DB, why are you scared of Power Rankings? Nothing that’s happened this year has made any sense anyway. The Power Rankings aren’t going to do anything to our team or their focus. Fox won’t even let them go to Vegas this weekend. LOL

  2. OTbroncos says:

Rahim Moore once again at 100%. Not too shabby for a guy labeled a “bust” last year. Research and development in the real world, drafting and development in the NFL world. We all need to keep this in mind when looking at a player like Ronnie Hillman.

  3. tlcat06 says:

I think Ronnie is going to be just fine. It was his first fumble all season and had Peyton gotten hurt trying to be a safety, I’m sure my tune would be different, but he didn’t. It’s just his first season and he’s done a real nice job for us. I’m seriously looking for one of our running backs to break a 50+ yard run during the playoffs… we haven’t had one yet, so close, but not had one.

  4. tlcat06 says:

DB, I understand the major market prejudice, but he also faced that in Indy. He wins MVP. And if he doesn’t, then he wins SB MVP.

  5. OTbroncos says:

Forget about the fumble, those things happen, although I’m not excusing it. I’ve had my reservations about Hillman starting on draft day, but I realize that I’m not an expert, and I also understand that you cannot form a proper opinion on a draft pick until at least year three. I trust Fox as far as RB’s go, I’d just like to see him put on a few pounds during the offseason.

  6. tlcat06 says:

I agree 100% OT. I think, given the chance, he is going to be Sproles like.

  7. strandoftds82 says:

Ronnie Hillman will learn from this and bounce back, he’ll be fine. But in a playoff game, you fumble like that and in one play, your season is over. Foxy didn’t put Hillman back in as just a precaution so Ronnie can gain a little bit of confidence for the next time he’s in. I have faith in Ronnie Hillman. Something like this late in the season calls for patience for a rookie. Ronnie will get his shot.

  8. OTbroncos says:

Great article on Del Rio cat. I love how he said he is 100% committed. It’s about time we had some stability with our DC. I’d actually be surprised if McCoy left, as outside of the Bears job, nothing seems that great IMO. Both McCoy and Del Rio’s stock will not fall any by staying with this team IMO. Last year would have been the year to jump ship (before we got Manning), as that season would have been extremely difficult to duplicate the way it was IMO.

  9. OTbroncos says:

Let’s also not forget that Atlanta interviewed McCoy last season, and chose not to hire him. I’m jumping the gun here, but it could be something during the interview process. The NFL is small world, and if he goes 0-3 this year, it won’t bode well for him..

  10. OTbroncos says:

    *Miami interviewed McCoy last season

  11. RH709 says:

Hillman did have another fumble. He was just lucky it bounced straight out of bounds.

Hillman still gets almost five yards a run. He needs so development but he will be very good.

  12. RH709 says:

And DB, Im pretty sure that Rapelessberger won it his rookie year after beating us in the AFC game.

  13. RH709 says:

I lied. Ben did it in year two.

  14. tlcat06 says:

Yeah Ben was the youngest to win but that was during year 2

  15. OTbroncos says:

Anyone watching the Stanford vs Wisconsin game? I’d be happy with either of these two RB’s…

  16. strandoftds82 says:

I’d want Montee Ball as RB.

  17. strandoftds82 says:

I forgot, that RB of Stanford is a jack of trades. He’s sound too. Stephan something, I forgot his last name.

  18. alex4serg says:

part of the fun – a big part – has been serving crow.

manning cant come back. neck surgery. missed a season. over the hill. gonna be out for the season first time he is sacked. HERE IS YOUR CROW.

Moreno is a low character no-talent bust. heres your crow.

the people that said halfway through the 1st sd game when we were down 24 – 0 that not only was that game over but the entire season was over … here is you DOUBLE HELPING of crow.

to the guy that told me i was dreaming when i said the broncs have a good chance of winning out the season after the pats game. heres your crow.

and for the people that say the broncs have no chance to win the SB i have some crow on a low simmer. hopefully i will get to serve it with some favre beans and a nice chianti

    GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  19. RH709 says:

Looks like Andy Reid will end up in AZ.

  20. alex4serg says:

    good article cat.

also reminds me of why i place kurt warner of all people top 5 all time

  21. strandoftds82 says:

I honestly don’t believe that the Bengals can win in Houston. So as for the Colts vs Ravens game, I haven’t a clue. It’ll be either of these 2 teams I think.

  22. RH709 says:

Im calling wins by the Bengals and Colts.

  23. strandoftds82 says:

If we do end up playing the Bengals, they won’t even have a chance in Mile High. NO WAY, NO HOW!

  24. tnalen66 says:

The Bengals are the closest complete team to us. Very good offense and very good defense. They have only lost 1 game since we beat them and it was by 1 point on a last second FG. They have done away with their demons (Pitt, & Balt) & crushed the Giants. They are a very scary team.

  25. socalbigbroncofan says:

The only team i think will give us a run is n.e. But if houston wins in round 1 they will have a chance for payback. And i rather play Houston in our house. They are hit and miss.

  26. tnalen66 says:

Remember the 1996 Broncos, started 12-1 had home field ,#1 seed and a 9-7 Jacksonville team came in and beat us. That was the best Broncos team and they got beat.

  27. socalbigbroncofan says:

That team was also voted to being the closest for a team to a have threepeat of championships.

  28. strandoftds82 says:

I remember well, like it was yesterday. That loss was devastating! I felt numb for weeks. We gotta take care of business in our own house. I’m still not concerned at all. Not our next game! I BELIEVE!!!

  29. strandoftds82 says:

Our Denver Broncos is playing great ball right now. They won’t let up!

  30. OTbroncos says:

Last comment on the HC carousel. One thing that people are not mentioning is the ability for certain candidates to build a staff. The difference between a college head coach or a coordinator with no HC experience, and say a guy like Andy Reid or Lovie Smith, is ten fold when put to task to assemble a pro football staff. For the most part, a HC is only as good as his staff, including coordinators, and this is a major question for owners/GM’s when evaluating a potential HC candidate.

  31. RH709 says:

As far as coaching goes. I like it better when a head coach hires an offensive and defensive coordinators. some head coaches think they can be a head coach and a coordinator. I have rarely seen this go well and it usually cause the HC is spread too thin to effectively do it all.

  32. RH709 says:

With that said. A PMFM team doesnt really need a OC. Unless you feel like you want another guy going over film and running some meetings during the week.

  33. RH709 says:

I agree that Manning deserves the MVP but I couldn’t. Read anymore after they made the statement that Denver was one dimensional. They obviously don’t understand how a Manning offense works.

  34. tlcat06 says:

Lol yes. The one dimensional thing made me mad. But that’s how people view this offense. The 500+ running yards over the course of the last what? 6 games? We aren’t one dimensional. In fact I’ve seen him push the run more than ever. But let them keep thinking that!

Actually, I think the Colts have a better shot of beating the Ravens than the Bengals do the texans… I still expect 5 and 6 to win. But it might be because I don’t want to play the Colts.

  35. alaskanbronco06 says:

Eagles now have an interview set up with Mike McCoy. I believe all 4 are during this week.

  36. tlcat06 says:

Out of 7 that’s impressive and no way do we keep him in my opinion. But I really do think he will go to Chicago.

  37. alaskanbronco06 says:

Only two teams in the past 5 years ended on an 11 game win streak. What current Bronco was on both of them?

  38. alaskanbronco06 says:

So I guess there was a poll for Denver and Patriot fans about who they want to play. Ravens got lowest percentage for both. The Ravens have taken that as we fear them. (Colts were highest for Denver and Texans highest for Pats)

  39. brian_schneider says:

Manning, he did it with the Colts and now did it with the Bronocs.

  40. alaskanbronco06 says:

    No it wasnt Manning.

  41. alaskanbronco06 says:

    Wasnt Champ either.

  42. alaskanbronco06 says:

According to a report Chiefs asked for an interview with McCoy but were turned down by McCoys request. Lol well it has to be because he doesnt want to coach against Denver as he does have other interviews set up lol

  43. RH709 says:

Although. wasnt dj williams on that team too?

  44. alaskanbronco06 says:

No only one Bronco was part of it. And both years wernt with the Broncos.

  45. RH709 says:

If I was McCoy, I’d want the Chicago job. McCoy could fix the offense as well as find a DC who could continue to run the cover 2 zone defense.

  46. RH709 says:

    Dan Koppen is the answer.
