest field goals having been given a short field 2 of the 6 times would be pleased with that. This loss is put on the offense, not moving the ball, not running the ball to even get 2 first downs? 14 FREAKING YARDS! Our other losses were bad offensive performances due to turnovers this one is because of the actual performance output. We will still make the playoffs because we will win the division.
Oh ya the Dolphins are a good team, stop saying they aren’t. They have a solid stout defense that can stop the run OBVIOUSLY and can take away your go to guy OBVIOUSLY AGAIN! Defense wins championships is what you all kept saying about our D, so how can you not see their’s is that calibar? They were +7 on turnover ration going into the game, so +9 now!
broncoinexile + Broncoboy1993 + Broncomania56 = 3 CHARGER FANS POSTING TO GET US DOWN! You three have no valid points at all, Torain was his first game back, 3 carries for 1 yard when the other team is focusing to stop the run was decent I thought. I mean we only had 14 yards rushing on how many carries? And you didn’t say anything about the other backs! “I can be a mean cuss, BUT I’M THE SAME MEAN CUSS TO EVERYONE!” If you all are going to come out of the woodworks to post and rant and rave, do the same thing after a good game. I can’t stand half hearted fans that only talk about a game when the team lost, I can not and WILL NOT verbally/knowingly associate myself with those of you! Again though, we will make the playoffs, and we will work out our kinks, next season FOR SURE BOTH OFFENSE AND DEFENSE WILL BE CLICKING AND WE WILL BE A TEAM TO RECKON WITH, CONTINUE TO IMPROVE FROM THERE BRONCOS!
07elway, keep the faith with me we have to make up for a lot of mediocre fans here! you know i love ya babe….
Look guys I’ve been saying to stay positive and I’m going to, We are still a playoff contending team and we still have a good chance to win the Division, so stay positive, look at our losses so far, how did we lose them, turnovers, not the offense or defense, but pathetic turnovers, Today it was on Cutler, he threw some careless passes, and Im sure he acknowledges that, I can’t say Im nervous about the season and how its gonna end up and hey im upset because I hate to see my team lose like that and be 4-4 after 4-1 but I am gonna say I still believe we have a great team, we just need to stop turning the ball over, I dont care how bad the dolphins are, we are still better, but if we turn the ball over like that, we are gonna lose, on the bright side our defense did all they can to keep us in the game not giving up a touchdown until the very end of the game, and Jarvis Moss played really good so I dont wanna hear those critics ever open their mouth again, Royal is stepping up, We can still be very good but now its a matter of turnovers that need to stop. I with the Broncos until the End, and we are only half way done, I look for Denver to make a statement this thursday!!!! against them Browns!!!! I BLEED ORANGE AND BLUE BABY!!!!
thank you 07elway…u’ve backed up all my points,,,,enjoyed the posts….
and 2champ4pick6…liked all ur points…..
there u go Miramontes, way to to show the true colors of a bronco fan…looking at the glass half full…..
i did like Moss today….w/ Dj out we may see our other rookies step up…
wow,,a short week to prepare 4 the browns….
3 ints , 14 yards rushing : you loose the game , bottom line exept you have the best D of the league or a HOF QB . The positive note is the D did a pretty good job , at least Jarvis was on the field making plays .Champ presence was sorely missed and it showed all the naysayers how good he is : when a DB has about 12 tackles , you know ( and so does the opponement ) where your weakness is and you have to fix it .3 days is a short time , unless a miracle we’ll loose at Cleveland but NO !!! The season isn’t over . The D is improving and sooner or later ( hopefully sooner ) the offense’s struggles will be fixed , our coah is an offensive mastermind , there’s talent on this side so the unit will improve and if if the ealy season groove comes back , we can clinch postseason .
short week this week
Shanny needs to dumb down the playbook and bring everything back to some basics for our game on thursday. Get back on track with the run, get the play action going, and get our defense to get pressure and be more aggressive.
We have too much talent on offense to be so bad.
This has been a tough year to be a fan.
Short week and we travel east. This does not look good. So I took my dad to the game yesterday in celebration of his birthday and I have to thank this s#$t team for a good time. The consession food sucked and the team sucked more! I am f#*$#@*# disapointed in this team, coaching staff and rest of this disorganization. I think I’ll just stay home and watch for the rest of the season. 8-8 or worse here we come and no playoffs! YOU GUYS SUCK!
Words can’t explain how I feel about this season thus far. It has been a rollarcoaster ride. I still don’t understand why turnovers are such an issue with this team. It isn’t that hard to tuck the ball away. Also in ever interview Cutler always talks about yeah turnovers they kill us blah blah and they he goes out and throws INTs. Jay is starting to look like Plummer they way he carelessly throws the ball. WTF!!!! 14 yards rushing, Terrell Davis could rush for 14 yards with his eyes closed on one leg. OK maybe not just an analogy. We go from a dominant run team with 1000 yard rushers like crazy to this. I don’t know… when week 17 ends we’ll see how we did. I know I’m going to get bashed for being not positive or a loyal fan but, I think the Broncos have awesome talent and great players and coaches, but I don’t think they have what it takes to make it in the playoffs. I know that is a long ways out yet but for the past 3 weeks I’m sure that they’ve been hearing turnovers turnovers turnovers… and they still choose not to do anything about it. I’m sorry but if we give even the worst team turnovers like we’ve been doing even the Lions could beat us.
All in all the defense played decently, one long run but fairly controlled. Cutler had the interceptions, but defense limited the damage. Offense was not on the field very much the first half, so hard to score points. It was nice to see that no fumbles occured so that shut up some of the nay sayers on that subject. If you saw the broadcast of the games the list of wild card playoff contenders was long with some very good teams, the broncos are 500 team, should be better but not the end of the world. The flag on the offensive interference was just flat the worse call, the announcers just said they did not see anything out of the normal, nothing to be called for and db did a fine acting job. If that play does not get called we have the lead. That was a ten point reversal of the score board, while other calls have not gone our way during the last few games, this one directly altered the outcome of the game. Time to put it in the past and go take it out on the brownies
Its funny how people are saying stop hating on this team there was a few good points and this and that. Everyone was saying that last year and the year before, this is the NFL how long do us bronco fans need to wait, we traded portis look at him this year M.V.P we have totally forgot about the run and wheres the bootleg at, i hate bashing on the team but what about when i go to work right now and i get bashed on just like last week for that humiliating game, i still have faith in this season but dont think sandieago is gonna keep playing like this it might come down to the last game of the year in SD. As fans we have a right to rag on the team when they pull this b.s every week when we all know what they can really play like, i mean the titans are 8-0 why because they play as a team, this week is huge and we need a win bad.
Heh you can say whatever you want to say, when you go to work other team fans are going to give you crap. I take shot at my friends teams and vice versa. What I hate as a former coach and official is the stupid comments. I have no idea on what happens in the Broncos locker, so for me to stand here and say cut this guy, fire him yak yak yak. I gettired of hearing from some people who you know they have no clue, but they are welcome to come vent their frustrations, just like everyone else. No need for name calling, bad play and bad call made for bad night
as cartaker would say can’t we all just get along! LOL
THE CALL ON MARSHALLS SO CALLED PUSH OFF CHANGED THIS GAME JAY NEEDED TO MAKE THE PLAY HE DID AND THE TEAM DIDNT GET ANY HELP FROM THIS SO CALLED OFFICIAL WORST CALL EVER. JAY QUIT THROWING WITHOUT LOOKING OFF THE DEFENDERS THERE JUST GETTING IN THE PASSING LANES ON YOU . LETS GO THURSDAY GO BRONCOS.
I suggest that if your reasons for venting your frustration on here and bashing your favorite team are because you can’t stand the humiliation and the back and forth tease amongst co-workers or friends that you be a band wagon jumper and start rooting for whatever team is having the best season, the super bowl winners, or be one of those fans that when you ask them who their team is, they simply say “I just like certain players, I don’t really have a favorite team” OR you learn some swift quick come backs dude I mean come on. Stop being a baby with some monday-tuesday football teasing. That’s half the comradery of the game.
One of my best friends is a Browns fan, I really think we can win this game, my only concern is DJ being out now. But if we lose, not to put it on injurys or turnovers, when he starts running his mouth you think of a come back. Mine will simply be, atleast Denver is good enough to keep their team the first time! HAHAHAHA!
That being said we have to understand that Cutler is young brian_schneider and he is going to make mistakes. I believe it was Mark Cooper who said when Elway was first hear it was the same boat for him with people saying he throws it away too much blah blah blah. Young qb’s flat out make mistakes, they tend to think they have the ball the most so they need to make the plays. It’s riding on their shoulders. I thought Plummer with some more help could have got us a ring but it’s hard to be patient when you’re use to a HOF, his problem was coming from Arizona and being use to HAVING TO MAKE THE PLAYS carry the team on his shoulders to win. Cutler still has some of that in his system from playing for Vanderbilt, give him some more time and he will mature, develope and be another HOF. I’m not going to say “keep the faith this time guys” but you don’t have to be so negative on here and get some of your younger fans down thinking the season’s over cuz they lost a game, that’s what video games are for. Oh I lost cuz I threw an interception.
One final note, was anyone else a little upset with Marshall “baby t.o.” performance because he wasn’t getting the ball? Kept walking around with his head down and moping, I’m saying before the terrible p.i. call!?? I remember sitting in the break room at work and saying to this guy that doesn’t even care about football, he needs to keep his chin up and stay in the game, the other team in taking him out of the game is opening the field up for Royal and the rest of our team! Then he caught that TD and I was like see, he just has to keep working, just cuz you aren’t getting the ball doesn’t mean you aren’t important. Then I saw the flag, told him “just like I told you before the refs really don’t like or want Denver to win, and asked him what he thought” He watched the replay and said ya, I don’t see where the foul was! What my question is though, isn’t it seeming like maybe Cutler isn’t just forcing balls to Marshall before but Marshall was almost “T.O.” like in demanding the ball? Most the time he was complaining he was very well covered, but he also made some good points that with them stacking 8 in the box, then playing bump and run, Jay should try something deep more than he did. Just my thoughts.
But yeah we all know as much as the players do, we have to limit the turnovers, when we get those 80 yard drives that take 5 or more minutes off the clock, it limits the other teams posessions and gives us a better shot at winning, ESPECIALLY WHEN WE DON’T TURN IT OVER IN THE RED ZONE AT THE END OF THE DRIVE!
Hold onto the ball offense, maintain your gaps defense!
Keep your chin up Marshall, and realize each route run in a play is fundamental to the play, and each route can go the distance at any time! Not just the deep ones…..
07elway, you are my hero, a chick who can speak my mind and type faster than me. Lets see what we can do this thursday. You never really know which team is gonna show up. And it has to suck being marshall. He was locked down all game, and he finally breaks free and leaves everyone in the dust to win the game, and the ref sucks it up. That was a 10 point swing there, not to mention that the next play ended in a pick. If the ref would a life, cutler would have thrown for 2 or 3 td’s 2 picks and close to 400 yards. Then we probably would have won, DJ wouldnt have gotten injured, and we would be pretty optimistic right now. The worst part…. This blown call won’t be brought up EVERY single week for the rest of the season like the crap call the in the chargers game. Lets hope Optimus Prime “Woodyard” can bring in the same momentum that DJ brings. And I do believe that things will turn around and we can make a statement,…. we need to make a statement against these crappy browns… pun intended. Go Broncos!!! 35-14 Broncos
For those STILL bashing the Defense even after watching this game is out of their damn minds, i mean were no top 10 defense but the defense only gave up 13 poits today WITHOUT CHAMP AND BOSS. the other 13 were off the 3 turnovers. so if giving up 13 points isnt good enough for you people then obviousley your pretty stupid. The Defense made their wildcat offense thats been thrashing everyone look like a bunch of high school kids no wonder they didnt run it at all the second half. The D steppe up big Just the thing is once again WE BEAT ARE SELVES, nobody beats us we beat ourselves, if we limit are turnovers i dont see that many teams beating us. Cutler still through for over 300 yards and possibly wouldve been 400 yards and 3 touchdowns if it wasent for that BS call against Marshall. Itz pretty simple turn the ball over like weve been doing were going to lose the game limit turnovers and take care of the ball we WIN.pretty simple. So You people bashing the defense just shut tha hell up.
If I see another post with double digit errors in it, accusing anyone of stupidity, I just may die laughing.
Say what you want, call me a chargers fan (you’re dead wrong on that one lotto boy — yes, I see what your name is supposed to represent, but it’s been soooooo long since Champ returned an interception for six, I think a lotto card is a better analogy), and try again to explain to me how in any rational world three carries for one yard is “decent.”
I did not single Torain out, but since you bring it up: either he’s not ready to play, and should not have been in the game, or he needs to step it up. Three carries for 1 yard is not “decent” it’s pathetic.
I’m still waiting for that explanation. I expect it will be a long wait.
What I said was that this entire team needs to get together and play together and play at a higher level. They need to realize that they have the best jobs in the world and they get paid exorbitant salaries which we — the fans — pay for; whether it’s ticket prices, merchandising or simply tolerating all the stupid commercials for fans watching the game on TV.
The talent on this team indicates they should be playing better. They have not played well at all for a month and were spotty at best before that.
Most people don’t have the luxury of being that inconsistent at work. Let alone people who measure their weekly paychecks in five or more figures.
If anyone wants to explain in reasonable terms, supported with facts and logic (and in a coherent and legible manner) any weaknesses in my assessment, I am eager to see it.
Finally, I post on this board when I have the opportunity — both when the Broncos win and when they lose. I understand that you don’t win all the games, but the games you lose — rather than the other team winning — are hard to take. KC, Miami and NE all got wins because the Broncos lost, not because they won.
