Losing to the Raiders and the Chiefs when the playoffs are on the line?? I agree with Beastyfan, something needs to be corrected and it starts with the Coach. We had one of the best ranked offenses in the league last year, so we bring in McDaniels to overhaul it?? What was that?? McDaniels starts off with player issues and ends with player issues, it doesn’t take a genius to wonder if we might have coach issues?? Nice move Bowlen. 2-7 down the stretch….I’m out of here until next year.

The coaches call the plays and put the players in position. It is the players job to execute and missed tackles and ints are not McDs fault.
I think we did okay. Vegas had us at 6 games and we ended up with 8. If you would have said we would have had 8 wins I think I would have said you were crazy.

People fault Orton, McDaniels, Marshall and whoever else but we are over looking two things. Penalties and missed tackles have killed us in our losses. It surely killed us last week and this week.
There is so much to be said about this failed season (a non winning season is a failed season in anyone’s book), I don’t know where to start. Ok, I’ll start with the fact that we didn’t win any of the easy games we had to have, not to mention we didn’t win a single division game at home, which I think might be a record for us. Good teams win the games they have to win, the gimme games, if you wish, we couldn’t tell the difference with must win games and whatever, we ended up being a real sorry excuse of a team at season end. We were a fraud, I don’t care how people will be offended by that, we were just that, a total joke whenever it really mattered. The only games we won were the ones that didn’t have anything on the line, all others, when they mattered, we miserably failed at, it was just a miserable thing to watch. I am glad we are not in the playoffs, what a joke that would be….
Play calling? watching the last few games I’d have to agree that some of the plays called were questionable. they should have beat both the raiders and the eagles. they just couldn’t finish it out. When the defense was slow, we had no offense. When the defense showed up, we still had no offense! how many points were they able to get off of the turnovers in the colts game…3? They completely shut down the eagles and the colts in the second half and there was no offense.
We’ll see you next year. it’s so frustrating but I’ll be back.
Just so you know guys, over the years I have always found out that predicting the season win/loss record always works best for me when I predict it right after the draft when the season schedule comes out, that way I do away with all the daily soap opera stuff. Proof at hand, I said 8-8, and 8-8 it is. I wonder where the “cheerleader bloggers” are, who, at the beginning of the season, were giving me crap about my so called incredibly stupid record guess, since we had gotten a new coach, hence we should of at least expected a better record than the guy’s record we fired (Shanahan). Some of these bloggers aren’t even here any longer, so I guess we won’t hear a word from them since I’ve noticed they rather play in their play pen website rather than to argue with the real football fans we have here. Bottom line is, football has a lot more to do with football knowledge than football cheerleading.

After all that’s been said and done, it really wasn’t that bad of a season, considering getting a new coaching staff and so many new players.
My only regret is having to listen to those insufferable Charger fans…again!

I was thinking that perhaps Shanahan might be able to take what McD started and polish it up a bit, and end up with a much better team.
On the other hand, it’s only McDaniels’ 1st year.
The real turning point of the season was when Ryan Harris and Jack Williams got hurt in the Ravens game. Neither got enough credit. I really just don’t like MCD’s answers. Same thing over and over. I think now that the season is over we would have had more patience with Cutler. Shanahan drafted most of our Pro-Bowl players and I really hope he comes back! MCD did allot for this team and deserves credit for allot of things but Mike Shanahan is who should be our GM at the very minimum.
We have a great group of guys! This team has made major improvements from last year. I hope we stay aggressive this off-season. My wish list would be to bring back Shanahan,Torian, Kuper, Doom, Orton and Marshall! Eric Berry, Taylor Mays should be our first round pick!
PS: I want to say…wouldnt have mattered because JETS are thomping the Bengals…but yes…it does still matter because We lost at home last game of the season do or die divisional rivals with a horrible record and we lost in pathetic fashion….
And for those saying, “Hey, at the beginning of the season if they said we would be 8 -8 many of us would take it” I wouldnt…because I saw us at 10-6 but thats not the reason why….but because we started 6-0 and then decided we didnt know how to play football anymore and would only win 2 more games…with a start like that, thats pathetic no matter what way you try to spin it.
and oh yea…we might have traded our 1st round pick for a secodn round pick but at least we got phonzy He did nothing, and when he started to slide he just faded to the background and almost didnt exist anymore….Smart move Mikkie D….(for our sakes i hope phonzy isnt a waste of a first round pick)

Don’t give up people. We are Bronco fans to the bone. we will be here next year and the year after that because that is what we are. We just got spoiled on the first 6 games, Wow what a change, but after that it was down hill. Some of you are right, poor tackling and poor offensive play killed us. I just want to know what happened on that week off? The thing to look forward to is we have a good coaching staff and a New Coach that is working the bugs out of a young team, some will go and the one that want to stay will stay , atleast they will be loyal players. Go Bronco’s 2010 yeah!!
I’ve been a Bronco fan since ’77 and have lived through some rough times in that stretch, 4 S.B. losses, the ’96 season of 13-3 only to lose in the first round to Jacksonville but at least they have been a pretty good team for all those years compared to some of the other teams, so lighten up, it’s not the end of the world. Hey at least we’ve made history the last 2 years. As cocky as McD is, he will get better as he gets older and wiser and we will be back. Patience
You guys can say and feel anything you like, but Mike S. won’t be back and even though I loved him while he was here, it was time for a change. Everyone, including myself was having the time of their lives when this team was 6-0. I still love My Broncos and I’ll still cheer for them and you bandwagoners can go fly a kite or cheer for the Lakers if You want, but I know for a fact that the Lakers have let you down once in a while or you haven’t been a Laker fan very long. Or maybe you jump ship when you feel like it with them too.
