Peyton Manning sets up under center and hands off to Joseph Addai, who carries up the left side for a 3-yard gain before he’s stopped by Justin Bannan and Jamal Williams. On the following play, Perrish Cox steps in front of Blair White to deflect a pass from Manning, and the Colts face third-and-7. Manning takes the shotgun snap and finds Addai underneath, but D.J. Williams brings down the running back 1 yard short of the first down. McAfee sets up to punt with Royal deep to receive.

Q3 9:59: Royal returns the 61-yard punt close to midfield, but the Broncos are called for holding and will take the field at the 28-yard line. Orton takes the first down snap under center and fires a comeback-route pass to Brandon Lloyd, who leaps to make the catch but can’t come down with it.

Q3 9:53: Dan Gronkowski can’t haul in Orton’s pass on second-and-10, and the Broncos face third-and-long. Orton takes the snap out of the shot gun formation and launches a pass to Lloyd, but Antoine Bethea breaks up the pass. Britton Colquitt comes out to punt.

Q3 9:35: Colquitt’s 55 yard punt sails into the hands of Jerraud Powers, and Cassius Vaughn sprints down the field to make the tackle at the Colts’ 21-yard line.

Q3 9:31: On first-and-10, Manning lines up under center, fakes to Addai, and completes a pass to Austin Collie, who’s tackled by Brian Dawkins after a 22-yard gain. The quarterback changes the call at the line of scrimmage and finds Collie, who’s stopped by Nate Jones after an 8-yard completion.

Q3 6:47: Joseph Addai carries the ball on first down for a 1-yard gain before he’s tackled by Robert Ayers and Kevin Vickerson. The receiver makes the grab and runs the ball down to the Colts’ 17-yard line for a 61-yard catch.

Q3 3:17: With a new set of downs, Orton looks to pass but can’t complete the throw to Demaryius Thomas. He can’t complete a second-down pass either, but finds Eddie Royal for a 1-yard completion on third-down. Manning sets up in the shotgun, changes the play call at the line and fires a screen pass to Reggie Wayne, who gains 7 yards before he’s tackled by Brian Dawkins. On third-and-short, Manning calls another audible and throws a quick pass to Collie, but Nate Jones is there to stop him 2 yards short of the first down. McAfee is out to punt as we enter the fourth quarter.

Q4 15:00: Eddie Royal catches McAfee’s 47-yard punt at the 25-yard line and returns it 3 yards to the 28-yard line. The quarterback lines up in the shotgun and dumps off a screen to Buckhalter on the following play that results in 8 more yards. On third-and-7, Orton scrambles to buy time, finds no one in front of him and runs 9 yards for a first down.

Q4 11:20: With a fresh set of downs, Orton completes a pass to Jabar Gaffney for no gain. On second-and-10, Orton has plenty of time to pass, but no one gets open. He hits his checkdown receiver, Laurence Maroney, who makes a couple of nice moves and advances the ball to the Colts’ 19-yard line for a 28-yard gain.

Q4 10:15: Orton takes the snap under center and hands off to Correll Buckhalter, who runs for 3 yards. The signal caller throws out of Demaryius Thomas’ reach on the next play, and hits Jabar Gaffney on third down 3 yards short of the first down. The Broncos are going for it on fourth-and-3, but Orton’s pass is incomplete and Denver turns the ball over on downs.

Q4 8:42: Manning takes over at the Colts’ 12-yard line and hands off to Addai. Kevin Vickerson and Brian Dawkins stop the draw play after a 3-yard gain, and Manning completes a 7-yard pass to Dallas Clark before he’s tackled by Darcel McBath.

COLTS 27 – BRONCOS 13

Q4 4:26: Eddie Royal watches as McAfee’s kickoff sails out of the end zone for a touchback. Orton sets up in the shotgun and completes a quick comeback pass to Gaffney for 6-yards. On first-and-10, Buckhalter reels in a 4-yard pass, and then the quarterback finds Eddie Royal for 18-yards.

On third down, the Broncos are called for false start and now face a third-and-15 from the 22-yard line. Orton throws a screen to Buckhalter for 2 yards, and the Broncos call a timeout.

Q4 1:31: Facing fourth-and-14 from the 20-yard line, Orton launches a pass to Demaryius Thomas in the end zone. Thomas appears to have the catch, but he can’t come down with it between two Colts’ defenders and the Broncos turn the ball over on downs.

Q4 1:30: Donald Brown rushes for 6 yards, and Denver calls its second timeout. On second-and-4 from the 26-yard line, Manning hands off to Brown for no gain.

Q4 1:26: The Broncos have called their last timeout. D.J. Williams and Jason Hunter stopped Addai for no gain, and Royal is deep to receive a punt from McAfee.

Q4 0:38: Indianapolis ran the clock down as far as the team could and called a timeout. McAfee punts a high, hanging football for Royal, who returns it 16 yards to Denver’s 47-yard line.

Q4 0:23: Jabar Gaffney catches a 14-yard pass from Orton, and then catches another ball as the clock runs out. That’s the end of the ball game.
